I am looking for a good book. I prefer fiction more than anything else. Something with a good story line and a plot that hooks you in. I am more in the mood for supernatural creatures/humans right now.
Here is a list of a few of the books I reread almost constantly, so you can get an idea of what I'm looking for.
Lord of the Rings Harry Potter Tamora Pierce books Cassandra Clare books V.C Andrews books The Zombie Survival Guide Eragon series Sword of Truth series
Please, I would love any suggestions people have for books. Or even good fanfictions (I know how sad am I). I have nothing to put on my Kindle and nothing to read (which seems to be all I do when I'm not working anymore) and I am desperate. Please!

Well I enjoyed the Percy Jackson series, but they're a little immature, sort of xD

I totally meant to post here a few days ago, but I'd find myself milling about Dare, forgetting why I was still on, and then remembering the second I cut the computer off...Ahaha....But anyway! One of my most favorite books is The Host by Stephanie Meyer. I know, I know, same author as Twilight, but her style in this book seems to be completely different, and the message of it seems different, too. I've read it about seven times or so, and I never get tired of it. Check it out, maybe? And I loved the Sookie Stackhouse series, which is also known as Trueblood from HBO. There's about ten books there and another comes out in May, so there's a lot of storyline to read. ^^ I'll try to think of more 'cause it sucks not to have anything awesome to read. :P

I will check out Percy Jackson for sure, been wanting to read them for a while now. I might grab the Artemis Fowl books too because I never finished them.
Sunny I'm asking you about The Host in the cbox right now. But! How close are the Trueblood books to the series? I haven't watched any of them yet, but they are on the list.

I'm actually not sure how well the books follow the shows; I was going to get the first season for Christmas until my Mom realized how much sex was in it, then she was like, um, no. xD The first few episodes I saw followed it pretty decently, even though I pointed out every difference I saw because that's just how I am, but I can't judge off of that. Oh, and I agree that the Percy Jackson series is good. Immature in a way, yes, but it'll get you hooked on Greek Gods and Goddesses in an instant...And it teaches you quite a bit about their myths. ^^ Also, I've recently had the Black Jewels Trilogy recommended to me, and I'll get the books sometime this week from the same person who lent me the Sookie Stackhouse series, so maybe that will turn into something good. She said it has something to do with Satan, and was kind of wierd at first, but good. Not sure yet, but I'll let you know.

Actually have read them.
Didn't put them on the list though, though I've read them, I'm not a huge fan of poems.

* = Highly Recommend
Zum...I don't know if you like comic books, but Watchmen, *The Walking Dead, and the Umbrella Academy are worth reading. If you like the whole zombie thing I recommend trying out the Walking Dead.
Novels: -Catcher in the Rye -1894 -*World War Z <-- That one is about a zombie apocalypse. The way it is written is great. - Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (Good satire) - 2001: A Space Odyssey

So far, the Black Jewels Trilogy is really really good. It's freaky, and I haven't even got through half of the first book, but it sucks you in at once. It's got some sexy men in it and a whole world ready to be discovered....It's definitely a fantasy type. The first three are: Daughter of the Blood Heir to the Shadows Queen of the Darkness All by Anne Bishop. And there's actually a lot more after that. But I don't know the names of them. Anyhow, it's definitely something that will grab your interest and keep you hooked for a while, because there's a lot of pages. (:
