Keen Crystal shards crunched underneath her paws. The flowers that had rooted in this forest had been weighed now by frost and had produced a perfect blanket of diamonds. The beauty of her new home amazed her as it always did when she found herself in a new place. By now there had been too many locations in which she had resided to count. The saying home sweet home had turned into hotel sweet hotel to her but she was determined to make this place a home in her mind. It had been but a few days since she had come to this pack but already she felt a weight lifted off of her shoulders. Always she had been the leader, the one in charge but not this time. Now she could relax and not fear awakening to a assassin’s claws. This carefree state in which she now was living was so unknown to her and only glimpses of her puphood reminded her of such a magnificent feeling. It felt good not to have to worry about anyone but herself for a change. All of that would soon come to an end though, as it always did. Keen knew she had not taken this responsibility of being a warrior on her shoulders to let the world turn and slowly pass her by. No, she knew that the job would be difficult but she also knew that the trials of her life had prepared her for such a duty. A sigh escaped her lips and a puff of steam followed it. All of this would soon be thrown away as the rigorous life of her past found her again. Able to perform under suffocating situations has saved her skin on many occasions and she was prepared to use her skills again to execute her best on every level in her new life. A sharp gust of wind cut through her fur to her hind. It reminded her, vividly, of the past life she had run from. Among the memories came the plague of her homeland and the death of her sister, as well as the undeserving hatred she received from her last pack. Another breeze sent her to shivering and her pace quickened. Now going along at an easy trot her limbs started to have feeling in them again. The next blast of wind shook her body, but not because of the chill it gave to her bodess. The sting of it had brought back some of her most painful moments, a loss of a love and the loss of a father. Her paws beat the earth as she ran to not only heat her body but to warm her heart.

The sound of rough gusts against the tree's filled his audios. Severe winter winds that had been building up the past three seasons gave off their rage and fury. The cold fronts building as they began to take complete reign over the lands. It seemed like an endless blanket of gray and white came along with winter. As pieces of dead white passion and hopes fell from the sky. A phantom wolf let out a weak yawn. Awaking from a blank dream, eyes dreary and still tired. Getting to his feet, he had yet to meet Serena himself but was considered a ally of this Realm. He was certainly at the Realms side when in need and carried around a good sense of it too. He knew very well he wasn't in the ranks, but he didn't wish to burden any one any ways. Taking those faithful steps into the new snow, he held a surprisingly confident grin. Brilliant hazel eyes peered around the surroundings. Well fitted ears peered back and forth almost more useful than those kean eyes of his. While his nostrils slowly took in any scent near by. Chest rising slowly and quietly, there wasn't a sound in the woods as he continued to walk. He was a perfectionist when it came to this. Completely quiet as a mouse, he did this by habit of course. Sinking into his pads slightly with ease, feeling around as he took confident silent steps within the snow. This snow was new and thin, meaning it wasn't possible to be silent walking across frozen water. The volume must be pushed else wear, while another flaw would be the tracks left behind. Very aware of these little things, Krieger simply didn't have to care about it. It was nice not having to worry about those little things, the only thing he had to worry about was impressing his elders and the high ranks. But once he noticed tracks in front of his, he smirked. It was the fact he had the urge to work, to do what he does best... spy. Creeping around the side of a large winter pine. He was a master of disguise, nothing else. His words and grammar was sloppy. His legs were that of a runt. While his size was nothing to brag about either, in fact he was short and only built to be a good hider, but that was his secret. Size and strength didn't matter to him, only the success of his ability to gain information. On friendly grounds, he knew Keen was a in the Realm. But out of another habit he felt the urge to track her. Eyes peering around silently, if Keen had looked back she could see the white mist around his maw. But he even perfected that almost fully. Of guard, Keen began to walk faster than into a sprint. With the idea of something was wrong Krieger followed, now easily showing his presence. "Hey!" He shouted, his voice shouldn't be frightening. It had the sense of purity and deep conscience. He decided running through here wasn't his cup of tea. Stopping short, perhaps ten feet behind her he put on a welcoming smile of concern. "Hate to be nosy, but it's hard not to notice something is hurting you.." Another flaw, he was to curious for his own good. But this was different, this was a lady. ooc; i loved your post, and i loved how mine came out as well! c: [/blockquote]

