Unless, of course, you want me to leave you alone with her.' "Uh, no thanks, I'm good." Really, I did not want extra time with this bitch. Perhaps a part of me did, but I was smart enough this go-round to know that she was a mistake. Just one huge mistake. Hanging on to that, I knew I'd be okay this time. 'Uh huh Crouse. Well we could stand here flapping our bullshit spouts about things we already know, or I could tell you something you don't know.' I was in the process of thinking up a witty response to her when I realized that she might actually be on to something. I hesitated, keeping a hold on my words as I watched her. Was she bullshiting me? Maybe. Actually, change that into a probably. But what if she really had something worth listening to? Here was the thing: I didn't know. I was distracted by Auburn, though, who actually gave in to my demands. 'You know what? I think you might be right. Twi, go jump in a lake and drown.' Okay, I just couldn't help it; I busted out laughing, staggering for a brief moment as I was, figuratively, rolling with laughter. I had no idea why it struck me so funny, but this was one of those geniune laughs that you rarely get. I'd enjoy it, even if Twilight had suddenly got in Auburn's face. Somehow, I found that even funnier. Instead of jumping in between Auburn and Twilight and shoving that bitch away, I just stood where I was and enjoyed the scene. I wasn't sure why there was the change, but I didn't care. I just didn't care. "Oh, boy, that was a good one," I said, my laughter dying down while the amusement remained. "Way to get chewed out." Once she got done snapping and spitting in Auburn's face, she turned her attention to me. I wasn't afraid of her when it came to physical attacks; nope, I could hold my own. I just stared back at her with a mocking, amused expression. Yeah, I needed that laugh. I suddenly felt like my normal self. 'For once I'm not shitting you. If you'll be willing to listen... if you're not then it's your funeral and not my concern.' Huh. This was an interesting turn. I decided to hear her out just for the hell of it, because hey, it couldn't hurt. I was a little reluctant to sit back, but I did. "Okay. Shoot. Whatchyou got to tell me?" ooc:// I was gonna have him intervene at first. But for some reason it didn't happen that way. Heheh. :P

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,400,true] | [atrb=background,http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk107/puddinxpiexB/400middle.png] I regretted saying what I just said. Sometimes, I just couldn't shut up. Twi flew through the air, a blur, but before she could land on me, I stepped back. Her crismon eyes flashed with anger as she lauched into a mad rant. "Listen you little fuck,I don't give a moose-fart if you're Crouse's brother, if you're gonna be saucy then watch your tongue because when you have it flapping around like that you're likely to lose it." I trembled from holding back my anger, my thoughts in turmoil. REsisting the urge to snap back, I held my ground, my body turning still after the trembiling. So much anger, and nowhere to release it, unless I wanted someone to get hurt. And I didn't want that, couldn't deal with that. I wasn't the type of wolf that could hurt someone and forget; it would eat away at me. "Now let the adults get on with their business." Twi said, a final jab. The stillness that I had gotten was gone, and my eyes were flashing. And then Crouse burst out laughing. Somehow, it made it both better and worse at the same time. One side of me was angry with Crouse, and the other just wanted to hear him laugh. After a while, he quieted down, enough so that I could hear myself think. I sent a glare over my shoulder, a look that was both amused and angry. I didn't bother sending one to Twi. Somehow, I was going to ignore her the rest of time she was hear, even if it killed me.

"Oh, boy, that was a good one... Way to get chewed out."
A little smirk played across the witch's lips, but it was fleetingly quick, filled with the cunning of her Russian forebears. As swiftly as the smile was there, cracking across her white features like a fracture in virgin ice, it was gone. She had chipped away slowly at the little wall Crouse had set up in order to keep her away from him, slowly and deliberately she had done so with sheer stubbornness. For in that way the two were very alike. That doubled with their libidos had drawn them together for a single, steamy encounter, one that would never be duplicated. Not for now at least. Twilight Heaven was well aware of this, but hell, you can't exactly get a tiger to change her stripes and her flirtatious nature, well it was just a second nature by now and it always won out. For she was a demon, driven by a hunger for the pleasures in life. It consumed her soul and made her a very spiteful presence in the least by most of those who came to encounter the white-swept temptress.
Her body had relaxed now, coils of compact but steely muscles which hid deceptively beneath her think coat began to loosen and calm. Fine white hairs settled down from their previous bristle on her back and neck, and Twi then settled her bottom resolutely on the ground. She then settled her entrancingly crimson gaze on the cream-colored he-wolf. Some ground had been made, and though for some evil little reason she would have loved to see the slacker getting his handed to him, the information she had to divulge was concerning the war, the Renegades in particular and a certain bulldog of a she-warrior whom Twilight had recently tangled with in the forest on her way here.
