[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,400,true] | [atrb=background,http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac192/fireb4ashes/Vivian2-MIDDLE.jpg] Pain. Vicious, burning, biting pain ripped through a still figure as it convulsed back and forth within the warm confines of a much guarded and well kept secret den. The fae within tossed and turned in her sleep but never quite awoke; not even when her pale form heaved violently as if she'd been in a long fight. Vivian was having a nightmare, one she'd had before and one she knew she'd have again. Ever since her son Tse had become old enough to decide on a den this nightmare had been coming more and more often and each time it was more terrifying than the last. When she was awake Vivian knew that this nightmare was from not dealing with a problem long ago, but that didn’t seemed to make things easier on her when she slept and the darkness chased her. In her dreams she saw the dark form of the male that had taken her against her will, she saw him pinning her down again and again as he took her for his own pleasure and how helpless and repulsed she’d felt during and after the act. She remembered how it felt as he forced her to the cold ground. And she remembered how cold she’d felt inside the day he’d found her again and threatened to take Tse away from her. The blood had been warm as it coated her nose and dripped from her mouth to the ground. That day, Vivian knew she’d failed once again. By being forced to kill Kole, she’d become as bad as he was. She tried to justify it by saying it was to protect Tse but still the death weighted heavily on her some nights. Her nightmares though, those were of a time where she hadn’t been able to beat Kole. In her dreams the male had been the one to win their fight and his cruel laughter had echoed through her head as he’d run off carrying Tse as the pup continued to cry for her. She’d been left broken and bloody on the snowy ground and had been able to feel her life slipping away. Finally Vivian awoke with a start and snarled viciously, her fur all standing up on end as she looked around for a threat that was no longer there. Finally she managed to calm herself and quickly exited her den and before she knew it she was running headlong for the deeper parts that made of the outskirts of Lucifer’s. She didn’t care who saw her and anyone that got too close she’d deal with, but at this moment, running was the only way she could stop the images from her dream from coming back. Running was the only thing that kept the darkness at bay. Notes: Yes I'm feeling a bit dark right now. I hope you like it. Word Count: 463

Large bat like ears flicked back and forth from the sounds. So deep and so powerful, yet so far away. A mystery to most, what caused the horrid sound and the death defying light to come from the clouds also. Then like magic little droplets of rain fell from the clouds. It aroused many wolves, while Memphis just wondered quietly. Today was pretty much like any other. Yet these days are starting to grow tenser, seeming to squeeze worry through out all pack lands. War spoke of its promises in the future. All the packs were on their toes while they prepared for the worst. It wasn't that long ago since the Cesaru gang war had ended. We'll Memphis was only a year old back then. She got to her feet, gliding through the Lucifer pack lands with ease. Having traveled through here like a daily routine recently. It seemed many wolves were coming to packs with rumors of the War. All wanted to get in on the battles or get protection. Either way, most were accepted but some were defiantly not welcome to the Lucifer lands. Zurian had made her decision to come back one morning to haunt Memphis with vivid memories. Memories of how Dragunov Solokov had taken advantage of her. How he shattered her to no end, until Kirill came to save her that is. It made her smile thinking about her large mate. Whom was busy these days with War duties, training the pack etc. She'd forever be proud of him. Arden now growing taller than herself, her own son. She seemed to stumble upon happier memories rather than horrid ones. She liked this but their were things that Memphis seemed to forgotten. Not thinking in others paws, as the rare scent of a Fae came into her nostrils. Vivian? The last time the two females had seen each other was when Memphis took place as Queen. Something told Memphis this would be ugly, but something also told her to approach her... The tall and rather muscle based Maned wolf came from the breach. Seeing that white pelt flow with ease. While thunder rolled in the background. "Welcome back Vivian." Her voice didn't express any cockiness, for a change. Welcoming her back may have sounded strange. Yet Memphis hadn't seen a tail of where she may have been. Figuring she had come back for unfinished business, she wasn't sure. She kept herself relaxed, chocolate orbs staring into hard light blues. Memphis tried her best to stay on friendly behavior, while other things rumbled inside her.