Gryphon was angry. And it didn't help that she was lost at the same time, wandering the trails like a lost puppy on a windy day. The bright sunlight irritated her sensitive pupils, and the female had to squint her way through. It gave her a headache, and that was one more reason for her to have a malicious craving. The strong smell of herd animal tempted her senses, and the wolf could feel her stomach tugging and twisting. The sickening smell of strangers soon caught up with her quick trot, though, and gave her a tingling sense of fear that she couldn't seem to shake. Gryphon grunted, shaking her bizarre shaped frame. Her large ears twitched with every rustle that the smaller prey animals made, and her lean muscles twitched with anticipation, even though her mind told her to stay in control. Her lean legs carried her a bit faster, and as she ran the trees seemed to sway with her pace. A dreaded feeling of helplessness came over her, and she had to slow to a weary walk until it faded away.
Her irritation, though, never seemed to die down as she sighed quickly, halting to a complete stop to examine her surroundings with a little more optimism. The dirt path still had fresh prints in it from the large vegetarians that had probably passed through earlier. The bushes stood up on the left side of her on a small hill, and as she looked around her Gryphon had the feeling that the path she stood on had been here for a good while to be beaten down so far. Small trees were placed randomly with the bushes, an occasional pine was set back a little further. She dared herself to venture into the rogue territory, to make herself a new path where the bison had not ventured. Fallen, dead leaves scattered around her feet, and squirrels darted out of the way. Some singing of the birds ceased, and in the near distance a hawk's cry echoed around into the air.
Gryphon walked further into the forest, and soon the bright sun began to dim, blocked out by the thick canopy of the elderly trees population the area. But Gryphon's curiosity was enough to make her stand tall, and she continued on fearlessly, having an unstoppable craving to discover the secrets of Traum.

With the territory came judgement. Despite being different, flamboyant and interesting, there were some select few that decided he wasn't worth their time only because of the thoughts inside his head, thoughts no one could hear. There was a certain air of grunge about Jean; The way he held himself, with proper grace and yet a distinct creativity visible in every fiber of his silken fur, to the way he spoke, with a poetic tune and a happy word for everyone. Yet Jean wasn't without his dark thoughts, in fact he knew very well of the evil in the world. Not only would you know his self fulfilling motto if he had said something; instead it radiated off him as if contagious. And that motto was this; The world could be dark, cruel and judgmental, but that didn't mean that's the way you had to go about life. Jean could have a chuckle about himself every now and then. In fact, he liked to joke a good portion of the time about what a fruitcake he was. Mainly to women, though. He didn't like feeling shameful in the light of other men, especially those he was shy around.
Jean hung his head a little lower but with his neck still arched. He was out in the woods trying to look for a sharp object, a small needle of sorts. He wasn't having much luck-- all the sharp objects he could see were silly things like pine needles. "This just won't do." He muttered to himself, frowning. Surely you couldn't use a pine needle to pierce an ear! Cartilage might be soft, but it's not that soft. He snickered to himself, a low laugh under his breath. He already had the silver hoop; He just needed somewhere to put it!
As he peered through the trees, blood red eyes staring mainly at the ground in the immediate vicinity of him, he could hear the hoof beats of buffalo and the strong scent of both wolven cousins and herd animals. He smiled to himself; this island was beautiful. This is why he had longed to become a Warrior, to protect the beauty of the island. As he looked up to watch a herd of buffalo stomp by in a meadow off to the side of the path, he noticed a gray female standing and looking. He smiled, trotting off towards her.
