It snuck up on me and pounced as soon as I met Crouse, my long-lost brother. I figured out some things, mostly about myself, but also about this island. There was a pack here, called the Order of the Black Stag. I was very tempted to join it. From what I learned, they were allies with the Revolt, of which Crouse was in. Late last night, I snuck away from my mother, Ember. She was very protective and hasn't let me out of her sight since I was born. Except that one time, when I met Crouse. And then I ran, far far away from her, my paws racing across the land, looking for the place that the Order lived. But I still wasn't ready. And so now, here I was, looking over to the east. The winter air tore at any warmth my pelt would've had, so I crept into a little cave, my body shaking in the cold. And still looking over there. Was I ready to join a pack of vicous wolves? No, I wasn't. But I would for Crouse, if only to help him. I shivered in silence, alone with my thoughts.

The mountains have the best plants and fruits. The dark brown female told herself as she crossed the borders from the Order to the Moonlit Territory, which was absolutely beautiful and lucky for Rokai it was so close to her home pack's land that it made it easier for her to transport the herbs back to the camp and save her long trips back and forth. "Wow. This is a amazing view." Rokai said to herself quietly. She closed her eyes and pictured what this mountains would look like during a sunset or even under the moonlight. It must be quite a view to be named Moonlit Mountains. The Medical Officer quickly picked up her pace as she climbed toward the higher elevation of the mountain. She was glad it was another beautiful day out and it wasn't likely to snow, because that would make things alot harder for herself.

Suddenly Rokai froze in her tracks. Another wolf was nearby. Great, just what I need. Some asshole to bother me and slow down on what I'm doing. Without anymore hesitation, she approached the cave from where the wolf scent was coming from. She looked inside, it was dark but she could make out a wolf shape. "Hey you! What are you doing around here?" Rokai asked the male wolf in a stern, but gentle voice. She prepared herself for an attack Of course, she wasn't going to attack him unless he tried to attack her.

A wolf was here, a female by the sound of her voice. She sounded stern and gentle at the same time. What was she doing here? I frowned. Why would a female be out in the mountains at this time of the year, when it was cold and you could starve? I looked at her, her fur darkened by her shadow and the glare of the sun. She was pretty, that much was clear. And young, but not too much. A young female wolf, wandering by herself. That was wrong. Who knows what would happen? " What am I doing here? What are you doing here? " I said, answering her question with another question. I was hoping that would frustrate her, make her go away. Right now I wanted to be alone with my thoughts. I stood up, my lean body, perfect for running, tensed. My amber eyes flickered between her and the wide open world beyound her. She was blocking my only escape. I slowly made my way to her, my head and tail held high. Hopefully that would tell her not to mess with me, that I didn't want my peace broken. and my thoughts unchained.

What is with this guy. Rokai growled as the strange wolf who was walking toward her with his head and tail raised like he was an Alpha, but Rokai sensed that he was only doing it for show or to scare her into leaving, but she wasn't until she got what she came here for which was to find plants and fruits to make herbs for Josie for healing medicine.

"How dare you. You don't know me or anything about me. I'm a Medical Officer of the Order and I don't have to answer you. You are not my leader or packmate." Her dark brown fur started to rise in annoyance as she positioned herself away for him as a precaution and she glared at him with her dark green eyes. She was letting this unknown rouge male that he couldn't just push her around and she was being very serious about it. Rokai kinda wished she would have brought a soldier with her just in case something was to happen to her, she hoped the male wouldn't attack her, but all males were unpredictable especially rouge males and she was a young female, alone without her pack or someone as a witness. She quickly shot a glace toward the direction of the Orders territory. She probably wouldn't make it, but it would be worth a long shot.[/size][/color][/blockquote][/td][/tr][tr][td][/td][/tr][/table]

Just the way I liked it, until they attack me. I shuddered, remembering Twi. I made one smart remark, and she got all in my face. Wait a sec. Did she say she was part of the order? My molten amber eyes widened. That means....hmm, I wonder if she knew my brother? That would be intresting, to say the least. She was glaring at me with deep green eyes. Hey, weren't those the color of Norther's? I remembered her sweet green eyes, I used to daydream about them. But this wolf's eyes were specail. I shook my head to clear those thoughts and took a step forward. " Hmm, you wouldn't know a wolf named Crouse, would ya? I heard the Order is allies with his little revolt, " I grinned, my voice oddly calm. I swished my tail, showing her that I wasn't a danger. I wouldn't hurt her. For a split second, her eyes showed fear. Probalty thinking about the danger. I swished my tail again and smiled. There wasn't any need for her to get all panicky on me. She flicked a glance towards the east. " Don't worry, I wouldn't harm a fly, " I said. I wouldn't attack a wolf unless they attacked first.

The way that this male wolf was looking at her at first made Rokai feel very uncomfortable. It was like he was looking at her, yet also someone else. Rokai shifted her gaze to look at the ground to get away from his stare.

