The pale fae realized with a start that she and her former adversary were more alike than she had realized. Did that make her like Memphis more? Well...maybe just a little bit. It seemed they both had issues that they had to work through as well. Vivian couldn't help but feel slightly bad for Memphis at the knowledge that she couldn't have other pups. Vivian's pup had been forced on her but the pale fae secretly hoped to have another someday with a male of her choosing. Yet with things going as they had been, the chances of finding a male that could handle her were slim to none. Something maternal reared its ugly head inside of Vivian and she sighed before sitting down in a clear position that said she was standing down. "If you cannot have any pups of your own, there's always adopting more like you did Arden. Or you could, of course, find a friend you and your mate trust and ask her to help you get pups. It was something done in my old pack with our Alphess couldn't have pups." She shrugged. "It's up to the two of you though. Though I will say it isn't a show of weakness to admit to those you trust that you have problems." Her words and posture meant she was leaving the door open to a truce between she and Memphis and perhaps even a tentative friendship. Word Count: 259 | |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,405,true] | [atrb=background,http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn15/stephers1995/Memphis---MIDDLE.png] The cold winds blew against Memphis' silky red pelt. The moonshine seemed to start shining brightly around them. The clouds that were setting up a deep storm soon were swept away. With that last act of fury by the storm, a crash of thunder in the distance. The wind ended short, leaving a drafty more comfortable atmosphere for Memphis' other thin structures. The sound of Vivian beginning to sit down caused Memphis to lift her head. Her posture, her eyes everything slightly softened. "If you cannot have any pups of your own, there's always adopting more like you did Arden. Or you could, of course, find a friend you and your mate trust and ask her to help you get pups. It was something done in my old pack with our Alphess couldn't have pups. It's up to the two of you though. Though I will say it isn't a show of weakness to admit to those you trust that you have problems." Those last words is what Memphis was trying. Trying to not show weakness, yet admit such a fear and weakness statement itself. Being barren had often cursed Memphis in her younger years. Yet now, living with Kirill, her mate with her beautiful strong son, she wasn't barren at all. It was true though, those tempting idea's but it was for the future. For now the war peaked and something right here was greater than that. Vivian was... showing her respects. No longer rivals? Memphis felt her legs get weak. She had never admitted so much, or tried so hard. Kirill came naturally, he was made for her. They were made for each other, yet Vivian was the wolf Memphis had just realized, that deep in her heart wanted to recall any foul memories. "Thank you Vivian." Was all she could mutter into the night's silence. Letting her own height come to the ground. "Tell me Vivian, other than Tse. Have you ever experienced friendship?" What a sensitive subject it seemed. Memphis thought hard and deep. Kirill, Arden and Kayne are so different, their family. Their her life, but a friend had Memphis had a true one? Had Vivian? It was in Memphis' more conscious mind, rather cheesy subject but it was something necessary to her. Nothing would stop Memphis from her reckless and demoness ways as alphess of Lucifer's and wolf of Vory V Zakone, but we all had our morals, didn't we? ooc; What a strange post for memphis, haha c:

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,451,true] | [atrb=background,http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac192/fireb4ashes/Vivian-MoonClouds---MIDDLE.png] Friendship? Memphis would ask her about friendship? What a strange concept that was for the pale fae. She'd only worried about herself and Tse for so long that doing anything else seemed strange. Sure there were a few wolves along the way that she'd attempted to befriend but none of those really stuck around for the trying to really stick. If any were to ask her if she had friends, Vivian would always say she didn't really need them as her only purpose had been to protect her darling son. Now Tse was mostly fully grown and out on his own in the world and Vivian had nothing and no one to keep her. These packlands were hers, regaurdless of who was called Alpha and she'd never abandon them. Yet it had become so very difficult being alone all the time. That numbing sense of lonliness had crept up on Vivian until she could barely breathe passed it. She wanted someone that understood her so desperately; wanted that wolf to stay by her side and not leave. She wanted to trust someone, she wanted to be something to someone besides Tse's mother and former Alphess of Lucifer's. It hadn't happened in her short life that she'd just been Vivian. Just been a fae that made a stupid mistake and was trying to do right by the results. No one saw her, just what they wanted to see. They saw a fae that was feirce and confident and a loner, but that wasn't who she was. In reality, Vivan loved being around others, she enjoyed playing and laughing and having fun. She enjoyed basking in the moonlight and knowing that males found her attractive. She wasn't that old at all, barely midway into her third year. She needed something, anything, that would take the darkness away from her. And then...Memphis was there. She was asking such strange questions, wanting such strange things. Vivian knew she should hate this fae before her for taking away her safety, but she didn't. She vaguely respected Memphis but otherwise didn't really know her. Finally she