Over the pounding of her paws against the fresh snow Keen didn’t notice the sound of another following her. In normal circumstances when she was actually trying to pay attention to her surroundings she may have picked them up as she ran, but before she could discover him by herself he announced himself. “Hey!” The voice was purely masculine but it wasn’t a gruff voice. No, it had more melody than that. The tone was warm and friendly but what sent her on guard was not his tone but the fact that she could not place his voice. Out of reflex more than anything her brakes slammed and she skidded across the slippery snow. The movement came easily to her as her front end picked up and threw it around to face the opposite direction. The turn put her face to face with whoever had been trailing her. Looking over the younger wolf she seemed to remember seeing him at some point. Kreiger was it? “Hate to be nosy, but it’s hard not to notice something is hurting you…” The question was not difficult for her to find the answer to but no one had ever asked her about her feelings before. No one had cared enough she supposed. “It’s not much.” Of course at that moment the wind would pick up so most any conversation were not audible, so patiently she waited until the gust bowled through. It through up her fur to the side and decided to remind her just then that even though she was with another at the moment, in everything else she was very much alone. When the wind had calmed she continued, “Throughout my years I have know many different home, not by my choice mind you, and so it is just disheartening to have to start over yet again.” Out of bad habit Keen had watched his eyes the whole time. This was one thing she may have to shake from her years as a leader.

There was a harsh breeze that went swooping through the lands. Bitter cold feelings from the winter that was beginning to develop. The scary part was it had hardly began and already it seemed like sleeping tonight would be dangerous. It was the harshness of the seasons, while Krieger himself wasn't a large as he'd wished to be, there was no helping it. “It’s not much.” There was hesitation in her voice. As a spy you learned how to read others expressions. You learned to look deeply into eyes and see beyond lies or truth. Dictate their breathing actions and their over all reactions to every single thing. Keep note of what throws them off, and what keeps them completely calm. While the wind did some answering itself. Running up from behind her, as the wind ran into his face. Blinking to keep focus, he slowly took a few steps closer to her. The way she represented herself was different. Keeping a strong posture and as if denying help. Denying you need help could be seen as both a strength or a weakness. In Krieger's view it was on the down side. Letting go of that dignity to ask for anything was measured greatly to him. Throughout my years I have know many different homes, not by my choice mind you, and so it is just disheartening to have to start over yet again.” Ah so he was partially correct. She had that dominate attitude, but that didn't explain the sorry. Moving homes must have been hard. Krieger hadn't known much about it, considering at a young age he decided to follow his dad into such duties that soon transformed Krieger into being one of the best spies in his home lands for their pack wars. "I see, getting used to a new atmosphere and new pack members can certainly become a bother." He had continued to get closer to her. The both of them kept eyes on each other naturally. His toxic green pools told many stories, defying life and even death. He had seen it many times. He was surrounded in darkness and sorrow really. But still his heart remained untainted by any of that. Now perhaps only a few steps away, he put on another comforting smile. Hoping to calm her and ease her mind. It bothered him to see a fae frustrated or in sorrow such as she. "Could you try thinking of it this way, it's a new beginning. A new tomorrow." He talked with passion behind his words, to him the Realm was a new beginning also. At that he wished to keep it on the up side here on Traum.