"Okay. Shoot. Whatchyou got to tell me?"
The white witch tilted her head almost innocently to the side, giving her ears a slightly exaggerated hurt cock to them. "Well finally the mighty Crouse wants to listen to little ol' me." Her face then cracked into that trademark Solokov sneer and she snickered. "Eh, just kidding. I'm not one to dance around shit, so here it is. I heard fleetingly from a Warrior bitch I had to throw down with - don't worry I kicked her ass - and have backed up information from a spy, that the Renegades and the Warriors know where your asses are situated by the stream. And they're out for puppies and blood I think."
Her tail whipped back and forth in the snow-scattered black sand that covered the beach and her claws bit deeply yet gently into the easily yielding elements. She was not quite sure, but this could be big shit, it could turn out to be a dud. Those so-called soldiers of goodness and light tended to be tricky. Even more so then some of her Order comrades at times. And some of them would slit their grannie's throats just for a nibble at the glorious teat of her father's growing empire. Her attention rarely diverged away from Crouse but she was taught to keep her wits about her and caught wind of Auburn's equally stubborn and silent resolve as his stood there fuming.
"So I dunno man, maybe you wanna pass the word around?" Twilight shrugged her shoulders a tad nonchalantly. Though the war seemed to get most wolves riled up, it only brought up ideas and opportunities for the moonwashed demoness. She found the chaos quite invigorating really.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,400,true] | [atrb=background,http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk107/puddinxpiexB/CrouseMIDDLE.png] Auburn stayed quiet after that, heeding Twilight's advice to shut his mouth and let us get on with whatever we had to get on with. And for once in my whole life, I did not mean those words in that way. Yes, strange, I know. Most of the time I had all these wild, leery thoughts flying about my mind, and I will admit that I had a few now, but they weren't at the forefront. The world is peculiar. 'Well finally the mighty Crouse wants to listen to little ol' me.' She had tilted her head to the side, her ears angling in a way that suggested she was hurt. I didn't believe her for one second; she didn't keep it up, anyway. I hardly had time to open my mouth to bitch at her before she sneered, so I didn't bother. I didn't want to play games, even if that was extremely hypocritical of me. "Just say what you got," I growled, my eyes flickering to Auburn. He continued to stay quiet, though he had sent a partially amused and angry look my way. My expression didn't change, and my eyes slid back to the white she-wolf in front of me. 'Eh, just kidding. I'm not one to dance around shit, so here it is. I heard fleetingly from a Warrior bitch I had to throw down with - don't worry I kicked her ass - and have backed up information from a spy, that the Renegades and the Warriors know where your asses are situated by the stream. And they're out for puppies and blood I think.' My gaze stayed cool through the first half; I was kind of amused that she'd kicked some Warriors ass, because it reminded me of my encounter with Benji. Which, by the way, I obviously won that battle. So what, I lost that niave little Balorik; she was such a damn nusiance anyway, she was hardly worth it. I'd left Benji quite a few marks to remember me by, and I had no doubt that Twi had done the same to that other Warrior. It was the later half that struck something within me. It was my eyes that first gave sign to this change; they flashed with something that hinted at alarm, and I felt that worried twinge deep in my gut. Fuckers, they knew where they were! I put some pressure onto my front paws, my claws digging into the ground and creating tiny grooves of their own. I knew exactly what they wanted. Those stupid, whiny kids of theirs, the ones I never wanted in the first place but got stuck with. They were of some relation to Seshafi; cousin, niece, nephew, I don't even know, I don't keep track of stupid family trees. I caught word that somehow they were related to Joaquin, too, but I wasn't too interested in tracking the line. Either way: Anakaros knew where we were, and he was probably on his way to get us right now. Fuck. If I had no bonding ties to them, I'd just ditch. Find another place to hang out on this wide island. But if Joaquin didn't know this news, I needed to go back....I had no choice. I didn't care about babysitting those brats anymore; it was Shafi's issue. She needed to deal with all that shit. 'So I dunno man, maybe you wanna pass the word around?' Twi's words jerked me roughly out of my quick thinking, all that plan making. It wasn't lost, though; I'd go back and get Joaquin, and we'd get out. Of course, I never took Alejandro into consideration to any of this--if he was planning to stick by Seshafi and our home at the Crystal Stream, it would be hard to manuveur around him. Especially hard. "Yeah, I'll do that. As soon as I get back, too." I hesitated, knowing that this would be the perfect time to thank her and haul ass, but nah, I wasn't the nice guy. Although, I did want to leave. I knew that she had already detected my worries of this news, because nothing escaped those observant eyes of hers, but I changed the subject. "So you beat her ass, eh? I did the same with another Warrior a bit back; damn pansies. They should just back the hell off already." On top of this news, I was pleased to hear that they were taking injuries. Though I didn't much care for this 'cause', I've never liked the goody goodies. My eyes flashed to Auburn for a short momentt as I wondered what I would do with him now. Hm. This news had thrown me off; I couldn't exactly plan to roam about and do whatever I wanted with Auburn. No, I had a completely different agenda. Oh well, I'd have to figure that one out later.

