Kreiger stood and as he turned to face her she could have sworn she heard the soft wisper of a, “Very well,” coming back to her. With a spring and a bounce he was beside her. A smile tugged at her mouth as she looked at him. Big brown orbs stared easily at his green pools of forest. Moving together it was odd how their paces matched. No one had ever been bold enough to come along side her in this way until now. Although before now she had always been a leader. It had been the others place to fall in just a bit behin her left shoulder, accept for her second in command of course. Second in command stood a bit behind her and to the right. It was nice not to have to look back at one as she walked. The wind had picked up again and since she really hadn’t been paying much attention as to where she was going it seemed that Kreiger had led her to a very apt place to lay down for the night. He probably knew the area much better than herself. The small cave they approached would block them from the wind within its depths and it reminded her of the cave she had claimed as her own after the plague had swept through her lands. It was atop a mountain and hard to get to but it had always seemed like home. Now as Keen stepped into the warm depths of this cave she couldn’t help but think how much more she enjoyed being in this cave than the other. It may be because this cave was larger but she doubted that was the reason. The dry soil that was beneath her feet comforted her as she stepped farther into the alcove. Such simple things were always easy to appreciate when one had a past such as hers. The back of the cave was just as dry as the sides and front so there was no real reason for her to go to the very depths of their shelter except for the fact that she had a clear view of the entrance to the cave. Keen dropped herself heavily to the ground for though the day had not held much physical excitement for her the promise of a good long sleep was very appeasing. It had been ages since she slept through the night. Every little noise would tend to wake her up because she always watched her back. That was something she had had to train herself to do. Before Ull had started to attack her brothers and sisters she had been a very heavy sleeper. Glancing up at Kreiger she wondered if he would lie next to her or somewhere else. Never had someone taken comfort from her in that way or even tried to give her any sort of comfort, so even though she wasn’t expecting much she still wondered what he would choose to do. Silence grew between them and she really didn’t mind for she found enough that was interesting in the way he moved or the way his fur curled and dipped across his body. As she watched him more closely now she could see how lithe he really was and how fluid and precise his movements were. It was so different from her own blunt athleticism. Kreiger moved as if he danced where as Keen’s muscles pulled her in the ways of softball player, sharp, accurate, and smooth but with a force that could not go unnoticed. However he was different, it seemed almost like he danced everywhere. “So I have told you my past but I know nothing of yours. If you would tell be I’d like to hear it.” Keen tilted her head in a welcoming matter hoping that she showed the same attentiveness as he had given her. Everyone had their secrets so if he decided she was not the one to know of his past she could shrug it off. She knew such little bits about him though and Keen knew she would always wonder what he wasn’t telling her.

There was an immediate relief of the cold when they entered the cave. The winters physical weapon, the wind was cut off by the thick walls around them. Outside toward the open horizon, the sun was beginning to fully fade away. As the colors of dimmed pink and purples began to paint the skies into a wonder of vibrant colors. While to the other side of the sky, the dark tainted blue was swarming in quick. Krieger took one quick look back toward the open wilderness. Having a weary feeling about what was out and about by habit. Yet he knew being among the Warriors, he was safe. They were safe. Yet the dwelling past would still be a little weight on his shoulders. If he was able to find Traum, so weren't they. And by they, Krieger only wished he wouldn't meet face to face. For he had been lucky enough to not make total eye contact to them. Turning his body back around in a swift low movement. Seeing Keen's light figure sticking out among the darkness of the cavern. He sort of stopped in his movements to glance at her. Their hazel mixed orbs meeting, he set a reassuring smile over his maw. As he continued to just reassure himself that everything was going to be okay. It was going well, in fact. “So I have told you my past but I know nothing of yours. If you would tell be I’d like to hear it.” Thick, short ears turned to Keen. His face blank for a moment, he hadn't really told anyone his past before either. A faint smile stretched on his maw. Looking out over his shoulder once more, he let out a exhaled laugh again. He was showing a skittish part of his past right now, seeming a bit uneasy around the time of night. It was the ideal time for spy-like assassins, was it not? He pressed his heavy, day tired legs toward Keen. He didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable as he kept a innocent yet trusting few inches between them. Letting his body fall to the ground in a slow yet graceful movement. He pondered on how to start his interesting- yet not as complicated history like Keen's. Smacking his lips from habit as he thought, their eyes fluent and calm. He smirked and then cleared his throat. "I was born into a huge pack, a futurist type of pack you could say. I mean that by, we practiced business acts that of a homo-sapian. And to simplify that a tad more, we had business' around our lands where you could get pre-caught prey or pre-founded caverns or homes. There was many interesting things, yet the culture of the pack was fading and I can tell you, personally I think its apart of life to catch your prey, or to find your home to your liking. I was born alongside my brother, Ragnarok. We were both born more or less into our uncles' corporation. A spy-assassin corp at that. I swear, I spent most of my life in that horrid place, for about the first year of my life. Only to stumble over my own skills as spy, I had overheard a conversation I wasn't supposed to. To make things short, my uncle was working with enemy packs. My uncle, you see had lost his mind. He said the wolfen-city was impure, unclean and wanted to basically kill them all... I was found out, but knew well enough I couldn't stay any longer. I gave word to our founder, but just as soon as I did that, I fled. I have been running ever since that, what came of that city, whom knows. But I know my brother, Ragnarok is cursed under that corporations' madness and corruption and is tracking me down, along with a group of others. Strange and complicating as it is, I'm just glad to not be tangled in such a mess. This was happening back on the main lands of Asia." Krieger had a faint Scottish accent lingering through out his story. Not as long and complicated as Keen's, not close at all. Yet Krieger couldn't help but not feel... relaxed at times. Even with his carefree demeanor and relaxed exterior, he had that hard realization stapled to the back of his head all the time. He smiled, shrugging a bit. "Yes, I wish to see my brother, but then... I'm afraid that the only thing he'll be looking forward to is killing me." He gave a frustrated and pitiful look. But quickly swept it off as he looked away. Feeling foolish, since Keen had a much harder past than he. He hoped it wasn't a sign of weakness.

