[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,489,true] | [atrb=background,http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll347/MissJane_08/Wolf%20Charries/alakay-middle.png] White snow. The frozen water crystals that fell from the sky like hopeless souls. They came down one by one. Floating without a care toward the earth, leaving this cold nostalgic feeling lingering above. The skies were consistent with holding a gray hue. While the snow made everything appear white, with black shadows. A world without color, Alakay liked it. Yet his dark orange form stuck out greatly. Long black stilt like legs stood on one leg then the other. The newly fallen snow on the higher grounds bit at his thin legs and small paws. A rash shiver filtered through his whole body as it was the second winter he had experienced. Being young and care free as he was back then, snow seemed pleasant and fun to play with. But now, he wished he could create fire for warmth. Living among the Revolt was nothing special in his view. Others thought that the Revolt was some group created along side the Order. They were wrong, considering the Revolt was created first. The revolt was within Seshafi's mind the day she found Crouse and himself. She knew the perfect plan with her devious mind to take control of whatever she wanted. They owned these lands of the crystal stream. You were warned by the over powering scent of the Revolt. Even though Alakay hated the Revolt so much, even though he had a good chance to just run and get away cleanly. He stayed. Why, he wasn't even sure. He was scared. Scared to go into the real world, find a pack? Try to converse or even talking to another normal wolf seemed so unrealistic to his in slaved mind. That was the consequence of living behind enemy lines for so long. Besides he was a wolf that most of Traum hardly knew by the name, but the face was placed in everyones mind. He was apart of this wrongful rebellion and he would forever hold that on his back. A wolf without a reputation but already was filtered down into nothing but dirt. That's how he was treated of course. Now wandering the lands, as if nothing better to do than half ass chase a winter rabbit. Large bat like ears twitched to the side. Someone was within the reach of him. Squinting with irritation, he knew strict orders from Seshafi and the others. Chase or kill all those who trespass. Red tinted orbs flashed to the right as he slowly walked toward the two wolves merly ten feet in front of him. Listening, then taking a deep breathe and sighing back out. A cloud of white came from his nostrils and mouth. Walking into their view, he had this crazed chesire smirk on his maw. Dome leaned forward, as his eyes kept a rough glare to them. Two fae's, one smelt of many lands while the other of the Realm. Leaning his head back up, acting to get a better view. He laughed. "Milady? Escort? Sounds as if you have it made my dear." He looked at Sascha, then to Idris. It was clear this female before him was stronger and a great Warrior. Alakay wasn't as stupid as he looked to take quick movements. Keeping that cocky smirk strong, he cocked his head to the side. "Well I'm more than positive you know where you are, Warrior." He commented hard, as if implying this is your chance to get away. Cause that was in fact the thing he was thinking of. ooc; i just love alakay, hope you don't mind me jumping in <3

As Idris tilted her head in curiosity, Sascha had to wonder what was going through her mind at the moment, wondering if she thought of what her parents did as odd. She didn't like what happened, sure, but she couldn't control it, and she couldn't change it, so it was what it was. Perhaps she had misjudged her and she thought that it was weird, very much unlike how her parents had named her. She reminded herself, she needed to relax, she was way too uptight, but she found she just couldn't, it seemed it wasn't in her nature. Where she had started to relax, she was now uptight again, though she didn't listen around herself like before since she felt she was safer in this place than most others.
"My name is a brute's name, actually. 'Ardent lord,' it means. My father insisted on it, despite my mother's objections. He came to regret that, I think...always pinned the blame on it for why I didn't turn out as exactly the ideal femme."
That surprised her, and put some perspective on her own name though she was still not liking it all that much. She knew that a name didn't make one who they were, though, and she felt sympathy toward Idris for having that happen to her. She smiled, knowing she wasn't exactly the best example of femininity either due to how she had grown up and what she was. There reality was again, looking her in the face, as it always was, reminding her of exactly what she was and why she'd never truly fit in anywhere. So far, she knew that she'd fit in fine with the Warriors, but she also knew that she wouldn't truly belong, she was different, a hybrid.
"Not at all. We welcome all those who mean no harm--those with a bright spirit in particular. Might I have the honor of being your escort, milady?"