As she talked he seemed to be studying her. It confused her some for she really had nothing to hide and being new to the realm she certainly didn’t know anything of importance as of yet. Just as soon as she considered the question though she dismissed it. More out of habit than anything else Keen fused a mask over her face; from years of use she had almost perfected the look of indifference. Unfortunately it often gave others the feeling of being closed off from her whereas she had long ago labeled it as a protective measure not a rude gesture. “I see, getting used to a new atmosphere and new pack members can certainly become a bother.” She tilted her head some in an acknowledgement that he was right. The first time she had been uprooted had been the worst. Everything changed and she was simply not prepared to deal with it. As the years passed and she moved from home to home again and again it became easier to deal with. More and more she found herself in a depressed state looking at the past but Keen knew she had to move on as always. Learn from the past and prepare for the future, but as most do Keen had a bad habit of storing the past inside her heart and never wanting to let go. It was startling just how green his eyes were. They swirled with mystery and adventure and seemed to have a talent of drawing others in. This trait didn’t skip over Keen for she was intensely interested in his eyes as he talked. They were amazing and drew her from her thoughts more frequently than she would have liked. Mostly because she wanted to get a closer look at those bright lime orbs she let him inch his way closer. It wasn’t like she was in any real danger but she tensed reflexively. Keen never let anyone in her bubble and her bubble was quite big. Now, however she allowed him to step closer than she would have liked on any normal basis because she just couldn’t rip her eyes away from his. It was a curious feeling. “Could you try thinking of it this way, it’s like a new beginning. A new tomorrow.” The words echoed through her head and though she was tempted to agree with him just so she could watch him more Keen couldn’t help but voice her opinion. A smile flashed across her maw that was both pained and amused. “I would love to believe in that again Kreiger, but after so many different places to call home the idea loses its sparkle.” A slight pain and sadness showed through her mask and she let him see it. It was obvious now that he had never experienced anything quite like what she was enduring and so it was hard to take his words to heart. “Thank you for the attempt though.” And she clearly meant that.

It wasn't a glare or a stare at that. But he could feel the heat coming from her gaze. Her pure creamy brown orbs reflected like a mirror. Pools of lime green with spurts of yellow, exploding into a brilliant color. Krieger knew her words would be retaliation to what he would offer with simple advice. He wasn't the aggressive type, nor really dedicated to such a leisure. But she was a fellow warrior, at the a female. Sometimes he felt like it was his chivalry sides duty. “I would love to believe in that again Krieger, but after so many different places to call home the idea loses its sparkle.” Once again, correct. He was becoming a professional on reading their thoughts. Not realistically that is, but to his liking he could figure out most reactions. Unfortunately Krieger was right this time though, she didn't have that willingness to accept what was ahead of her. He flashed a smile, "Understandable." Keep her satisfied, he thought. “Thank you for the attempt though.” Appreciative, that was nice. Surely she was trying then. Trying to accept the fact that even though there was a rough past she could surpass anything. Their was wolves who ran most of this island who let their past rule their lives. Why let something in the past run the future? Surely there is some situations where it can't be helped but not most of the time. They were weak. Weak fools who figured, my life sucked, I'll make others life suck. Hence they felt the urge to kill others? To join these packs such as the Order which was their main priority within the Realm. In fact the war was around the corner. Krieger refocused on her, not having introducing themselves properly. But he kept in mind she hadn't given up to that weakness such as many other wolves, losing sight of what was good. Letting out a light exhaling laugh. He had a young and charming smile. "Forgive me, I'm Krieger Westen." He tilted his head to the side, aware her name was Keen. But there was more behind the name like everyone else. "I came to Traum for many reasons, but mostly because I'm a refugee. I can't return home, considering there's a warrant for my head." He said the words with a smirk. Hoping to not mock her, but in his view it was ridiculous. "Well thats all I have to say about that, but it must appear obvious I am more interested in your story?" It was an offering and a question. He sincerely wanted to listen, and figure the answer to this problem. He wasn't a problem solver actually, as a spy you often stir up shit most often. Yet all and all this was a different and more delicate situation. He was trying to be a friend.