Intead of ignoring her, I found myself listening to her every word, hers and Crouse's, my auburn flecked ears twitching for every word. "Well finally the mighty Crouse wants to listen to little ol' me. Eh, just kidding. I'm not one to dance around shit, so here it is. I heard fleetingly from a Warrior bitch I had to throw down with - don't worry I kicked her ass - and have backed up information from a spy, that the Renegades and the Warriors know where your asses are situated by the stream. And they're out for puppies and blood I think." The Renegades? Isn't that the pack my mother gave birth in. I paid even more attention now that I picked up on a familar word. So there were at two other packs besides the Order and Crouse's little revolt. And they sounded like allies. It took a few seconds for all this, and I quickly switch my focus to learning more about this, eager and listening more than ever. "Yeah, I'll do that. As soon as I get back, too. So you beat her ass, eh? I did the same with another Warrior a bit back; damn pansies. They should just back the hell off already." Wait, where is Crouse going back to? I wondered for a split second, this decided to ask the question and risk getting treat like a pup. For a split second my eyes shine with blazing fire at the thought of what Twi said, and then it was out, doused by my stubborn will to show no response to her any more. " Well, where ever you're going, you'll have to take me along with you. Besides, you could always use another wolf, " I said, wanting to know more about this slightly confusing island. " But just where will you be going? " I stood there, swishing my tail ever so slightly, excited at the thought of an adventure. I didn't pay any attention what so ever to Twi, not even a glance, although it was hard to ignore any wolf that was close enough for to talk to.

As Crouse began to mull worriedly over these sudden knew turns of event, that fretting look entered his eyes. Twilight almost wanted to roll her eyes and snap out some sort of snarky comment, poke a jab, but this time maybe it was just - in the slightest of way - inappropriate. These were matters of war, and for as much as Twi hated the levity that came with the event, just how fucking seriously everybody took themselves. To them the world was simply ending and everything was falling into ruin, but there were those like herself which thrived in the chaos and lived in between the lines of society that existed. They dodged in and out, powered by the unbridled excitement.
This endeavor against the wolves of the Revolt would result in the Order by word having to step in and intervene. The Crystal Stream was a sub-territory, a vital artery to most of the lands, and by rights of claim, what was under the rule of the Revolt, The Order surely had a rather unfortunate interest in. It was the uncomfortable side effects of having allies, as usefull or.. useless as they could be.
Business aside, the two collapsed back into an uneasy treaty, the cream colored wolf just tolerating the wiley demoness who was slowly but surely beginning to lose her intent interest in the situation. Her tail was starting to flick from side to side in a surprisingly feline manner. Crouse let loose a tiny cackle before he commented on her recent tango with that Idris verch Rhonwen and Twilight merely tipped her muzzle in a rather quick nod. Auburn was going quite steadily ignored by the temptress. With no sexual tension there's no line of interest for her to play on. No he was just an inexperienced pup when it came to those ways of finer pleasure.
"So you beat her ass, eh? I did the same with another Warrior a bit back; damn pansies. They should just back the hell off already."
Twilight Heaven snorted with laughter, and her winter white coat gave a hearty shimmer. "Aye, she was a tough number, some sort of butch and a half. We cut it short, and she said some half-assed speech about meeting in honor on the battle field. Chicken shit!" Twi spat these last words out as if they tasted most foul, leaving a bitterness on her tongue. Moments later she twisted her head around, revealing the underside of her jaw to the curious male. A flurry of barely healed wounds savaged the underside of her jaw, clearly made by the determined fangs of a wolfen opponent, her lips were still clearly purpling and swollen, none-too-gently flayed. Despite the pain that had come with it, she now learned that there was an oddly dear connection between a soldier and their wounds. She found herself proud and not surprised.