A few seconds later the grey male started to ask her a question about another wolf. "Hmm, you wouldn't know a wold named Crouse, would ya? I heard the Order is allies with his little Revolt." Rokai signaled a no with her head. She was starting to calm down a bit, but she still was alert. "No, sorry. I've never heard of him, but then again I haven't met any wolves from the Revolt." She told him honestly. He started to wag his tail as a friendly gesture toward her. Maybe, he isn't going to attack me. She thought looking up at his amber gaze. He had very beautiful eyes, they were the color of cool, golden honey and looked into her soul with kindness. She could feel her fear slowly melt away. She was starting to believe that what he said was true, because he then smiled at her. "Don't worry, I wouldn't harm a fly." Her hunter green eyes softened and she managed a small, friendly smile. "What is your name?" Rokai asked in a sweet, calm voice. "I'm Rokai." [/size][/color][/blockquote][/td][/tr][tr][td][/td][/tr][/table]

Oh. Well, alright. I would just have to deal with it. I had hoped to know what he was like when he wasn't around me, but I guess that wasn't happening. I kept my eyes on her bright green eyes. I saw the distrust melt away at my words and actions and loved the fact that we could now talk openly with each other, now that she trusted me. . "What is your name? I'm Rokai." Her voice changed along with her mood. It was now sweet and calming, smooth. I nodded, taking another step closer to her, slowly. I didn't want to frighten her. So, her name was Rokai? It's a nice name for sure. " My name's Auburn. Nice to meet you....Rokai, " I said slowly and evenly, politely. I stopped staring into her eyes and dropped mine down to my feet. It was a sign of trust, not watching her every move. I shifted to a sitting postion, my feet longing for rest. I sighed. So much has happened since my mother and I came to this island. For now, I wanted to sleep, rest up for whatever happened next. I made up my mind. Tonight I would sleep in this cave, safe from the icy winds that would tear through my thick fur. And the next day....who knows? I slowly, lazily let my eyelids drift closed, then opened them rwally quickly. hopefully, that would give her the hint that I was tired. I was, really, even if it was only a little bit.

Rokai sat down now that she was fully relaxed. It was very rare to find a male who was kind and generous as the way Auburn was in front of her. She was suprised she found herself blush when he moved closer to her. She was pretty, but males rarely paid her much attention. She liked attention, but she didn't gloat like other she-wolves. Rokai was the polar opposite of that, she was quite shy, but very caring once you got to know her better.

"My name is Auburn. Nice to meet you...Rokai."

He said her name in a slow, but polite manner, like he wanted to last longer than it really was. She smiled as she caught him looking into her dark green eyes. She let out a small giggle when he realized she had caught himself staring at her. His gaze immediately lowered to look at his paws. Auburn was very different that the males in her pack. Plus, he had stayed and was willing to talk with her, because if he wasn't looking to make a friend he would have just continued on his way and she hers. Rokai noted that Auburn was relaxed when he also sat down. She spotted him trying to stay awake, but was failing to do so. He eyes soften in awe at him.

"It looks like you had a hard day, so I'll go." Rokai got to her paws to leave, but she looked back at Auburn. "Would you like me to stay until you fall asleep?" She didn't mind it, maybe she'd even hum him to sleep like her mother did for her.

" Please, don't go, " I said, my voice pleading. I looked at her green eyes, my molten amber eyes soft. "Would you like me to stay until you fall asleep? I shook my head yes, keep my gaze on her as I yawned a little. I layed down on the cold stone floor, my eyes drifting lazily closed. The wind outside would not affect me here, at least. The cold floor might. I'll wake up stiff in the morning, but that's better than waking up frozen, right? I hoped Rokai will be there in the morning, but she likely won't be. I held back a sigh at that thought. She's the only wolf I've met so far that has been really nice to me. I opened my eyes just a little bit, just to see if she was there. She was, her beautiful green eyes watching me. I smiled a bit, happy. She was a lot better than all the other wolves I've met have been. But, then again, I've only met a few. Crouse, Twi, and Norther. Oh, and of course my mother, Ember. And now, Rokai, with her bueatiful green eyes.

"Please, don't go." Auburn had asked Rokai in pleading voice. She noticed him gazing at her with his molten amber eyes. When their eyes met, she saw his eyes soften. Rokai smiled at him, turning and coming back into the cave. "I'll stay then." She said, settling down as she watched him yawn from being tired. He closed his eyes and seemed to be starting to fall asleep. "Sweet dreams, Auburn." She whispered in a soothing voice.

She really did like Auburn, because he was so friendly and had a small sense of humor. It was a nice change from her pack mates in the Order, not all of them were mean or had anger issues, but it would be nice to have fresh new blood in the pack. Plus, another Allie wouldn't hurt for the Order always welcomed new wolves who were pure and loyal to the rules. Auburn seemed like he would fit well as a Order wolf, because he was strong and seemed to have a good head on his shoulders. He would probably make a wonderful soldier... Rokai though as she looked at the sleeping wolf. She reminded herself to ask him tomorrow if that was why he was so close to the Order's border, because he wished to join.

Rokai laid down and rested her head on her paws. My pack will be fine without me for one night..." She said very softly to herself; She closed her hunter green eyes, letting sleep take over her tired body. [/size][/color][/blockquote][/td][/tr][tr][td][/td][/tr][/table]
