Sure, tracking is part of my skills, something I'm very good at and it comes in handy in my line of work, but I'm no tracker and you would do well to remember that. My name is Mirei and I'm an assassin and spy, this is what I'm trained to do, its what I specialize in and I'm damn good at it." Mirei...... He smirked an awful smirk. He knew enough pestering would make her fold underneath her cool exterior. Making his expression blank again, Malkahl studied her more intently. He noticed her stern expression, knowing he had snapped a nerve. "Well now that we're better acquainted," he said with a smirk, "I dont have to be annoying now." He smirked once more, bringing his expression back to stark boredom. It didnt affect him at all, her anger. Although he did feel a tad guilty. "You're an assassin huh? A spy?" Malkahl grew more humble in his speech, not out of fear, but out of respect, "Huh..usually you never see many Hassassins anymore. I'm glad that I can finaly put that to bed." Malkahls voice grew darker still, now training his eyes dead center into her dark pupils. He felt his hairs lay down, but he never took his orbs off of hers. This was more interesting than anything he's come across. Another hassassin...and here was me thinking that we'd die. "You know...most have thought us to be dead. I should have known when you came off with a taut attitude of an assassin...But seeing as I thought I was the last, I guess my perceptive ability needs to be polished a little more, huh?" He tilted his head at her, wanting to know more, but he didnt press too hard. He knew assassins were a variety of arrogance. He smirked once more, now remembering her words before the confession. "I'm talking to you because you interest me. You're not a threat, lets get that straight. And as for being an asset...that's to be determined later..if you're willing and cool headed enough to not try anything." He stared into her blue orbs, emiting his emerald ones with the same intensity. He tilted his head slowly. So this is why I'm here... And so...It begins.

She flicked her tail in dismissal, turning away from him and speaking without even looking back. "Your an arrogant fool and not worth my time, I suggest you stay out of my way from now on." Her steps were slow, daring him to stop her, to pester her further. She was taking her time now, she wasn't in a rush to get anywhere anyways, you could almost say she was teasing him.
"You know...most have thought us to be dead. She ignored his words, not caring anymore, she was sick of him judging her, comparing them. She was nothing like him, the land she came from was far from here, her entire pack was trained to be assassins and spies, espionage agents lent out to other packs in return for some form of payment. She didn't know what he was talking about him being the last one, there were plenty of them out there, they just knew how to hide, to keep their presence secret to the world, unlike him. Slowly she was disappearing into the forest around the path, blending into the shadows once more. She wondered dimly in the back of her mind if he would follow.
ooc-Sorry this one is short, I didn't really know what to say. He can follow after if you want, it might prove to be interesting.

"Ever wonder why I didn't say "assassin" instead of "Hassassin"?" he called to her.
It was no use, she was still walking, a tad bit slow for someone who seemed to be a tad pissed.
"Where do you hail from? Because I'm the last of my breed. . . Unless you've been trained to do this from a survivor of my breed." he continued, hoping to reach out to her. "Listen to me!"
He trotted after her, just keeping his distance enough to where she might lash at him in case he broke the border between pissed and full out anger. His voice grew tired. He stopped walking after her.
"Fine then...go be mediocre. Enjoy a pitiful existence from whence you know not. But if you dare call yourself a Hassassin, then you should follow through!" he said, fuming, "Your skills mean nothing lest you learn where they came from! They are nothing, so prove everything to your pitiful pack as much as you can, because this war isn't over, and soon enough I WILL be the last!"
He found his words to carry a low growl with them, edging upon testing her skills. Turning now, he thought for a second in his tracks. Quickly, he rushed to her front, stopping her from passing any further.
"If you want to get rid of me, fine, but at least be knowledgeable of your skill set you've learned. I bet you're not even of breed to learn such talents." He was in her face now, gnashing his teeth, obviously enraged, " 'Assassin'," he scoffed, "your kind is nothing of the sort. You'd be wiped out lest my clan wasn't betrayed. Hassassins were the core! The very spears that started your excuse of a clan. You're the best there is, huh? At what? You've shown me nothing but parlor tricks, child, and I've written the very book from whence your teacher taught you." his words spat a particular venom, a grudge against nothing almost.
"You must not know about deception, 'Assassin', otherwise you'd have carried that title with more dignity. What do you have to prove? Our clan fought for everyone, not ourselves, not until the very middle of war!" he scoffed once more, " 'Assassin'....you know nothing of the word, otherwise my preconceived notions wouldn't have phased you. That fiasco with the silver wolf? This encounter here? Hassassins live the lie until they believe it so, and countless lies I've lived to where, I could have easily sent you away eons ago. I chose to keep you around, because you have something, and you're almost as arrogant to miss it." his voice went to a low growling whisper, "you have the potential to become great...and you'll never die before it's shown to those that matter...isnt it, Mirei?"
His eyes bore into hers with a sense of urgency, and he felt his breath slow now. He had been huffing this entire time.
"You'll never know me, because I made it so. My mannerisms cannot be pinpointed, and as an Assassin, you should know, that not everything is what it seems. There is no truth." he finished. He stepped aside, with this last notion of information, and began to walk the opposite direction, slowly. He slightly looked back to see her reaction. Two things were certain, either he had gotten through to her, or she was about to unleash fury upon him. In any case, he was ready.