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,400,true] | [atrb=background,http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac192/fireb4ashes/Vivian2-MIDDLE.jpg] The sounds of thunder in the distance did little to ease the heart of the pale fae as she ran for who knew where in her rush to escape the bad memories. She had good ones, of course, to go with the bad. Lately though it seemed there wasn’t enough good to block out the bad. Sure she’d had the pleasure of raising her son as she wanted and she belonged to a pack that took care of its own but she’d also lost her place as Alpha before she’d even really begun. Tse really adored Memphis even unto this day but Vivian…well Vivian wanted nothing to do with the larger fae that now ruled next to Kirill as an Alpha of Lucifer’s. Mostly Vivian wanted to be by herself and figure out what her place now was. She’d fought long and hard to give her son the time he’d needed to grow up and now that he didn’t need her anymore – no one did – she wasn’t quite sure what to do with herself any longer. She wasn’t needed, and the nightmares lately made her realize just how very alone she really was. She’d tried making friends but none had really stuck around much for her to get comfortable enough with them to open up to that person. Another loud crash of thunder sounded, followed by a brilliant flash of jagged lightning that split the sky to herald the oncoming rain. Vivian didn’t really notice though as she kept going. In fact, had Memphis not spoken to her when she had, the pale fae would have passed right by the Alphess without even noticing her. But Memphis had indeed spoken and as the words slowly processed in Vivian’s mind she began to slow her steps before finally stopping almost completely past the larger fae. Their sides nearly touched as Vivian turned her head slightly to regard Memphis out of her good eye; though both eyes were clearly visible since Vivian never was one to show others her weakness. The scar across her left eye shone visibly even in the darkened area around them. As pale eyes looked at the other female, there was at first no sense that there was anything with a soul looking out at Memphis. Cold, uncaring, unfeeling eyes – glowing feral silver in the waning light – regarded the larger form for long silent moments before finally Vivian turned around completely to face Memphis – as she still refused to call the female her Alpha. Finally life started leaking back into Vivian’s eyes, but no warmth touched them. That warmth and caring was locked deep inside the fae and reserved solely for her son. Her voice, when she spoke, was low and calm; with no emotion behind them. “Hello Memphis.” Those were the only words she spoke, not once commenting on the other fae’s words of welcome. She’d never left the pack’s lands so why would she need to be welcomed back. Her head tipped up as high as she could make it go, clearly a proud stance and the same one she’d held even before she’d become Alpha. It was something inherent in Vivian and even losing her Alpha status wasn’t going to change that about her. But her tail was down and still so she wasn’t being aggressive or rude, she just wasn’t showing respect. It was more like she didn’t really care Memphis was there. Notes: Vivian is REALLY in a dark mood today. Wow I've never been able to play her like this today. It's kind of scary. ^^ Word Count: 569

Walking in the darkness toward Vivian's scent, seeing a few ruffles of white pelt here and there. Her wolf eyes were often able to see clearly in the night, but something was mery about the area on this stormy night. Something that gave Memphis a gut wrenching feeling in her gut. Vivian certainly wasn't in the correct state of mind. Something swirled around Vivian like a corrupted aura that was focusing its energy. Most likely toward Memphis. Light brown orbs kept looking forward. As the long nostalgia of the area grew silent. No words were traded. Clearly a friendly greeting wasn't what Vivian was looking for. Well.. Memphis tried. "Hello Memphis" A dark edge echoed through the wasteland. As if nothing, Vivian lifted her head high, her eyes glancing toward her. Feeling those cold hard blue orbs on her. It actually made her want to shiver for a moment. Instead a more recognizable Memphis came into the view. Moving herself to face Vivian now. Two long hearted opponents. Moving her gaze toward the skies, a timid smirk on her maw. "Certainly a hatred must have grown within you Vivian. Completely understandable, I have high respect for you at the least." Words of wisdom in Memphis' mind. Vivian had given a great fight. Mostly to protect her son, which Memphis was aware. Yet the Lucifer's were more than everything to Memphis and Kirill. Light colored and orange tinted pelts flickered in the wind. Creating a new aura perhaps, perhaps not. Memphis held respect also for the fact Vivian hadn't gone wild and attempted a sneak attack or a level of revenge... or had she? Strange to suddenly pop up now. War was near and Memphis wondered if Vivian was completely aware of the dangers that held. "Keep good watch over Tse, Vivian. For a great war will spread over the island soon. Assassins and kidnapping wolves are beginning to flood the island." It was true. Word of the Renegade loyalty kin had been kidnapped along with others. Truthfully trying to stay on Vivians good side as Memphis kept a easy gaze toward her. The war would certainly be something great. Something like the Cesaru misfortune would be talked for centuries. Talked of the great leaders and kings that had brought the island back to its peak. For Memphis couldn't wait to meet Dragunov face to face in a planned matter. Perhaps loosing another ear, even limb would be fitting. Most of all his throat, she suddenly licked her chops in her wondering mind. "Will you be at the Lucifers side Vivian?"

