The day had come and gone. Now the only light that still lingered in the quickly darkening lands was that of the setting sun. It was a beautiful sight to behold if one actually stopped and paid attention to it. Which not many seemed to have the time for anymore. The sun light was still able to bounce off the leaves and make the trails glow almost with a fire hue to it. Beautiful. The small creatures of the forest were starting to settle down for the night. They retreated back to where the rest of their families hid. They had survived yet another long day from the world of being prey to much larger predators. Lucky them.
Something stirred the forest floor. Gentle steps walked along one of the paths that had been created over the years of deer and other large animals traveling on it. Soft paws touched the ground and quickly lifted back up. It almost seemed like the icy femme was floating on the path. She barely made a leaf move or a rock turn over. She had long since mastered the art of stealth though in this moment she was not really trying. It was just habit for her in new lands to not make a lot of noise. Due to the simple fact of her not knowing what the terras would bring enemy wise. Her pelt seemed to glow as the setting sun hit it. Her orbs were the only thing that seemed to cool her down. They were the most amazing hues of ice and water.
She watched as a mother deer and her child walk through the woods looking for a place to rest for the night. There was a strange sense of calm over her. Relaxation. She had no urge to separate mother and baby. Besides it had only been a day or two since her last kill. There was no point to cause blood spill at this time. She watched them for a few more moments until they were out of sight and she continued to walk herself. She was almost lost in her thoughts.
Her past always seemed to come up when things were still. She could never forget it. Cruelty. No one had been there for her. By no means did she need anyone to be able to live but it was nice once and a while to have a conversation with another passing beast. As long as he or she did not try and attack her. Though this femme was smaller built she was fast and had a strong bite. Her beautiful ivories were sharp and strong. They had seen many battles. She never chose to fight another but they always seemed to chose that path for her.
It must be the scent she gave off that attracted brutes to her side. For she had never been with someone. She was one of the few that actually thought it meant something. When she would mate it would be for life. So she had had to protect herself from many perverted males. And she would continue until that right brute came into her life. She let out a sigh as she moved off the path. There was a rock that the top was covered in moss. It looked like the perfect place to rest her sore paws for the moment. Gently, she laid her bodice down on the soft green patch. She rested her maw on her forepaws and let out another sigh.
The sun was finally almost set. She decided to watch it. It had been many many moons since she felt comfortable enough to relax in a strange land. Though she was relaxed her guard was still high at attention. She knew she was not the only creature in the woods this night for she could smell other wolves. A thought danced into her mind wondering if one of them would stumble across her on her mossy perch. She lifted her maw towards the heavens and let out a long cry. Just to let people know that she was there and was willing to meet another.

Once again, another long uneventful day was passing over. Nothing that was supposed to get done, got done. As usual.. The sun in which was perched oh so high in the sky at one point was beginning to tuck itself in for the night, which painted the entire sky a whole new color which in a way was rather beautiful. It was as if a painter just splashed a white canvas with multiple shades. A grin somehow snuck it's way upon darkened lips as I admired the sky for a breif moment. Pretty soon all colors will fade and the earth will once again have it's dreary blanket of black engulfing it. The part of the day I must admit I like the best. That was when the beasts came out to play. The night lurkers... I was one'a them. I loved to hide out in the shadows. Of course my excuse was the sun hurt my eyes. It was too bright for me in mid day. Good excuse, don't ya think? As I continued to move through the thickets and patches of brush I began to sing lowly to myself, almost looking as if I were a bit insane. "On the road again, can't wait to get on the road again." It wasn't like I was all into the singing seeing as how I wasn't shouting lyrics out over every other noise out there, I was simply singing to myself and so my own deep voice was barely above a whisper. I was simply trying to amuse myself, keep my own thoughts from emerging their ugly heads. Oh how I hated to think, so what better way to drowned out the sorrowful thoughts, then singing? I may not be overly vocal but I was just loud enough to not hear myself think, make any sense? Such a shame that was the only part of the blasted song I knew. A low sigh escaped my chest as I continued to move. Dial carried a bit lower than usual. The tips of my large pointed ears were level with my shoulder blades. Tail just sort of hung limp between well toned hind quarters. I probably looked like a rather pathetic sight, but that was just because nothing caught my attention, not yet. As I continued to prowl down the rather narrow path, I could hear the hald dead leaves crinkle and crack beneath my own massively sized paws. A almost silent chuckle escaping my lips now as I listened to the already dieing lives break beneath my weight. Have you ever really takin the time to listen to the sound it makes? I mean, really listen listen to it? I lowered my own cranium lower to the ground to inhale the ground in which I was walking on, just to see what was on this path before me, and