"Hello, miss." He said simply, bowing to her.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,410,true] | [atrb=background,http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn15/stephers1995/Crouse-2---MIDDLE.png] Though these lands weren't officially claimed by the Revolt, most wolves associated the Dusty Moon Trails with our rebellious group of rogues. Because of that, these wide stretches of dirt paths were barren on most of the days I was here, though the later part of my day was the exception to that. I had left Jesse back at the Crystal Stream, under the watchful eye of Alejandro; after all, I wasn't his sole babysitter, though I was the majority of the time. This was my day off, to wander about the lands and figure out what kind of chaos I could stir up. I was quite confident in my abilities to do so; hell, I was confident in anything I did. That cocky air clung to me now as I sauntered down the path, my nose twitching as it filtered through the dust, the dust that never seemed to fall to the ground where it should rightfully be. I could scent traces of buffalo, and while my stomach stirred vaguely in desire for the large creatures, it would be foolish to take one down alone. Hey, I was cocky, but I wasn't completely stupid. I'd have to go find Alejandro and Inuleki if I had any chance of tasting that meat. My solitude ended shortly after, and while I was initially pleased, I felt a wave of revulsion when I caught the scent in the air. Well, fuck me. Whoever was up here was a fucking Warrior; the last encounter I'd had with one of them had not gone so well. I considered turning around while I still could, but that obviously didn't happen. I pushed forward, intending to stir up as much trouble with this guy as I could. I'd already fought with one, why not another? As I approached, I discovered that there were two wolves here, a male and female. I could easily add to a distaste for the male, because his build reminded me acutely of Alakay's; he was tall and lean, though his coloring was starkly different than the Omega of the Revolt. He was lifting himself up from what appeared to be a bow; oh, he was oh-so charming. Chivalrous. If you didn't already guess, these thoughts were thought with heavy sarcasm. I didn't like this guy simply by default; we were on opposite sides of the playing field. Most of my attention was focused on the Warrior Maned Wolf, but I hadn't let the female go unnoticed. She was pretty, with her lean build and gray coat, a rich black nestled in the curve of her back. If I'd met her a few months ago, I would have done what I had done with every other lady I'd met; flirt. But since I was under the suspicions that I was going to be a father, something had changed, and I was making the mind to do things right. 'Right' meant different than my own father had done. "Well isn't this a pretty little party," I called out, still sauntering casually closer, though there were many yards yet between either wolf. "Hope I'm not intruding." A smirk pushed its way onto my lips, and my tone said that I didn't give a damn whether I was intruding or not, because I was going to do what I please.

Soon Gryphon's frustration began to wear off, as any would, the cause of said irritation to be a mystery to all, even herself. The mutt wolf refused to believe that she had any kind of mood swings, even if it was true. She was already aware that she couldn't even touch bipolar. That was an extreme saved for rainy days filled with pity parties. The trees soon loosened up into a lighter atmosphere, and Gryphon felt any forgotten parts of her sour mood left behind. It was a nice feeling to be in such a place, but the peace was soon disturbed. "Hello, miss." She grunted, turned around with a frown. It took her a moment to register who, or simply what she was looking at. The lanky maned wolf was a dark color, around the shade of black, as opposed to the average reddish orange color of the average maned wolf. His face was soaked black, and crimson card suits were located along his body. The grey wolf's eyebrows raised as she looked him up and down as he bowed. Gryphon flared her nostrils, but only to affirm that he was male, and that another wolf was coming. The small smirk held on her face stayed firm. "Hi." She wasn't quite in the mood to converse, but the simple response would probably cause conversation to fly up anyway. Soon the other wolf, a male the she soon discovered was a beige color with bi-colored eyes. She snorted at his confidence, glaring over at the new stranger. The two males reeked of opposite sides, and she knew hat she was neutral. She didn't favor the direction that this was heading, but perhaps she could hold her own. "Well isn't this a pretty little party, Hope I'm not intruding." Gryphon's smirk turned into a sour grin. Bronco. she thought bitterly, her molding opinion of this other male forming. The maned wolf had simply been tagged as odd. She was surprised to favor the maned wolf over the other, and hoped that the tables would turn. "Indeed it is. Your maw is tainting it!" She called back with a small grin, turning her full attention to the beige male now. "It isn't exactly intruding when it's your own land, eh?" The similar smell of the trails clung to him, and he was so easily navigated by himself that it was obvious he wasn't just passing through.