Completely understandable, I have high respect for you at the least." Vivian blinked blankly at the words coming from Memphis’s maw. The fae thought she…hated her? Why would she have any reason to do such a thing? May it was because she’d lost the Alpha fight against the other fae? This fact was in no way a determinate to her and Memphis’s relationship. No indeed, Vivian had no care one way or another about the larger fae. She simply wanted to be left alone as she enjoyed her privacy immensely. "I do not hate you Memphis. I don't really feel anyway towards you other than a vague sense of respect." "Keep good watch over Tse, Vivian. For a great war will spread over the island soon. Assassins and kidnapping wolves are beginning to flood the island." Irritation crossed blue eyes and finally got a heated response from the stoic fae. “I mind my own, Memphis, no need to be concerned with that. My son is hardly a pup anymore though and more than capable of watching out for himself.” She paused for a long moment before remembering her manners. “I thank you for your concern though.” Truthfully Tse hadn’t been to their den in several days and she was worried completely sick. But she wasn’t lying, her pup wasn’t so much of a pup anymore and now he didn’t really need her. She was useless. "Will you be at the Lucifer’s side Vivian?" The pale fae lifted her head up proudly. “I fight for my pack Memphis, and I fight to keep my place here. I offer nothing more and nothing less.” Word Count: 281

It seemed Memphis had grown a habit of assuming things. At least she felt this way. Vivian had seemed to have a growing blank stare when Memphis stated a assuming sentence. Her words were confident, and what she thought just and sure. Yet still, Memphis had kept herself well and calm. Not making a matter of the ordeal at all. "I do not hate you Memphis. I don't really feel anyway toward you other than a vague sense of respect." Nodding respectfully. Memphis was rather glad she didn't hate her. If it was anything Memphis wanted to keep her enemy level to a minimum. The greater number of allies the better. Memphis was over her phase of wanting everyone to hate her in her rebellious days. She was mature and well minded these days. Wise even. "Very well." “I mind my own, Memphis, no need to be concerned with that. My son is hardly a pup anymore though and more than capable of watching out for himself. I thank you for your concern though.” She squinted, it seemed time has passed to quickly. Which it has, it wasn't long that Memphis found Arden after meeting Tse. Both were around the same age perhaps. Yet in Memphis' mind she pictured both of the young adults still as adoring, helpless pups. It was something she would rather picture. Tse had always been a adoring fluff ball of the pack. While Arden was certainly all grown. Now standing above Memphis in height, which was fairly rare. Memphis was proud of her son, she had just learned he would be having pups of his own. A real test of family relationships as Memphis met Naomi for the first time. She couldn't help but to feel slightly paranoid sometimes. War was on the edge of breaking loose over the island like a plague. “I fight for my pack Memphis, and I fight to keep my place here. I offer nothing more and nothing less.” A loud exhale came from her maw. Blinking a few times, as she glanced toward her feet. They became lit, as a heat lightening lit up the land around them. It was a rather intriguing feeling as the two stood up there alone. Was Vivian the same wolf Memphis had once known? But she would not assume or say anything, for she seemed to fail at this around Vivian. "Well, Vivian you have caught my words. You may not accept it, but I see something has changed within you. I cannot tell if it is something good or bad... Yet we both have our views on things, don't we?"