judging by the warmth of some of the spots, it wasn't to long ago someone else walked this very path. And so now, simply out of curiousity I sped up the pace just a notch.. It wasn't until I heard the sound of russling and movement that my entire canvas came to a frozen stand still. Every muscle in my body seemed to stop movement all at once. Souless, nearly black orbs locked upon the thickets to the left of me. The rustling sound grew louder, and louder. And I waited in aticipation, adrenaline and excitement now taking the place of my blood, coursing through my veins. Lions, Tigers, and Bears oh my?! What could it be? Something for my to play with? "Come out, come out, and play with me." My words deep, however never did the tone rise above a whisper. I wanted to play, with just about anything at this point. I was bored. My muscles flexed beneath that deep gray pelt. And finally the creator of the noise emerged, first came a doe, and then... What's this? Aww, she brought her little baby to play. How sweet. I rolled my eyes in a bit of annoyance. Deer, they are no fun... However the mothers, they get pretty over protective when it comes to their spawn. Maybe this day could be a little more exciting. I wander if this specific mommy is a flight, or fight. Once again the corners of my lips tugged upwards to form that same, menacing grin. I could see it now, I can see how this would all play out. But then, something else fogged my thoughts. I was on the prowl for something else, not deer... No... This one was of my own species. And judging by the scent that lingered on the path, she had a rather beautiful aroma that followed her where ever she went... I just wished to put a face to the perfume, and maybe even a name. See, I was a born charmer. Wait til ya see me in action. "Maybe next time." By the time I said that the mother and child had already knew I was there watching. I wasn't trying to be to discreet about it, but they never ran. Simply watched me. I offered the doe a wink and a rather toothy grin before continuing down the trail. Humming a bit to myself. Ligaments moving in a smooth and steady pace. So far, my own past memories seemed to be tucked away for the night, perhaps they decided not to haunt me on this crisp autumn evening. How sweet'a them.. It was then that that long, eerie cry danced its way into my twin towers. Such a lovely song it was, and I was assuming it belonged to the one in which's name I did not know, but who's trail I have been following. I fought back that urge to respond to her cry, which might I add was not a easy task. It was like trying to get a new born baby to stay quiet when it first enters the real world from the mothers womb. Instead my pace seemed to quicken, and it was then I finally spotted the one in which I was seeking. She seemed to be watching the setting sun as I came from behind her. Of course I wasn't trying to hide the fact I was there, as a matter of fact I probably made more noise now then I had before, however I still a ways off. I cleared my own throat and my words seemed to boom from my vocals now. "A rather beautiful scenery, is it not?" I was slowly making my way to the right of her, never once locking my own dark orbs upon the vixens, however they remained on the scenery in which she was watching. My entire canvas remained rather relaxed at this point. Didn't want to come on to head strong here. [/blockquote]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,400,true] | [atrb=background,http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac192/fireb4ashes/Pyro---MIDDLE.png] The large male had seen his ex-mate birth their cubs, was chased away from them, nearly killed in the process, and fought against another wolf in a blind rage and killed him. What a day it had turned out for him. As he stalked through the area, he growled. So, he wasn't even allowed to see his own pups. Fantastic! Just fucking fantastic! His ears were pinned back a little as his green eyes scanned the land ahead of him. As he stepped onto a dirt trail, he sniffed the ground. A female had passed through here. He followed the smell and then saw her. A silvery colored female. Beautiful. He was about to walk up and introduce himself when another male walked into the scene. Shrinking into the shadows to observe a moment, Pyro listened carefully. He was a big male, but Pyro was bigger than him. Of course, Pyro was bigger than most wolves period. Most, but not all. He got his size from all the food he had eaten over time from growing up. He was always well fed and burned off the extra weight from fighting and excersing regularly. He was large and slender, very powerful. As he watched, the male seemed to relax as Pyro observed. If need be, the red-colored wolf would step in. He didn't take kindly to males hurting females in any way, whether it be phyiscally, emotionally, or mentally. He was a ladies man, you could say. Giving his respects to the girls and giving his aggression to the rude males that he crossed from time to time. What really caught Pyro's attention, though, were the female's blue eyes. They were beautiful eyes, attention-grabbing. Some often called Pyro the Christmas Wolf due to being red with green eyes. It annoyed the shit out of him. Finally, out of boredom, Pyro revealed himself. "Hello there, beautiful maiden. I'm Pyro. It's an honor to be in your presence." he smiled kindly as he bowed his head to the female and looked at the male with a nod of his head. He didn't know what else to say that wouldn't make him sound like a total idiot. He looked at the land around him. Truely beautiful. As he stood by the female's side, he looked proudly at her. She was more than beautiful. She had the beauty of a godess, in Pyro's opinion. He wasn't counting on grabbing her attention, but he was counting on being run off like always. He was always chased away. Pyro was trying to change the way he acted, he really was. But something held back. Something dark.