A smile silence pursued the end of their conversation but Keen had never been one to avoid these moments. It gave time to think and to ponder what the other said. Anyone who would call them awkward was just not looking at the situation in the right light. He seemed to be doing the same and it gave her some comfort that they weren’t all together different in thought. This was an interesting concept to her as well. If they were more similar in action and mind set then maybe she wouldn’t feel so alone in this new place. Keen was a loner by nature but that didn’t mean she never wanted to talk to. Over her life she had had few friends its true, but each and every one of them she valued more than the hide on her back. Keen had never been one of those wolves who was overly protective of her friends and family. Not because she didn’t care but because she trusted them enough to be independent of her help. Many of her friends she had trained personally in the arts of combat; just like her father had trained her and so she could rest with peace of mind knowing they were fit for the outside world. A light laugh interrupted her thoughts. "Forgive me, I'm Krieger Westen." Since they had never spoken formally she was pleasantly surprised by the introduction. It was polite and made her feel almost like a lady. It was an odd feeling, one she had never experienced before. "I came to Traum for many reasons, but mostly because I'm a refugee. I can't return home, considering there's a warrant for my head." Kreiger smirked making it seem to her like she was supposed to take this as some great accomplishment. A smile and a twinkle in her eyes revealed otherwise. “Truthfully I’ve never considered myself a refugee when that happens. I always figured I was the one with a more developed mind than those who pursued me.” She has been wanted many times throughout her life, but refugee was a word she always saved for the wolves unable to provide for themselves so she never used it. "Well thats all I have to say about that, but it must appear obvious I am more interested in your story?" He was interested in what had made her what she is it seemed. Keen had to admit that was a first. No one ever cared what had made her the strong leader she had always been. Most of them only cared that she continue to be the same for the time they knew her, and others only bothered with her when she was able to get them out of trouble. Considering her situation she decided to oblige him. “Well you mine as well sit. This could take a while.” Placing herself down in the snow she sat tall and proud as always. With a conscious effort she removed the mask from her face so she wouldn’t have to elaborate too much on her story. It seemed he was quite apt at reading facial expressions so she mine as well let him do so. Meanwhile she would be studying his to see what he thought of her tale. “I grew up in a pack far far away from here. My father was the Alpha and my six brothers and sisters and I were the heirs to whatever he left us. He would train us every day in the arts of fighting, diplomacy, and leadership.” A happy smile came to her face. That was a time that she was carefree and didn’t have to worry about much. However soon her expression changed to one of pain as always when she recalled the next part. “Soon it was his time to pass on. As we were deciding who would follow in his footsteps my cousin Ull decided he would be a better heir than any of us seven. He started to kill us off in an assassin’s style one by one. Of course since usually the only witness died at his hands no one knew who was performing these despicable acts. Then he attacked my sister Liberty. She lived, barely, but was blinded from the ordeal. I, angered by his assault, set out to murder Ull. Since I was so enraged by his actions he stood no chance.” Keen held a smile of grim satisfaction on her face, knowing he got what he deserved. “Liberty and I were the only ones left once he had died and so being in good health I took my father’s throne. One day I couldn’t find my sister. I searched for her an what I found wasn’t pretty. She had killed herself by the beach. In the sand next to her was the words, ‘A maimed wolf if better off dead.’ “ A tear had slid down her cheek for her sister, but that was all. Keen had always been ashamed of her next actions but he had asked for all of it and so she would not skip this part. “She was my anchor and when she died my heart just split in two. I handed the rule of my pack over to a relative who I deamed worthy and I ran. I’ve never been proud of that, but this was my new beginning.” She paused. Here was his advice in black and white for the first time in her story and she wanted him to notice. “I acquired some land in this new place called Sobibor. It was small but beautiful. There were great evergreens growing everywhere and a small stream. At this place there was a slave market. I went and purchased a young black wolf with startling blue eyes. He was rambunctious and impulsive so many had turned away from his sale cage. I was not afraid.” Most wolves seemed to never have heard of the slave markets here and so she looked for his reaction, but didn’t say anything to sway his opinion of her. “I took him home in the hopes of training him to control himself and enough skills in fighting to be able to survive and make a living. Then I would have set him free. During his time with me I went back to the markets and purchased another slave. He was older, a killer and set on destroying whatever master brought him home. I took it as a challenge. Not many females were Alpha’s in this land so he was quite surprised when I bought him. I remember the first