Where do you hail from? Because I'm the last of my breed. . . Unless you've been trained to do this from a survivor of my breed.Listen to me!"
Mirei tuned him out as best she could though his words still reached her. Yes she was vaguely curious about what he was talking about but not enough to want to deal with more pestering and know-it-all-like comments. She just wanted to go someplace quiet and cool down, normally she was more level-headed but she had grown restless lately, always having to be on the move, in search of that one pack that would take her in, that one place she could call home. She had shunned all other forms of life, barely stopping long enough to rest and hunt before continuing on.
"Fine then...go be mediocre. Enjoy a pitiful existence from whence you know not. But if you dare call yourself a Hassassin, then you should follow through! Your skills mean nothing lest you learn where they came from! They are nothing, so prove everything to your pitiful pack as much as you can, because this war isn't over, and soon enough I WILL be the last!"
Her breath came quicker and she pushed ahead slight, gaining a bit more distance between her and Malkahl, she just wanted to move on and she wasn't really looking for a fight. Though it almost seemed his was intent on it, throwing insults at her now in frustration. She really wasn't sure what he wanted to accomplish by talking to her but the more he said the more curious she became and she cursed this. Sometimes she really hated her curious nature, a part of her that no matter how hard she tried to bury it always resurfaced at just the wrong moments, now being such an instance.
If you want to get rid of me, fine, but at least be knowledgeable of your skill set you've learned. I bet you're not even of breed to learn such talents. 'Assassin', your kind is nothing of the sort. You'd be wiped out lest my clan wasn't betrayed. Hassassins were the core! The very spears that started your excuse of a clan. You're the best there is, huh? At what? You've shown me nothing but parlor tricks, child, and I've written the very book from whence your teacher taught you."
She had stopped in her tracks as he threw himself in her face, anger breaking through his mask. She herself maintained a cold exterior, not showing any interest in his words. It seemed she had found a button to push, he really didn't like her disinterest for whatever reason, and the more she ignored him the more he tried to get her to listen. As a much as she hid it his words were making her more interested. Though his insults were making her angry, he really shouldn't talk so much without knowing more about her, but then again she hadn't really told him anything about her either. In her mind she weighed the consequences of her telling him more, one, she could gain an ally, someone that may come in handy, and to be honest it wouldn't be that bad to know one wolf around here. Two, he became a dangerous enemy, one that could compromise her position here, give everything away to whichever packs he wanted to. Three, she didn't tell him anything, continued on, and remained curious, something that would turn from just an itch in the back of her mind to a raging drive to learn more.
"You must not know about deception, 'Assassin', otherwise you'd have carried that title with more dignity. What do you have to prove? Our clan fought for everyone, not ourselves, not until the very middle of war! 'Assassin'....you know nothing of the word, otherwise my preconceived notions wouldn't have phased you. You'll never know me, because I made it so. My mannerisms cannot be pinpointed, and as an Assassin, you should know, that not everything is what it seems. There is no truth."
Again more assumptions, none really striking through to the truth, mere annoyances, still she didn't like them one bit. Finally he stood down, turning away from her to continue on his way. She took one step forward, then another, before freezing, turning around, her steps silent though quick against the ground. She cut him off, her body turned side ways in font of him, eyes glued to him, watching every muscle should he decided to attack.
"Fine, you wish to talk, we'll talk. On one condition, you tell no creature living or dead about me and return the courtesy. Do we have a deal?" She really couldn't believe what she was doing right now, risking everything on this, but she knew she needed to know, some part deep inside of her had to know. It would drive her crazy if she didn't.

He did not waver, but stared intently into her eyes. Together, they'd form the clan again, ridding the war swiftly and quietly, or at least that was the madman's dream.
"Hassassin, the word evolved, and so did it's practice. The skills you've learned, a year old apprentice would have learned when he was of age, not to offend your teachings at all." Malkahl started, "As time went on, there was a guild of Hassassins, hired to rid opposing packs of their most detrimental members, in order to cripple an already demolished wreck of a clan. While they broke each other down, we built, amassing the most trained and skilled hassassins we could."
Malkahl started to walk slowly, making his steps silent to the world around him. He stared straight ahead as he spoke, "Right around this war, hassassins began dying out. Being exploited and hired, and then ousted by their clients to the enemy. Our leader took notice, and began creating our guild. In the end, however, most of us were found and torn asunder." Malkahl seemed to shudder slightly, "There were offspring, yes, but most, if not all of them, were sold or abandoned. There was interbreeding, forced or otherwise, and the hassassin blood line was soon to be thinned significantly. Only few hold the blood of the Hassasins, while most hold a natural wolf's blood. Your skills, aren't that of a true hassassin, or as the language prefers now a days, 'Assassin'." Malkahl stopped and turned to her, slowly bending in a position of attack. Instead, he shook violently, and let the dust fall off his grey fur. The scents of his past trials blew away into the underbrush, and mixed in with the night time air. A stillness set over him, as the moonlight shined atop his pelt, revealing his green tips.
"I am a blood hassassin. One of the last I know..." He stopped, looking into her face more intently.
"Now, feel like returning the courtesy? Or do you need more to stockpile for a rainy day?"