She rested her maw on her fore paws to relax. Some might have seen this as an act of being tired but that was not true in her case. Sure her pillars might a little tired from her traveling but at any moment if she felt threatened she was not too tired to protect herself. She blinked watching the sun setting. The beam of light hit her sight just right that it almost blinded her for a moment. It caused her to pick her head back up to be able to see again. Beauty always seemed to come at such a cost even such as this. A small grumbled escaped her lips as she turned her head away from the sun.
She watched as two squirrels wrestled through the tree branches. One of them had a nut that the other had wanted. Thus was the way of life. There were those that hunted for food and those that refused to do so and would try and steal what ever they could get their greedy little mitts on. No honor among thieves. It was a funny sight to see however. One would quickly jump to another branch while the chaser would not see this in time and lose its grip and fall back down. It made the femme laugh lightly.
The sound of rustling from behind caught her attention. It was a larger creature. Not some rabbit or squirrel trying to find a hiding place before the night comes. No the scent gave the beast away. It was another of her kind. So my call was heard... she thought as a smile danced on to her elegant features. By the smell of it the beast was a brute. They always gave off such an odor that was easy to pick out. Much more gruff then that of a femme. Perhaps she would have someone to enjoy the sunset with her. Or perhaps she would have to chase him off. Though she was small she would not be scared easily from anyone or anything. She was a loner and knew better.
The sound now of a brute's lyrics made her audits twitch back. "I agree... Though many do not know how to stop and enjoy it..." she said in a cool tone not looking back at him. Finally, she turned to see who the stranger was. A rather large brute. She wondered if he had intentions of being there or he was just wandering around the woods like she was. "Who do I have the pleasure of knowing?" she questioned. Her tone almost musical. "I was given the name of Artemis by my mother."
Before there conversation could continue the scent of another male caught her attention and she turned away from the one that had already spoke. She did not know that there were so many in the area. The wind was not strong nor was there really even a breeze. No wonder why she did not know this. As the other stranger emerged from the wood, her brow raised slightly and a smile traced her lips. "My my... Maybe I should come around here more often," she said with a light laugh. She noticed that she was still laying down and thought it rude so she stood up.
"This is kind of unfair... Two brutes against one femme? Tsk tsk..." she said with another little laugh. "Though I would enjoy some company," she finished looking from the first brute to the second one. As the red male spoke she raised her brow again at his compliment. He was a little forward about things and they had only just met. Perhaps he was just a romantic or something which would be a change from the normal males that she had run across before. "As I told my new friend right before you arrived... My name is Artemis... May I ask yours my dear brute?" she questioned looking at him.
This whole thing could be an interesting turn of events. For she was knew to these lands. She wanted to meet new wolves. Either for good or for bad. She wanted to learn as much as she could about the lands that she traveled to. Perhaps one day she would find a pack that she would run with. But for the time being she was fine with being on her own. She never needed anyone to survive.