"You should see what she looks like though. Ha! Captain of the Warrior Realm my ass."
That being said, the mutual respect still remained. In her mind she would r doubt it. But in font of Crouse and his obnoxious brother she was not about to let such trivial things slip. Speaking of mr. Auburn, he chose just that moment to interject like the clumsy fool he was. " Well, where ever you're going, you'll have to take me along with you. Besides, you could always use another wolf. But just where will you be going? "
Twilight's intensely cunning gaze fixed Crouse with a despairing gaze. "Impatient this one, aint he?"

It was wonderous how things had slowly shifted in this long stretch of time, going from a sort of tension that could be sliced with a knife to something decently comfortable. It was hard to wrap my mind around it, and even as I registered this change, there was nothing I could do to put me back in that defensive mode. As long as we remained in this attitude where we were nothing more than wolves bounded in an alliance, I would be alright. If we returned to that strange, post-lover stage again, I might just go crazy.
She laughed at my own, vague account of the matter regarding the Warriors, her teeth flashing in a toothy grin. Not only did her teeth flash, but her fur did as well as her ribs shook slightly. The white strands were catching the sunlight and reflecting harshly; although if I allowed myself to slip back into my lusty thoughts, that shimmering fur would have done nothing but turn me on. I wondered what she’d look like in the full-out summer sun for a second, and then wretched myself away from such thoughts.
‘Aye, she was a tough number, some sort of butch and a half. We cut it short, and she said some half-assed speech about meeting in honor on the battle field. Chicken shit!’
I snorted at that, my eyes flicking up as I smirked at the nauseating character of those damned Warriors. Meeting in honor? Like honor meant a damn thing these days. Worrying over silly things like that will be the very thing that seperates a victory from a loss, a loss that could result in death. So, yeah, fuck honor. As I shoved away the thought of holding ‘an honorable battle’ or whatever the hel l that meant, my eyes lit onto the underside of her chin that she had twisted to show me. They were obviously war wounds; those Warriors did no light damage, as pansy-like as they might appear. That would heal up, but there’d be a scar, no doubt. There was a pride to the way she presented her wound, and she was rightful to feel proud. “Nice,” I commented with a geniune attitude.
‘You should see what she looks like though. Ha! Captain of the Warrior Realm my ass.’
I snorted again, my smirk twisting at my mouth further. “I’d like to bet your tore her up.” And I’d probably win that bet, too. Twilight Heaven was more than ferocious when she decided to show you her true nature, and I had enough mind to realize that I’d never seen the full force of that side of her personality. If I ever did see it, though, I could only hope that it would not be directed toward me. The scene shifted, though, the attention breaking up and shining a portion of it on my brother, who had slipped into a quiet spell. Both Twilight Heaven and I had been steadily ignoring him, and we’d made absolutely no effort to include him in our conversation. Now, though, he’d spoken and his words had proved that he probably had no idea what was going on. At all.
‘Well, where ever you're going, you'll have to take me along with you. Besides, you could always use another wolf. But just where will you be going?’
He resolutely fixed his eyes on me, not daring to let them slip toward that white demoness standing mere feet away. Twi and I exchanged a look, and they seemed similar. ‘Impatient this one, ain’t he?’ I simply shrugged in response to this, and the shrug combined with my look pretty much said, “yeah, well, he may be my brother, but I sure as hell didn’t choose him.” Turning back to Auburn, I reluctantly decided I had to tackle the issue of what I was going to do with him.
“Whoever said I had to take you along with me?” I hated assumptions, but to be honest, I wasn’t sure what another option would be. He’d just return to those damned Renegade wolves, turning traitor if I pushed him away. But I had a mission to get my woman and get out, and perhaps warn Alej and Ineluki along the way, if I could manage it. “It’s not like I married you.” But the uncertainty flashed over my features as I hesitated, turning the possibilities over in my my mind.
“I’m going back to our headquarters,” Was my proper answer, and still evasive in case he turned traitor. Then again, it wouldn’t matter. They already knew where we’d been hiding out, so it wouldn’t matter if he knew or not. Still, it was hard to give the secrets away, regardless of the new circumstances. “War’s close at hand. I don’t think you’d want to tag along anyway.” Would he be of much use? I couldn’t deny that I would need the help if I was facing an invasion, but I was concerned that he’d do nothing but get in the way. I waited for his response, though, before making any rash decisions.