Of course her request had made her nervous, but she was glad when she heard those words, and could feel herself starting to become less nervous once more. Perhaps this wouldn't be so bad, though she didn't feel like she could accept becoming part of a pack yet, especially what was for her a large one. She knew coyotes maintained smaller, more family like packs, contrasting with the wolves apparently, though this had never bothered her much. Now, though, she didn't know what awaited for her in the future with this pack, or if it was stable, also unlike a coyote pack. She just nodded, and walked up beside her, her mind still going every which direction and unable to determine whether she should feel excited, scared, nervous, happy, or other feelings in between.
Feeling like she had to respond to Idris's explanation of her name, she replied, "You may have not agreed with your father, but be glad you knew him, mine ran off before I was born and thus I never knew him. It was just my mother and I, though she always told me that it wasn't his fault, that he was watching over us despite having left. Still, I don't know whether to hate him for leaving my mother or not." Yes, there was much confusion in her life, but she had just learned to mostly ignore it and just focus on moving forward. At least that way she would never have to deal with the ever present pain, and instead could keep her mind on more important matters.
Her head suddenly turned, however, as she heard someone moving and saw movement out of the corner of her eye as well. She found herself shocked and scared once more as she realized she had misjudged Idris, that she had been tricked. Idris had been waiting for backup after all. This... creature... looked like a large fox to her, and she knew that foxes were tricky, which meant it probably was as well. This would only mean that it would only be worse for her if she didn't get away, though she didn't know if she could from it as well. She had to try, though, and perhaps she could use some trickery of her own to elude it before she got her throat ripped out.
Hearing its, his, voice, her heart leaped into her throat, and she knew that it was now or never if she wanted to survive. With that, she turned with her tail between her legs and started running for who knows where, any place was better than with those two. She couldn't believe it, just when she had thought she had found a place for herself, she hadn't after all, it was all just a trick, a lie. She couldn't trust anyone, that was what had landed her in that position, and she probably would always be alone, unlike her mother. There was little sympathy in this world for hybrids, and she guessed her mother used up her own share, leaving her empty.

"Milady? Escort? Sounds as if you have it made my dear."
The words shattered the tentative peace of the moment like heavy paws on thin ice, wrenching Idris out of her little space of gleeful calm. She whirled to face the wry-mouthed intruder, hackles already bristling over her massive shoulders, pillar-like legs planted firmly on the rocky ground.
Before her was a gangly creature, large, bat-like ears framing his malicious expression, red coat and ominous dark mane lying over a thin, stretched-out body, tall but lean. She hadn't met this creature before, but she'd heard of him well enough--there was only one such maned wolf in Revolt, to the best of her knowledge, which meant she was facing Alakay, rapist, pariah, punching bag. She sized him up in one harsh, excoriating rush of her eyes along his body, allowing a hint of disdain to sneak onto her previously even features. Not normally one to be so brashly opposed to another creature, Idris was acting out of the ordinary; her recent encounter with Twilight Heaven had left her sharper than usual, more hungry, and this Revolt wolf's sudden interruption of her slow progress with Sascha had angered her. What was worse, he was a rapist. If there was any act wolves were capable of that galled Idris, it was rape.
"Well I'm more than positive you know where you are, Warrior."
Her hackles shivered up into their full display, a brutal arrangement of dagger-like darkness cresting the line of her back, the tawny gold beneath visible only from behind. She snorted, and her feather fell along her face, contrasting with her bright eyes, glowing in anger.
"I sure do." When she spoke, her voice was pitched low but loud, a threatening rumble. "I'm in a pretty place called the Crystal Stream that's got itself a bad infestation of Revolt vermin." She narrowed her eyes at the sneering face before her. "You sure you're picking the right fight, scapegoat?"
The sudden sound of scampering paws attracted her attention, and she turned her head just in time to see Sascha bolting for it, nearly blurring her limbs with her efforts to flee. Idris felt a horrible, desperate, furious sinking in her stomach.
"No! Sascha!" she called out, her voice alarmed and pleading. Then she whirled back to Alakay, frustrated.