You know, I am in the mood for company... Preferably, only female company. Never was a fan a males that did not reside in the same 'group' as I. They were all just a waste of testosterone. And never could seem to go out and find their own tail.. Oh no they had to bombard on someone else. A pity it was. Was this place lacking of females, or what? A sigh escaped my lips.. However I did catch the matriarchs calling before the other brute intruded and I graced her with that dashing, charming, rather toothy grin of mine. 'Artemis? Such a pretty name, for a pretty gal.' Now see, I simply thought that remark to myself as black empty holes watched the female closely. I hadn't spoke yet, didn't quite get to mention my name. At this moment I was just taking in her radiant beauty since I finally turned to look at her. Never did get a good glance at her, I simply watched the scenery. Now I was focused on her. Such opposite she was to me, her beautiful eyes stick out like a sore thumb.. Which were completely opposite from my own darker ones.. And her pelt compared to mine was complete opposite in color, where hers was lighter.. Mine was the shade of shadows. I couldn't help but offer her one more cheeky grin before stating my own name. "My calling is Damon, love. And it really is such a shame no one stops to admire the beautiful things in life anymore. As if everyone is in such a rush now a days." After that last sentence I looked back to the colorful sky, the sun was lowering itself lower and lower. The moon already finding it's spot in the sky.. Those colors that painted the once blue empty sky growing darker as time slowly progressed. I look to the fae one more time, my own deep brown eyes locked 'pon her once more before the sound of rustling caught my attention. Still standing, I turned to look to see who the creator of the ruckus was. And what caught my attention? The red hued male making his way towards us.. And that low growl formed within my throught however I kept it tucked down, not once letting it slip out. I was more irritaded so to speak. Not a big fan of competition. And already the red hued one was throwing out flattering comments. I offered a roll my eyes heaven ward, rather large twin towers twitching back and forth a bit. Muscles flexing beneath my own dark hued pelt. I was not one to take to interruptions, but with a gal present.. I decided to curve my anger issues, suck in pride and offer him a rather forced smile... Which was well to noticeable that it had been forced about my maw. Don't take me for a coward, though. Although the red one was larger than me I wasn't being 'nice' for that sole reason. The way his sucked up to the fae however, made my own stomach twist. A little kissing ass is fine, but don't make out with it. Artemis's next sentence caught me a bit off guard and instantly made a chuckle escape my own chest. My own words now loud and clearly audible by both parties. "If it were up to me, you'd be only going up against one brute." I offered her a playful wink, before fixing my gaze back on the red one. Not quite trusting him.. Or maybe, I just didn't like him cause he was a male. Must be a guy thing, huh? Males just don't like other males. A bit strange. If we could all just get along, this sure would be a better world now wouldn't it? Muse-Sorta there Word Count-638 OOC-Blah [/blockquote]

He contained it, however, and smiled back. It was more a smirk, actually. Pyro looked at the female. "My name is Pyro. But you, m'lady, may call me what you wish." he flashed a kind smile at her. Luckily, Pyro had come in time to hear her blessing. "Ah, Artemis, eh? What a beautiful name." Pyro smiled. He wasn't flirting. He was just being polite and being a gentleman. Ever since the Drog had kidnapped him as a pup, he had been anything but nice and polite. But now, now he was trying to change that. As he thought about Artemis and what she was thinking, he found his thoughts drifting toward that black pup of his and Prince's. He would take Storm when he was old enough and train him to be a fighter, to stand up for himself when he needed to, but to only use his fighting ability when he needed to, not when he wanted too. But then again, Storm would only be taken by Pyro if Storm wanted to be taken. Pyro wasn't one for forcing a pup to do anything. Not anymore. He looked at Artemis's light colored coat. It was lovely compared to Pyro's ugly, red-brown coat.

Slightly shifting, her fore paws overlapping each other as she sat there and watched the two strange brutes. Both of them seemed fairly interested in getting to know her. And neither of them seemed to be too pleased that there was another male in this little meeting. Artemis was the last one that ever wanted fights to break out in front of her. So she would do her best to manage the situation. Though this was the first time she had caught the attention of two wandering males. It was, how you say, flattering she thought. A smile drifted onto her soft features at the thought. She was not vane in any way nor was she trying to flaunt herself to get attention. In past lands she had traveled she had been dubbed a temptress by her attitudes and personality. If she had not been more careful it would have gotten her in trouble.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Damon," she replied softly dipping her maw towards the first brute that replied to her. She smiled again at his comment about beauty. There were more femmes it seemed that took the time to stop and enjoy beauty but it was much fewer and farther between to find a male that did. A rare sight indeed. "It is a shame, don't you think?" she questioned him looking into his pools. "It is nice to know that there are some out there than can take time out of their busy schedules to stop and enjoy the small things. It really is a shame..." she repeated herself. Her eyes studied him again for a moment before letting out a breath that she seemed to have been holding without knowing. "So what brings you to these rouge lands?" she asked with interest.