Memphis took another deep breath. Enjoying the cool and relaxing air around her. What else would be said? Memphis personally felt it was wise to keep herself from further pestering Vivian with assumptions and questions. In fact, she hoped she would have a question for her maybe not. Either way, it was some what relieving to see Vivian again. To know she was well, and still loyal. Most of all, a strong and beautiful wolf. ooc; muse fail. memphis is trying to be wise and auhh idk assuming which is failing XD sorreh [/blockquote]

Obviously Memphis was trying to act mature for once but she kept putting her foot into things without meaning too and the more she did it, the more amused Vivian became. Honestly as much as she didn't feel like dealing with the Alpha, Vivian couldn't help but enjoy the other fae's company if only for a moment. Being near Memphis let her feel like she was actually a part of something and not merely a remnant of a forgotten time. Yes Vivian knew she'd lost her rights as Alpha in a fair duel between she and Memphis, but still...Mentally the pale fae shook her head and shifted so she could view Memphis thorugh her good eye. She may not show it, but she did have issues seeing with her left eye from a fight long ago. "Well, Vivian you have caught my words. You may not accept it, but I see something has changed within you. I cannot tell if it is something good or bad... Yet we both have our views on things, don't we?" Vivian blinked pale eyes at Memphis's words and snorted again, eyes dancing with mirth. She knew the other fae wouldn't find her amusement very funny at all. Still...she couldn't quite make herself care enough to completely hide her amusement. In an effort to save Memphis some embarassment, Vivian finally spoke in a slightly friendlier tone. "You are very bad at sounding wise Memphis. I know you are trying hard but please do stop. I do not wish to laugh at you but you keep saying things that I find either annoying or amusing. So then," Here the pale furred fae sat down and primly tucked her tail close to her, "Why don't you tell me how your son is doing? Your Arden is the same age as my Tse and I bet he's gotten fairly large these last few months." It was a safe topic to be sure, but t least Vivian had assured the Alpha would no longer say things that would possibly result in a fight between them. Word Count: 358

Blue and brown eyes clashed like no other. Like a natural disaster, for a moment Memphis couldn't take her eyes off from her gaze. This wasn't the Vivian from before. The pure and loyal wolf that once roamed the lands of the Lucifer's as it's Alphess. Yet now, things were being looked at differently. What was it? Memphis knew for a fact she would be bitter is what happened to Vivian had happened to her. Yet Vivian wouldn't admit that. "You are very bad at sounding wise Memphis. I know you are trying hard but please do stop. I do not wish to laugh at you but you keep saying things that I find either annoying or amusing. So then," Bat like ears perked, then retracted. Bad at sounding wise? This night was growing interesting to the very least. Memphis dropped her head and shook it slowly. Bringing it back up with a smirk upon her maw. Fine then, she spoke out loud in her mind. Apparently, Memphis wasn't the one for wise and calming words. It may be true, Memphis wasn't the type of wolf to think her words through. Impulsive. That's what she was, and trying to sort of things was her way of doing things. Yet nothing ever goes smoothly for her, does it? Even now as Memphis tried to be Vivian's friend. In her own way she was put down and basically asked to stop her foolishness. Memphis simply tried to ignore her words. But then it made Memphis realize she was wise. Not grammar, but psychically. Memphis had grown on impulsive and urges. Often spitting back a hateful comment or a disrespectful insult would be her usual answer. Yet these happy realizations stayed hidden within Memphis' own mind. For she simply won on her own side. A expression of disappoint appeared instead. "Why don't you tell me how your son is doing? Your Arden is the same age as my Tse and I bet he's gotten fairly large these last few months." Changing the subject? In fact, Memphis was rather happy. Considering she felt she had no more words toward the other conversation. While a million things could come from the two mothers' mouths Memphis put on a equal smile trying to connect again with Vivian. "Funny you ask, Arden is going to be a father soon. He has bound himself with a pure white maned fae. In fact, most of this is still new to me too. And as for size, he has grown taller than even I. The words made Memphis smile with pride. "What has come of Tse, recently hmm?"