"I don't have time for you, you puffed up spider. But if you've scared her off for good, be sure I'll come find you."
And with that, she sprang off on mighty haunches, flinging herself headfirst on Sascha's path with thunder and the pounding of a heavy body. "Sascha!" she called out again, breathless from the chase, but slowly gaining. She watched only the small, sprinting figure before her, feet landing where they would on the slick rocks large and small. She was nearly on Sascha's flipping, bounding tail when one paw landed wrong, and her leg twisted.
The big warrior gave an unusual yelp at the sudden pain, more in surprise than anything, and stumbled. She didn't quite fall, managing to collect herself on her other legs, but it still took her a few moments to regain her balance and continue onwards.
"Sascha, he can't hurt you!" Gritting her teeth against the pain, Idris continued running, limping hard on her foreleg with every pace but gaining speed nevertheless. She was drawing close again, though her breath was ragged. "I won't let him!"

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,489,true] | [atrb=background,http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll347/MissJane_08/Wolf%20Charries/alakay-middle.png] He knew very well he could be getting himself into trouble. Yet it was strict orders to fend off any intruders within the unofficially claimed area of the Revolt. This Warrior was clear with her rank and spot. There was a feather, showing her position among the Warriors. Yet it was the some what distinct protective and intimidating look within her eye that popped out so boldly of what this wolf truly was. At that, it was clear this female was very capable of taking him down just then. "I sure do. I'm in a pretty place called the Crystal Stream that's got itself a bad infestation of Revolt vermin. You sure you're picking the right fight, scapegoat?" A voice to match that image. She snarled before him, Alakay knew it was a noble and instant reaction to him. Yet all he did was smirk. Giving a some what disgusted look, but it wasn't really toward them it was because what she said was true. The free lands were invaded by the ridiculous band of wolves known as the Revolt. Which he was regrettably apart of. Yet he sneered back a bit, only to glance at the smaller and very frigged wolf behind the warrior. A full fledged look of despair and fright had flooded the small wolves features. Tail tucked, the young female went off running. Alakay let out a exhaling laugh as the realization came to Idris. Yelling no and to stop, Alakay just simply smiled as Idris realized this. It was strange to see a healthy wolf as Sascha to dart off like that, but Alakay shrugged it off as a bit of relief sighed through him. "I don't have time for you, you puffed up spider. But if you've scared her off for good, be sure I'll come find you." Raising an wolfen- eyebrow he raised his head slightly in response. Idris then quickly darted off, her large and bulk form starting to fade into the gray tainted area. Sighing deeply, as the form of white cloud escaped from his warm insides. He shivered from the winter's cold that bite at him. Beginning to turn around, he was relieved he hadn't needed to do anything and they were out of his sight, otherwise not his problem. Yet in the second he pivoted his front leg, the sound of a harsh yelp screeched through the area. Ears flicked curious to what could have happened. Alakay sighed in disgust one more time as he hesitantly turned back. Adding a bit to his pace, as he strangely headed toward Idris' direction. Thinking how she called him the scapegoat, a puffed up spider. He stopped, hesitant to go any further. What was he doing? They were enemies. It was that Warriors duty to stop, or even kill the wolves like him. He froze, looking down into the bit of snow that had engulfed his small black paws. Feeling them go numb, he was like a frozen statue of emotions as he continued to see the flowing white clouds from his nose. Yes he was the scapegoat, the one no one cared about. He was very aware of that, too aware of it. While he knew he was a creep, lengthier and darker than most maned wolves on the island. He was all around a unwelcoming sort of guy, but he stepped forward. Only a bit ahead, he heard Idris' shouts to Sascha, swearing to protect her. He came up from behind, yet a few feet away. What was he to do now? Approaching could cost him his life, yet he then spotted the Warriors attempts to stay off a twisted leg. He frowned, "What use are you, with a leg like that?" He baffled, head still raised a little to cocky. Looking out of the corner of his eye, hoping the small one hadn't really ran off alone, considering where they are. He closed his eyes for a moment. Pondering and taking deep concentration on the area. Pretty sure no other Revolt was really close. Focusing on Idris, how she was still determined to save the small wolf, to protect her from himself. He frowned a little more, deep inside Alakay truly hated himself. Hated how he didn't have the courage to stand against the Revolt. Defending himself has only deepened him on the others' loathe list. He was a wolf whom simply gave up. Yet he had no intentions of harming or calling for the other Revolt members. He really wanted to possibly hurry and get them out of here.