time he stepped out of his cage and dared to defy me on our way home.” A small laugh protruded from her lips. “I had acted as though to seduce him and then just as quickly pinned him to the ground with his life in my paws. He learned not to underestimate me based on my sex that day. He too I planned on teaching. He was a decent fighter though and so he would be learning some manners at my hands. Both of the slaves I had taken I planned on setting free. Then the plague struck and we had to scatter. As far as I know the younger of the too is dead.” Pain blinked in her eyes. Keen had wanted to do right by him but she had failed. “I didn’t know where the elder was for the longest time. I found a new piece of land and before I could even leave to find some pack members he found me. I cried right in front of him. I thought I had lost everything yet again. Of course I didn’t recapture him at that point. He was a free wolf and could do as he pleased but he decided to stay with me and I made him my Commander. Soon I acquired a frisky little female slave who, just like the young male I had owned need to learn some self control and discipline. Then she would be free. Freedom was a promise I always made to my slaves, but only once they were ready to live on their own.” Hesitant she looked at Kreiger. She had never told anyone the next small part of her story. It seemed insignificant to most but it was a big part of what shaped her and so she continued. “I started to have feelings for my Commander. It was a first for me in truth and so I didn’t know what to do with them. He never found out he was my first love before I left. Another wolf challenged me for my land and I did my best to hold onto it, but the challenger broke my wrist in the fight and then it was over. At the time my challenger had come I was a rebel leader. There was a war being started to free the slaves and since I knew of the cruelty of most masters in that land I soon joined the rebel side. My challenger was from the side of the Masters and when he bested me he held everyone in my land as a slave, including me. He had no kindness in his heart as I had with my own slaves and it tore me up to see them brutalized. As soon as my wrist healed enough to leave I snuck out. I couldn’t stay. With the grueling work he put me to my wrist would have never healed enough to challenge him again. I will never know how my Commander made out for a war was about to start when I left. It was of no loss to him when I left for I he had escaped before me and never knew of my love for him. I hope he lives still but I cannot say for sure.” It had been difficult for her to admit that part to him for she was running yet again. However she thought she had down right by herself for with the labor her challenger had pushed upon her she never would have healed. Not to mention the fact she thought he had an idea to breed her for heirs. Keen just managed not to gag at the thought. “I found a place called Epoque where I could settle down and rest. Soon though I moved on with my life and moved up in the ranks of my people. There were four species that settle here. Each had its own set of packs and one Royal who ruled over all. The Royal of my species was quite fond of me and we got along quite well. When he passed on with no heirs he named me the next Royal. My time there was quite peaceful truthfully. I was not of the species however and they began to detest me. Not that I had done anything wrong by them but they decided I was not a fit leader. I had been preparing for a war when they pushed me out of their land. I still do not know how they fared. I traveled quite far from my last home to end up here, but that is my story.” Keen watched for whatever reaction he had given her. It felt good to tell her story truth be told but it really didn’t change much of her outlook for the coming years. The sun had started to sink while she talked and it was becoming colder as night settled in. “I don’t expect you to understand most of my actions nor do I need you to change your stance on what I should do now. Now that you know what has made me who I am though, and you are the only one I know to be living that knows the whole story, I do hope you respect my decision for my future.” Keen stared at him as she had all those years as a leader. She knew she was not a leader now, but she felt this important enough to almost force some sort of decision of her request upon him. If he left from what he heard she would not be surprised. She also wouldn’t be depressed if he detested her for some of her decisions. At this point Keen almost expected denial.

There was a calm and serene feeling around them. The snow seemed to glow from beneath them. As the darkness of growing evening crept closer. The sunset was somewhere, but covered behind the winter skies. It was a strange feeling, but because it was such a different sight, it made it all the more interesting. “Truthfully I’ve never considered myself a refugee when that happens. I always figured I was the one with a more developed mind than those who pursued me.” She spoke of Refugees. Them being titled by someone else. Krieger gladly understood and made no comment. Refugee meant many things to many people. A run away, a weak fool, a beggar, a free loader, a thief or criminal. While Krieger was simply a wolf his old spy group burned. Or in other words, he knew to much and needed to be eliminated. “Well you mine as well sit. This could take a while.” His ears perked, a sign of relief flooded. Worrying she may feel obliged or not wanting to. Gladly accepting anything from a fellow warrior, it was her privacy. Some wolves didn't tell a soul about their