There was a strange tone in Memphis' voice. Perhaps a small hinge of pride was lingering in her voice of Arden. Yet who knew, as the tension between the two females grew larger. The simple glance of another female wolf between the two can be come disastrous. Yet these two had held their ground for the past moments. Memphis' could feel her hackles rising slightly. ooc; oooh whats going on heerrree ;P [/blockquote]

Which was why she'd mentioned something they two of them could easily speak of at length safely - their sons. It seemed quite a bit was happening to Arden as of late and Vivian found it amusing that Memphis seemed very proud of him while at the same time seeming to not fully know what to do with her son's lady friend. Then again, Memphis would have grandchildren soon so Vivian couldn't really blame her. Stretching out her lean body, the pale fae decided to at least attempt to lighten this dark mood that had settled between them. While she still didn't really care about Memphis one way or the other - she was grateful to the other fae for being there when she needed companionship. With Tse gone, she spent so much time alone and though she'd fight for this pack, she really didn't have any reason to stick around any longer. Her voice was soft and a bit melancholy when she finally spoke again. "I've seen Arden about a few times though not up close. He does seem to be growing well though I do wonder about him choosing a mate and wanting cubs so early. He's not too old, old enough I suppose but where I came from wolves usually waited until they were a bit older to decide to start a family. It must be overwhelming for you as his mother during this time. I would wish you luck but I cannot decide if it's appropriate or not." They were very different, she and Memphis. Word Count: 283

Oh yes, Memphis was very proud of Arden. The more she thought about it the more her smile seemed to grow. The more her cocky smirk seemed to watch to show. The more her heart pounded with happiness and fulfillment. Arden had been her blessing with both luck and happiness. A relationship was hard to find with Memphis yet they seemed to find a place in her heart fondly. Sure, Arden was the one who Memphis saved, but he saved her too. A depression, dark and veil wolf Memphis used to be. Once Memphis left her crazy corrupted birth pack she had found herself on a killing spree. She had only mentioned some if it to Kirill, often hating herself for that lonely year. Memphis found reassurance when she came to the Lucifer's. Kirill had always been something so close, yet they soon became everything they wanted to be, mates. It was a surprise though, it quite literally wasn't long ago when Arden had introduced Naomi to them. A albino maned wolf? A hybrid for sure, yet Naomi had a good heart and soul. Something not so known within the Lucifer's, like Arden too. Naomi is well pregnant, due soon in fact and the news of her existence was the same time they learned she was heavily pregnant with Arden's pups. I would wish you luck but I cannot decide if it's appropriate or not." She squinted, it was very true in Memphis' opinion. Arden was still so young, so innocent yet he'd be a father very soon. On the inside she frowned, yet she couldn't help but to be happy for her son. He had found happiness on a righteous path. Something Memphis took so long to find... "In my opinion, I also see him as being a bit too young. Yet he is happy, and a noble brute thus I will support him all the way. Looking toward the distance. Stretching into a sea of darkness. Blinking a few times as Memphis thought of something she hadn't thought of in such a long time. It overwhelmed her, "You see Vivian, I feel I must let Arden live as he wants. Although, I do not know what I'd do with out him... For you see, I am barren." The look in Memphis' eyes were so lost and empty as she said those words. It was something nearly two wolves only knew. Vivian may not care for Memphis. Yet something such as this venting and conversation with her meant all that to her. Memphis had wished for companionship, to be friends. Yet it seemed nothing usually went through as planned with Memphis. "Sorry, it seems I've let my guard down." She turned her glance, suddenly jealous that Vivian could bare kin of her own. But Arden would be the greatest treasure whether he be her own or not. He was still hers.