Sascha didn't turn as she heard as she heard Idris calling for her, her plan had been revealed, or at least that is what she thought. She had been panicked, and she didn't even hear what they had said before she had run off, she only cared about her own safety. She could feel adrenaline coursing through her veins, which was causing her focus to narrow on what was ahead of her while her perceptions widened to make her aware of every little sound that she could hear. Her eyes darted left and right each time she thought she saw or heard movement ahead of her, and she was very aware that she was being followed. She had to go as far as she can, she couldn't give up since that wasn't her way, nor her kind's way as she very well knew.
She knew that Idris was catching up to her, she couldn't run any faster as fear filled her heart at what might be done to her. She couldn't let that happen, she just couldn't let herself get caught by the likes of her, a deceiver of the grandest scale. That thought just wouldn't leave her head, she had really thought she could finally trust someone, but that trust was obviously misguided. She knew now that wolves were not to be trusted, they ranked up there with the foxes, like the long legged one that was following as well. She was starting to hate that side of herself, she just couldn't stand that she was related to such despicable creatures.
Just as she felt the breath on her tail she turned and started going into the forest itself, picking her way nimbly through it. She was startled as she heard a yelp of pain from Idris, and part of her wanted to go help though the more dominant, more primal fear was still in control. She couldn't think of what to do, if she stopped then she was bound to be captured but if she went on then she wouldn't be. Part of her didn't want to believe it, though, and was telling her that Idris wasn't as bad as she was thinking, but this was again brushed aside. If she wasn't as bad, then why did that fox creature come up on them, why was it hanging around there at all almost as if in wait?
Her inattention was apparent, and soon she was almost out of hearing range of Idris as she slowed, panting and not hearing much pursuit, or so she thought. She listened as she continued to move forward, hearing her foe yell out that he wouldn't hurt her with her pain showing clearly in her voice. Something about it, perhaps how desperate it was, finally broke through Sascha's shell that her instincts had made. Perhaps she had gotten this all wrong, despite what every fiber of her being told her that the creatures she had seen were dangerous. She knew how devious creatures could be along the path of life, but she could swear that there was sincerity within the wolf's voice, that she would be protected.
Finally, she stopped and turned down, keeping her body low in a defensive posture, ready to strike then run at any moment. She couldn't just trust them, she had that trust, but she wanted desperately for at least Idris to actually want to be friends with her. Fear could be apparent in her eyes as she waited for them to approach, but as she realized the other one was with her she let out a growl. "Leave me alone, creature. This does not concern you." She knew that probably wouldn't work, how pathetic she looked, but she did it anyway since her instincts told her it was right, and they were what kept her tied to this world.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,534,true] | [atrb=background,http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll347/MissJane_08/Wolf%20Charries/idris-middle.png]
The pain in her leg was formidable with every additional blow she landed on it from her great weight, but Idris continued running. There was a great pounding in her chest, echoing and resounding in that deep, bellows-like chamber. It was nothing close to the roar that fighting Twilight Heaven had set up, that blinding, red-eyed berserker rage, but it was a steady rush nonetheless. Salty sea waves of blood and adrenaline crashed in her body, breakers at the flowing of the tide.
Still, she watched her footing a bit more carefully now. She could keep going at this rate, and even turn to fight Alakay if she had to, but another injury could drastically lower her chances; if she fell wrong, it could even cripple her. Her powerful jaw gritted tightly, teeth grinding slightly against the edges of her tongue, and she kept up the pace, eyes trained on Sascha's wildly bouncing tail.
She heard Alakay's voice from somewhere behind her: "What use are you, with a leg like that?" Suppressing a snarl, she pushed onwards, fighting to keep her face open. Sascha was more important right now, and she knew any appearance of hostility from her would only send her even further on her way. If it came to it, he'd see just what use she was, anyway.