Keen watched him with big brown orbs to see how he would take her question. When he smiled and laughed a bit she thought he seemed nervous but was taking it lightly. That was good and so she flashed a smile at him. He lay down before her with only a few inches to spare. Unlike when others had been this close to her, Kreiger made her feel comfortable. It was an odd feeling and needed some getting used to . Patiently she waited for him to begin his tale. Setting up his story he told of a place where you didn’t need to catch your own prey or find a place to bed for the night. One of her ears flicked back in slight confusion. Keen had never heard of a place like that, and though to most it would seem a luxury of life to have pre-caught food she shivered at the thought. Catching prey hones a wolf’s skills. What good is one who cannot track and kill with their own maw? Always an excellent listener she was quite attentive to his story even though she had her own thoughts on the side. Kreiger was a spy? Well she would not have expected that, but then again isn’t that the purpose of a spy? To not be detected? Spies were a necessary evil in this world and she guessed if there were to be spies at all they mine as well be as polite as Kreiger. Keen thought of all that she had told him this night and how in the past she would be worried that she had disclosed something, but she had nothing to hide now. None of her past affects anything here so why worry about it? His uncle had planned a mass murder? This was what she had fought off all her life, the killing of others for no sake at all. Always there had been a war already started when she killed, or a wolf in dire trouble. This killing for no other sake really then killing made her stomach roil. After he found out though, Kreiger had reported it. Keen’s respect for this wolf doubled just in that sentence. He had done the right thing; no matter what it cost him. Kreiger lost his family, friends and home just to do the right thing. She nodded her approval. “But I know my brother, Ragnarok is cursed under that corporations' madness and corruption and is tracking me down, along with a group of others.” Fratricide. It was something very close to the beginnings of her own past. A knowing frown crossed her lips. To have a relative trying to murder you was no laughing matter. It hurts and what hurts the most is the fact that you may have to fight back. Someday you may have to kill your own family. "Yes, I wish to see my brother, but then... I'm afraid that the only thing he'll be looking forward to is killing me." A determined look came upon her face. Her eyes took on a slightly angry look to them. A painful expression came over his face and she hoped it was from recalling his own past not Keen’s angered look. He looked away from her then seemingly ashamed, but what she wanted to tell him she wanted his eyes for. Leaning over she bumped his face up with her nose and then stared him straight in the eyes. It was a form of promising that she had always used with those under her care. “Kreiger, if your brother ever does find you, you will not fight alone. I promise you that.” Ragnarok would be quite surprised when he came to face them. Keen may be female, but that doesn’t mean she fights like one. ooc: Not one of my better posts, please excuse this! :(

Born from the same mother, they were near the same in both looks and personality. Inseparable they were. Ragnarok and Krieger, looked exactly alike. That is, until Krieger started to have brindle colors fill in his coat. Yet their eyes and frame were the same. But slowly Ragnarok would get larger or smaller. Both were under their uncles reign for his spy corporation. Krieger grew found of the it, and the people within it. Only to have them so easily turned, it made no sense really. To have even some closest of friends to take such an order to track down another close friend. Why was that? What could possibly be promised or given to them in this wolf dominate world. Keen gave similar look as he did. Both had complicating pasts. Dwelling with family and misfortune. It was to bad, that this world of wolves was so easily corrupted and twisted. Wolves had such promise, as did humans. Yet it was the greed and insanity that took over the simplest of thoughts and dreams within those promising wolves. His mention of being spy should surprise anyone. He's not really supposed to tell anyone. Only those within the Realm would slowly learn his rank within. Serena could use a spy such as he, yet he knew he had competition. But right then, he didn't really care. But deep inside he wanted to venture and help the Realm for this war. “Krieger, if your brother ever does find you, you will not fight alone. I promise you that." Carrying those heavy eyes to meet Keen's he smiled. "Thank you, Keen." He smiled, those eyes seemed to glow a little bit more. He stretched his neck and back legs, and within a small motion he was beside Keen. Their body heat once again intertwining, protecting from the winters bite. "Keen, believe in me, that I'll be by your side too." He smiled warmly to her, as he licked the side of her maw. With notion, a tired yawn, his jaw stretched as far as it could. He was letting the night skies take over as he felt overwhelmed with sudden sleep weary thoughts. It had been a interesting day. ooc; :D shall we wrap it up? I enjoyed that thread and roleplaying with ya! >:D we must rp these two again soon! <3 [/blockquote]