past or their lives. It was something they felt was all they held personally. Which in some cases was true. But it made the web of ones personality, which Keen's was deeply tangled. Hearing her words about turn back and forth between happiness and sorrow. It sounded as if her life would have been well handled if it wasn't for jealousy stepping in as always. Listening to her sad story of revenge was hard to listen to at first. It explained a lot really, but Krieger kept a intrigued true expression on his face. Slightly shaking his had at the misfortunes of her past. She lost everything, it seemed. Keen tried hard to keep things held in, to hold back expressions. Krieger noticed immediately, but knew respectfully not to comment on such a tender subject. Like a wound that just isn't able to heal quite yet. Looking toward her as if trying to comfort her, listening and absorbing every other reaction that floated from her delicate shattered aura. “She was my anchor and when she died my heart just split in two. I handed the rule of my pack over to a relative who I deemed worthy and I ran. I’ve never been proud of that, but this was my new beginning.” That what it was then. He pondered those words for a moment. Anyone would feel strange back in they're mind about such a thing. She was a heir to a throne in other words, but eventually declined. It was something that would infuriate a power hungry type. But Krieger felt for her, having gone through so much. Needing to get away would seem the only reaction in his mind also. Words of gaining her own lands were enlightening. But buying of slaves and the mention of slave markets did throw him off honestly. In his eyes, slaves were wrong. He wasn't to judge though, living such different life styles. In fact he had once a case about freeing some slaves. All in all, Keen had made a redeeming statement. Training them for her own good, so in other words she was saving them in a sense. Krieger once again, respected that. While she told a story of lose, revenge, gain and love. He paid the closest attention to every word and feeling. Her words on falling in love and loosing that so quickly were touchy to him. Never had Krieger fallen for a Fae, he had his kindergarten crushes as a young brute. But he'd never settled, he felt a slight pang of perhaps jealousy. Shrugging whatever else was wandering in his mind to listen. But once more, she ended her long story with a sad ending of her regained high pack life being turned around in her face. He squinted at her for a moment, an a expression for apology. Even he knew she might not want his pity. He couldn't help but want to comfort her in his best ability right then. As she studied him now, for his reactions to such a long and complicating story. “I don’t expect you to understand most of my actions nor do I need you to change your stance on what I should do now. Now that you know what has made me who I am though, and you are the only one I know to be living that knows the whole story, I do hope you respect my decision for my future.” Nodding once, with eyes closed. Glancing back to meet her eyes. "I have a mild respect for every wolf, even those I have never met unless it is needed to be diminished otherwise. Your past intrigues me, and certainly does explain many things." He smiled at that, his words soft. "I am in no position to ever judge a independent wolf as yourself." Many things could be said, many things were perhaps needed to be said. Krieger felt he wasn't in place to speak out much more low advice that he held. His glimmering eyes hid for a moment, "I'm rather interested in what you will do in the future at that." He smirked, and he pictured a flash of quick light between their white and silver pelts. Eyes leisured over hazel colors, foolish Krieger. ooc; fail? I’m not the greatest with words. lol

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=000000] Watching Kreiger throughout her story Keen noticed he had the simple rise and fall of emotions that most have when being told a dramatic story. Fortunately though most of those stories are made up, where as this heart wrenching tale was ingrained deep into her heart. Never would she forget it and never would she lose the scars it put upon her soul. No one would ever come to feel the emotions as painstakingly real as she did when her story was told, and that was how it should be. Keen would never wish upon anyone that kind of pain. Most of her emotions she held under lock and key even at the most peaceful times of her existence and so they didn’t affect her as they would one that would wear these feelings on their sleeve as if they were a badge to show off. A look of pity crossed his face as she continued with her biography. It was never something she wanted but something she couldn’t avoid. Most wolves with any sort of living heart would feel bad for her at some point or another when they learned of her past. As long as they discarded the feeling when the learning was done Keen didn’t care. She wasn’t a pup anymore and needed no one to take care of her so the pity she got from others was unnecessary and a waste of time and emotion. After finishing with a small request Keen waited, almost anxiously, to see what he would say. For some reason she was nervous. No one had ever heard the whole bit of her past before and so it was almost inevitable that she would be rejected but she longed for acceptance. Keen had come to find that every one wished for acceptance in some small part of themselves, but only the select few could handle rejection. After so many bouts of being rejected Keen had steeled herself against most of its pang but the tinge of disappointment still