Finally, something made Sascha stop and turn, though she was still obviously full of fear and uncertainty. Idris pulled up as well, slowing her momentum to a gentle lope and then stillness. She did her best to pour her heart into her face, breaking completely through her sometimes stoic mask to a melting effusion of sincerity. Her muzzle was slightly open as she panted gently, eyes bright but not battle-bright or fever-bright, just the brightness of worry, interest, and affection, and her ears were tipped forward, dark tips trembling.
Suddenly, Sascha adopted a defensive stance, bristling and baring her fangs, small body crouched and ready for combat. At first Idris thought she had decided to fight both of them, but then the little coyote-mix spoke: "Leave me alone, creature. This does not concern you."
A golden smile burst out on that chocolate-brown muzzle; she paused momentarily to let it beam out at Sascha, then whirled herself, facing Alakay. Her injured paw was lifted very slightly above the ground, but she was standing steady. No sense in hurting it more, but she wouldn't show pain, either. She shifted some of her weight onto her hind legs, just to ensure a sturdier balance; the muscles there flexed and rippled, clumping in hard rounds of muscle, while longer, more streamlined tendons stood out on her lower limbs.
Behind the brightness of her eyes, a certain cool confidence glowed, murky ochre. She had fought Twilight Heaven, after all, a beast as big as herself and possibly even more bloodthirsty, and they had come away calling it a draw.
"Even on three legs, I'm plenty of use for squishing bugs," she retorted, more calm now that Sascha wasn't running anymore.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,489,true] | [atrb=background,http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll347/MissJane_08/Wolf%20Charries/alakay-middle.png] It was sort of troubling, this scene was. As Alakay's long legs glided over the terrain with ease. He watched as the Warrior leaped moving forward. The warrior known as Idris had kept running, with a truly painful limp. She kept pushing herself to try and help the helpless fool wolf that was only a bit ahead. Alakay had slowed with a painful realization of just how great these Warriors truly were.
He frowned, toward himself mostly. He was so hated and rejected due to his rank among the revolt. These two believed he was on their track to kill them on the spot. Yet he had no liking of it. As to, if it was another Revolt member... these two would have already been ambushed upon and killed on the spot. Or, held captive, so the revolt could what they wanted, their own dirty way.
Yes the revolt was mighty popular for their kidnapping ways. Even Alakay was a victim of such. Yet he had grown captive within his mind to the revolt. Something had kept hold of his mind to make him think he wasn't able to escape this vile place. The whole island rejected him at that, and he was defiantly identifiable with his slumped back and spider-like maned wolf genes. That, and he didn't have the guts to run away from the revolt, or Seshafi.
"Leave me alone, creature. This does not concern you."
His thoughts broke off. Alakay had lingered rather close to Idris, as he noticed the small frigid wolf coming back. He squinted and raised his head in interest. He smiled at the sudden vigilance the wolf held toward him. Considering a moment ago, that tail was tucked and booking it out of here as fast as her short legs could take her.
Yet both Idris and Alakay gave a sigh of relief. Even though Alakay had no defying plans for the two, he knew he had to make sure they left the premises. Blinking a few more times, suddenly Idris was turning toward him. Gaining a well defensive stance even with that twisted up leg. Putting her weight back, she was very large and strong compared to little boned Alakay.
"Even on three legs, I'm plenty of use for squishing bugs,"
He snorted with a laugh. Keeping his paws loose from the earth, ready to defend himself. "Aiy, I have no doubts of that Warrior." He gave a creepy smile toward the two. He wasn't much for intimidation, but the creepy factor went pretty high. "And I rather enjoy your compliments Warrior, but honestly... move along." His high pitched excited voice ended harshly as he told them to move along. His gaze strong on their own.
His eyes were a faded dark reddish with a mixture of brown. They grew hard and cold. A peaceful moment filled the air. He rather enjoyed it. Yet he couldn't express much of it, for this was the land of the Order and Revolt. He sighed, a frown among his features. "I'll ask nicely Warrior, do us both a favor and just leave!" He snapped and took a risky choice as he turned his back to walk back toward his lonely den.