Her body remained relaxed yet she remained standing and would do so until he himself sat or laid down or whatever he chose to do. His story was interesting and eerily familiar. "Sounds kind of like the pack I grew up in, well sort of grew up in, though it was very far from this land. My parents wandered all over and so when I was born I slowed them down. They dropped me off at the border of some pack when I was six months old, though I didn't look it, I was tinier then I am now. For whatever reason when they found they me they didn't kill me, instead I was trained in their ways, though I had a lot of catching up to do."
She paused for a moment, taking in his reactions before continuing. "You say I have the skills your year old apprentices would have, well, I'm only a year and a half old, six months of that time was spent trying to keep up with my parents, I've had to learn quick. Every second of my life I've had to fight to show that I deserved to exist and even so my right to exist is still questioned time and time again. And though it all came naturally to me I still had to work hard to make up for lost time. In the end I surpassed many that I grew up with, even some older then me. I left that pack though after being betrayed by one I thought I could trust, most of them hated me anyways, they didn't like having an outside in the pack. Whatever else I know I've taught myself."
Her eyes turned hard and her voice grew cold, though a bit of pride crept into it. "And though I may not share your blood, I'm still worthy of calling myself Assassin and nothing you say will change that fact."

Malkahl focused his eyes upon hers as she spoke. He seemed to be in another place, thinking of how to put what he was going to say next into the proper words.
"And though I may not share your blood, I'm still worthy of calling myself Assassin and nothing you say will change that fact."
He smiled at this. She was right, she did have the merit to be called an Assassin. She had all the right to begin with.
"I was a younger wolf then, but I had seen my fellow brethren auctioned off or killed. It was only recently when I've seen wolves like you being abandoned at the borders." he trained his eyes onto hers, "I know the trials you've been through, your skill shows them. Traces of the Hassassin blood line aren't even kept up to date any longer, but I don't doubt that you're an offspring." He stepped closer.
Training his eyes onto hers, he motioned towards her pelt.
"There's really no wonder involved, to where you naturally stick to darkness, to the shadows. Their your home. Familiarity shouldn't exist only thus so, for what will you do when the moon turns bright? All this dark lush green around, will be illuminated by the sun. I have no doubts, that you are an Assassin, and as a Hassassin, I should have tested you." His voice grew stern, yet still soft, "But that's not the case. I believe you. But tell me, what is your job, now? Who has sent you where, and why are you where you are? Surely, as an Assassin, you've completed your job and have the eyes to prove it?"
Malkahl studied her once more.
"Hassassins, after their kills, take the eye of their victim, otherwise, your leaders wouldn't know whether you were successful or not," He scratched her gently, "Anyone can get battle scars, from anything, but whether you have your souvenir is the key to a successful mission." He motioned to the tree he was sleeping in, wary to show her what he had with him.
"Unless...you do things differently, these days" He said.
Malkahl's grin turned grimly dark as he smiled.
There's only one way, and that's with the souvenir.

She listened carefully to his words, back and forth back and forth, it seemed he couldn't make up his mind. One minute telling her that she wasn't the right breed then next saying she was of the bloodline. And the way he kept edging closer, touching her pelt, the urge to snap at him was overwhelming, she wanted more distance between them, zero contact, that was all she knew and his closeness was doing nothing to make her feel sure of anything.
"Light isn't a problem, I can blend in just as well, go unseen when it is fully light out even if I'm in the open. Sometimes being small has its advantages, its easier to go around without being noticed, wolves that are monstrous in size stick out. Sure they may be wanted more in packs for their strength but they can't do anything in secret."
She growled quietly as he touched her again but refused to move even in the slightest, it was a warning she knew he would hear, but whether he paid it heed or not was the true question. "My purpose here? To find a new pack. No wolf commands me now, I do what I wish, I wander. I wasn't sent here, I escaped. As for souvenirs, I don't have any currently, yes we brought them back to prove we had carried out our mission but we ourselves never kept them once given to our Alpha. And since coming here I haven't killed anyone and with no wolf commanding me to do so even if I had killed I wouldn't need to prove that kill to anyone."
She wondered just what this wolf before her wanted, she doubted her own education was all that important to him. And as much as she hated to admit it he seemed to be just as skilled as herself, they were both trying to pick apart the puzzle the other posed, trying to figure out the other before they succeeded in doing so to them. It was a race and one whose outcome was unclear.