Then her gaze rolled over to the male that had come last into their small gathering. She enjoyed meeting new creatures and was never afraid to meet them. Though she was a femme and loathed fighting she knew how to. Once more she shifted her weight and studied him. "What kind words, Pyro. Thank you," she said with a smile and a small tail wag. The dust behind her lifted for a moment and then settled back down in the stop it had risen from. Both males that stood before her were handsome. Her tongue rolled over her teeth as she watched them.
Finally she stood and dropped down from her perch. She shook for a moment to get the dust and dirt that had clung to her fur. Though she was careful to make sure none of it landed on her new companions. After all that would have been rude. Artemis had better manners than that. Her fur fluffed up for only a short moment. In that flash if they had been paying attention would have seen a silver scar that ran from her chest to her shoulder. Her icy pelt normally hid it with ease. After that brief moment. her fur settled back to its normal position and she offered them both a smile. "One on one conversations are pleasant. Though at the same time seeing as I am but a wanderer in these lands. So the more people I know the better," she stated looking from one to another. "As long as they are good company to keep."

As previously stated I was not a fan of the 'male' species.. Not unless they resided in the same pack as I, and I never seen this 'Pyro' before, and so he was more or less interfering. I did however catch his smirk, or at least I took it as a smirk, and while the Fae was not looking I bared off my own dull, aged canines in a flash of a warning but with no sound. My gaze then switched back to the one whom captured both our attention. In the end I always come out on top, and I'll make that known to Pyro over here. I can't really promise how much longer I can be tolerant with him being here but I sure as hell was trying. I was known to be rather forceful, but this evening I was trying to approach situations a little more differently then normal circumstances. It was then Artemis' words broke through the silence, and caused those thoughts in my brain to come to a screeching halt, a smile soon graced my own scarred muzzle. 'Indeed, it is a pleasure to meet you as well." I did have one of those cheesy little toothy grins on my facade and so after I realized it I whipped it away rather swiftly. From the corner of my eye I watched Pyro rather closely but did not direct any attention to wards him. If he was smart he'd run along and find someone else to grace is presence here.. My will power was slowly weakening and soon enough the testosterone was going to over power me and I will end up running him off.. Or if he decides to stay there will be blood shed, one or the other. The choice would be his if that time came. I was wishing though he had more brain than that. As Artemis' sweet, hypnotizing tone danced into my auds I fully directed all my attention upon her once more. "Not all of us have lost appreciation of simple things, doll. There are still good ones out there. I flashed her yet another one of my infamous smiles before allowing my dark, almost black, empty orbs to lock onto hers for a moments before allowing them to trail down her canvas only for a brief second though. I was a male, come on now. I still have some of my brute traits. The way the sun reflected off that silvery pelt of hers was remarkable, it was captured just right when the atmosphere was darkening and only a little bit of sun washed over the lands.. Her coloration reminded me of the stars.. I know that sounds corny, but it did! I looked up to the heavens then back down to her fur as if trying to match the resemblance. The corner of my maw tugging up into another smile as I locked eyes with her. And then she spoke to wards pyro. Her gaze on him for the timing being, and my own soulless, dark oculars locked on him as well. Auds sort of twitching back and forth, but the look of disgust no longer hidden, but rather visible while she had her gaze on him. That urge was getting harder and harder to push back. Her movements now caught me off guard and my gaze left Pyro, to watch her get off her perch and leap down. Shaking the dirt from her canvas, I did catch a glimpse of that scar that marked her. An invisible brow rose as her fur settled and I cleared my throat to speak. "And what happened there, my dear?" I was referring to the scar I had managed to see for bit a second. Then she continued to speak. "I much prefer one on one, dear.. You get to learn allot about one in other without interruptions. You a wanderer? I could provide you with a place to say, doll. Rather than risking yourself roaming alone. I am assuming you are alone that is. This world no longer is a safe place for one to travel alone. Never know just what may be lurking in the shadows. Don't take me wrong though, not that I doubt you can care for yourself doll. You seem to be handle yourself well to avoid dangerous situations, but I've seen the things that wait in silence." I was one of those things.. [/blockquote]