took a deep breath and shifted pale blue eyes to face Memphis. The lightning that had been heralding the rain for a while seemed to settle with the volitile emotions of the pale fae. The night calmed and revealed the beautiful full moon as the fae gave Memphis the full weight of her gaze. Her scarred eye often seemed imposing to others, but Vivian had no doubt it wouldn't bother Memphis. She was stronger than that. "I will be honest with you Memphis, as you have done the same for me. I have only ever needed Tse, and any that I have tried to befriend haven't stayed with me very long. But what would lead you to ask such a question? You are surrounded by those that love you?" [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,405,true] | [atrb=background,http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn15/stephers1995/Memphis---MIDDLE.png] That moment in the storm when everything seemed to freeze. As if time came to a stop just for a mer second. It was still magical in all its views. The storm had a respectful background song playing. The rhythm of thunder and lightening complimenting each other. Creating a song of nature and future life. Thunder struck once more, once it ended that second came. The lightening lit the area, and everything was silent. Vivian was looking into Memphis' eyes just as deeply as she looked into hers. The two were on solid ground that some couldn't understand by just looking at. The two were in each others own world, seeking inside the pupils of their lives. The rains began to descend, taking their reign of life else where. Leaving the moons light to easily cover the land in a pale yet reassuring light. "I will be honest with you Memphis, as you have done the same for me. I have only ever needed Tse, and any that I have tried to befriend haven't stayed with me very long. But what would lead you to ask such a question? You are surrounded by those that love you?" Taking a glance towards her caverns. In they're held the things most precious to her, Arden, Kirill the Pack. "It's true, I'm surrounded by the ones I love. It was curiosity, my friend. To finally realize I had been saved by them." The story made her eyes sting, made her hate herself. But Arden hardly knew such stories, while Kirill had understood so well. "Probably not to any surprise, but I was a insane fool hardly even two years ago. I went completely morbid, I laughed at death. Killing nearly any wolf I crossed, innocents!" Passionate words flew from Memphis' mouth, the feeling to admit such things to others tore her apart. It honestly haunted her sometimes. Memphis was still a sadistic morbid wolf, but the way things were taken in the past was unacceptable. "I found myself saved by those around me. Arden's kindness, Kirill's loyalty and now Naomi's purity. I am rumored as a demon over Traum, I'll take the title, but I always have this kind reminder of who I am here. I, I could never admit it before but realization helped me with that. Thanks to the simple things, even you Vivian."
Such deep words, many thoughts thrown into such a small declaration. Bringing her head high, her eyes twinkling with the moon light. "I think I have to be surrounded by the ones I love to keep myself from the true darkness, and now you hold my fragile secret." A true smile came over her maw as she gestured toward the path toward the Lucifer caverns. The night held so much possession over her.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,451,true] | [atrb=background,http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac192/fireb4ashes/Vivian-MoonClouds---MIDDLE.png] Vivian listened quietly to the other fae's impassioned words. She was aware of Memphis's reputation before, there weren't many who hadn't heard of her. But that she was doing right by the people around her now should be what she focused on. Vivian told her so. "I think we all do what we must when we are young. When I was younger, I was raped by a male, which is how a got Tse and his sister. I was barely old enough to have pups and my pack was destroyed so I was all alone. I lost the female pup and in order to protect the surviving one, I did things that weren't like me. I used to be friendly and trustful. I used to love playing in fields of flowers like Tse does and I valued honor above all things. When I came to Traum everything that I once was had already been long ago beaten from me by my many years of strife. I kill when it is necessary and protect what is mine fiercely. Protection of my son was the only reason I took Alphess of this pack in the first place. It was also why I was so upset when you challenged me for the rank." She shrugged as if all of this wasn't a very big deal, which in her current mood really it wasn't. "What my point is though, Memphis, is that sometimes we grieve over who we were and dwell much on our past deeds, but what you need to realize is that the now of things is much sweeter. You have a family that loves you. You have a mate and a son that are totally devoted to you and you have a new daughter to get to know [Arden's Mate]. So much goodness doesn't change the past, but learning from your mistakes is all just a part of growing up and finding out about yourself. Each of us is different, and none of us are perfect. We do what we can, and that is enough. That you needed help from others to realize this is all a part of life as well. You needed them, they needed you, so you were brought together." She stretched lightly before falling silent, her eyes turning to the flashing lightning in the distance. Unlike Memphis, she no longer had anyone to pull her from the darkness. With Tse's departure, she was constantly at war with herself. She honestly didn't care if she lived or died in the coming war so long as she could be useful to her pack. It was a dangerous life she led but not something she'd admit aloud. That she was drowning in her loneliness was not something Memphis wanted to know about, so she would keep silent and hope against hope that something or someone would come along and save her before she lost the will to fight. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,405,true] | [atrb=background,http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn15/stephers1995/Memphis---MIDDLE.png] To think things would have come to this. A melancholy melodic song played in the background of her head. Playing so smoothly, it was relaxing and calm, it was nice. Unlike the drums of war, that rev up that dark spirit within but then left a harsh hang over of emotions in her mind. To think that they came upon each other, alone, sworn enemies. Yet they looked beyond hatred and grief, two truly amazing wolves once faced, now walking with each other. Vivian spoke of tender subjects, sensitive newly buried subjects. Rape was something no wolf should have to encounter. Not even the rapist, for their minds surly can't be in the right mind. Surely that wolf whom committed the deed is taken over by emotions and hormones letting them become weak, disgusting fools. Vivian spoke with a bitter tone, just as bitter as it still was over Memphis' body. Only months ago, Dragunov had raped her too. While mentions of Tse and he was most precious to protect. Arden was nearly taller than Memph now. Grown near full adult, able to take care of himself very well. He had a family coming, he had a bright amazing future awaiting him. It made Memphis' smile grow within her heart. To see Arden and Naomi, so perfect in their bright rays of light and vibrance. Hearts of gold, pure gold. While Memphis' heart was chipping off the black paint. As the challenge was mentioned, it was a wincing factor. They were slowly getting high ground on their friendship. Or so, Memphis hoped. The mentioning of the battle could really arouse any wolf. Make them jealous, envious or even want to suddenly attack out of hatred. It was something that was natural to be taken hard. But Vivian was looking past that, truly wise and loyal to that factor. It would forever be a sensitive subject, but some things couldn't be let go of, could they? "What my point is though, Memphis, is that sometimes we grieve over who we were and dwell much on our past deeds, but what you need to realize is that the now of things is much sweeter. You have a family that loves you. You have a mate and a son that are totally devoted to you and you have a new daughter to get to know. We do what we can, and that is enough. That you needed help from others to realize this is all a part of life as well. You needed them, they needed you, so you were brought together." Such promising and enlightening words were put into the atmosphere. The skies were clear now, the storm clouds had faded into the distance. As the moon had full reign over the sky. It was true, as reminded through her head before again and again, her family in the Lucifers is what saved her. She'd probably be lost somewhere, killing out of the deep grip of madness. Or drowning her own darkness that kept a tight grip around her sanity. Memphis was so grateful for the life she had now. "That's completely true, I'm not sure what I'd do with out them. And as the years go on, I turn the pages and see a brighter light." She smiled toward the caverns, where her family slept peacefully. "As you had your mishap when you were young, even so, you got Tse. So something can come positive out the past? As if we still have a goal to reach ahead, and to change. Become that better wolf you are meant to be." Memphis smiled at Vivian as they began to walk. As a yawn forced her maw to open. ooc; you realize we started this thread in summer last year? XD <3

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,451,true] | [atrb=background,http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac192/fireb4ashes/Vivian-MoonClouds---MIDDLE.png] Vivian looked to the skies as the storm cleared and the moon came out to shine on she and her once foe. The pale fae realized she had changed much since that day she had been used. She had grown up alot and had a handsome son to show for it. Tse had grown up so very well and even though he'd decided to forge his own path away from her Vivian was proud of him. Now larger than her, Tse had grown to thankfully look nothing like his dreaded sire. He was honorable and gentle-hearted and loved to ask question and help others. She thanked all the others that had helped her shape her son into the adult he was today. Still...watching Memphis and listening to her words struck a chord in Vivian. Memphis had found her way back into the light through her family. Vivian...well her light had abandoned her and now she was to fight in a war for the pack she belonged to. She didn't mind really, it was just...She sighed and looked at the moon again, obviously deep in thought. Vivian wanted more out of her life than merely existing. She wanted so much to be even a small amount like the wolf she had been. But that was imposible so she would do what she could for those she could for as long as she could. Vivian knew she would fight onward always until she was so tired from fighting that the darkness that followed her would finally swallow her whole. There was no way to explain this to Memphis and Vivian found she didn't want to do so. The other fae was happy and speaking of darker matters just wouldn't be right. Yet having someone to speak with, even if only for this short time, was a great releif for the nearly depressed fae. Finally she focused pale eyes of Memphis. "Tse was the only good to come of my past yes. And that better wolf you speak of, I am sorry to say that she no longer exists. I am far to gone to be saved from my darkness Memphis, but it makes me happy to see that you have been saved." She mentally winced at her words, she hadn't meant to say them at all.