lingered afterwards for her. Kreiger’s eyes were closed and she could tell he was thinking. This was most understandable for her past was quite a lot to take in. When his eyes opened again Keen was confronted with those big bright green orbs. They were just so fascinating! If she didn’t stare others in the eyes out of her leadership habits anyway he probably would have thought something was wrong with her. The colors dipped in and out and seemed just like a new spring jumping into summer. "I have a mild respect for every wolf, even those I have never met unless it is needed to be diminished otherwise. Your past intrigues me, and certainly does explain many things." A small smile flashed across his face and she couldn’t help but return it to him. Her smile though was toothless and just visible across her maw. "I am in no position to ever judge a independent wolf as yourself." The words were a mild form of acceptance but the meaning was there. Her heart leap for joy at this small form of praise offered up by someone she had just met. A sparkle of pleasure shown in her eyes and her tail threatened to tap on the ground in her happiness, but she quelled its energy and kept it still. "I'm rather interested in what you will do in the future at that." That last part of his response set a smile firmly upon her. He didn’t just accept her but he wouldn’t run off with his understanding either. Kreiger seemed to say that he would be a friend if she needed one. If she needed one, it always seemed she needed on these days. The most glorious thing about this situation though was that she didn’t have to ask him to be someone she could talk to he had asked. Keen was probably looking much farther into this than he had really intended but the exuberance that she felt at not being cast aside was just marvelous. No one had ever wanted to be around her unless she was in power and that was only to gain status. Keen knew the gratitude she felt could never be expressed through words. Looking him squarely in the eyes she let her eyes dance for him and show how happy she was. The smile already on her lips grew wider. Standing, she closed what little gap they had between them. Hesitantly she gave a small lick to his cheek, and pitching her voice for him alone said, “You’ll never know how much your words meant to me.” Then she passed him so that the excitement and nervous feeling she had in her could dissipate and her heart rate could return to something semi normal. Keen stopped and waited for him about five feet away. “It is getting late, should we find a place to bed down for the night?” Ooc: This last part made me laugh, Keen has never been one so impetuous but it seemed something she would do in this situation. I am quite curious to see what Kreiger thought!

A silent winter song whispered through the trees. Sleek and brutal, as the cold chill threatened to bring up the light dust like snow. The top layers weren't permanent. As Krieger slightly shifted in his spot, hearing the crunching from the packed snow. Although most of the snow around him and Keen was beginning to melt from their body heat alone. While darkness was still beginning to creep over the Realm. They continued their emotion search for each other. Eyes slicing back and forth to get hints of what was being thought up behind them. Krieger was a very accepting type of wolf. He was true to his words when he said he held full respect for all wolves before even meeting them until proven other wise. It was a code of being a spy at that, learning to trust those you must for a 'mission' or plot. Alas, Keen had finished her intriguing story. A story that filled in every piece of her personality. Krieger simply tilted his head to the side with a very accepting grin. What would she do next would surely be to his surprise, which he loved. He enjoyed surprises, like learning something new and interesting. Something to keep him on his toes, while in this growing dull world turning a dim red color... In a moment, Keen had gotten to her feet. Closing the space between them, within each others bubbles. The warmth of her body consumed his own. Surprised again, he thought. As she licked his face, he once again wasn't expecting it as she walked on with the fluent move. “You’ll never know how much your words meant to me." Her words lingered within his mind. He simply smiled. “It is getting late, should we find a place to bed down for the night?" Krieger had still been staring back where she once sat. Thick ears flicked back toward her direction. A kind smirk grew over his face as she was inviting him to bed. Krieger was merly male, and simply couldn't help himself in some circumstances. But with his training, and the thick skull of his he knew very well what his intentions were. But he had his surprises too. Lifting his lower body, leveled with the rest. He turned his head to her, slowly bringing around his body. A tad stiff from the harsh cold. "Very well," Soft and meaningful words flew with the winters wind. Matching paws basically leaped beside her. Hoping he was blocking most of the wind for her. He just then felt protective of her, even though she was probably more capable of protecting herself, plus she wouldn't want to hear such a thing, would she? They approached Krieger's current small cavern. Only time could tell what could come of them. Krieger silently wished hopeful things for Keen. As a smile lingered over that loving face of his. Flicking his tail happily, those green orbs moved to Keens. Coming closer to the mouth of the small cave, Krieger kept completely calm, but that big heart of his was thumping quickly. But he had no rash intentions in his innocent mind.
