[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=EE76EB] So, fermenting fruits, huh? That's what I was loosely on the mission to find at the moment. In my meeting with Dagonet a while back, I'd been informed of the broad talents of one of my comrades, and of what he possibly had to offer. But that offer didn't come without a price, and so I was searching for something that just might be of value to him. If I could find fermented fruits, perhaps he would give me equipment to carry my herbs. I did realize, though, that it may be best to run this by him first. When I'd met Bukowski, it had not been a social visit. No, instead I'd gone to him so he could brand my chest with the triskel, the sign that said 'I'm aligned to the Order, so back off'. I had not been informed then of the many things he was capable of. At the moment, I was just looking for a place in this wide forest that fruits grew. Then I'd have to find one that was fermented, which basically meant extremely ripe. It was rather early in the morning, though it was quite past dawn. I'd been performing my Cherokee ritual when the was sun climbing its way past the horizon, and after that I'd set off toward this forest. The general headquarters I kept was located in the heavily forested area around the Pool of Wisdom, where herbs were rich in quality. At this time of year the quanity was low, but I was hoping that it was only relative. I was eager for the Spring months to roll around, where there were herbs everywhere I looked. It would make my life immensely easier. As I wandered slowly through the tangle of undergrowth, I was keeping an eye not only on what the branches above held, but also the landscape around me for useful plants. So far I had not collected anything, but as I had stated before, the day was young. I had plenty of time left, and I had plenty of time to go at the pace I wished. There was the beauty of working alone; you had no one to report back to. True, I had a trainee at this point, though today wasn't one of the days we were going to meet up. That'd be tomorrow...I'd told her I had a few things to attend to, and I'd given her a general overview of what being a Medic was like. I'd told her that, if she wanted, she could find some soapstone on the coastline. Maybe I could get Bukowski to help me with molding that as well. Thinking of the new help I had changed the manner in which I held my mouth; the corners started to turn, though I wasn't full-out smiling. I was simply pleased with having somebody who would be help in the future; she wasn't much now, but after my training, hopefully she'd be somewhat equivalent to me. Of course, I could never be as great of a teacher as Attakulla was, but I damn could try. ooc:// I made this with the thoughts of Rokai in mind, though Rogue is also welcomed. Basically, this is for the Medic and the Medics in training. (: As always, though, it's open to any other Order member.

Rokai woke with a slow start. Yesterday, Josie had gone over the introduction of what being a Medic was like for the Order. Rokai knew it was going to be hard work, but she though she could manage just fine and Josie seemed friendly and open minded which was refreshing, because things with Dagonet were kinda on a sour note. She didn't want it to be that way, but Dagonet was so secretive and didn't seem to care about anything so it was hard to get anything out of him. It was probably the reason he didn't have a mate or a female friend yet, which was sad considering he was far from ugly, but rather attractive. Rokai decided not to give up on him yet, Rokai had a feeling he needs someone to always be there for him too even if he refused to believe it yet. Rokai sighed deeply taking in the cool air as she got to her paws and stretched. I need to find Josie and see if she needs help. She muttered to herself leaving the den where she was assigned to live. It was much nicer than her previous cave she lived in. She trotted out of the cave and went to find Josie. She was out of the cave because her scent was lead toward the forest. The dark brown female walked swiftly and quietly following Josie's scent. She found her looking for herbs. "Hello again, Jocessee."

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=EE76EB] It was still early in the day when I found company. I was falling into a satisfying routine; nearly everyday I found a new companion, and I was regularly meeting up with both Rokai and Rogue. Finally I felt as if this place was a home. Before it had been just a place, but as I met more souls, my own soul was soothed. I heard a greeting, along with my name, and I turned my face to see her approaching me from the side. Rokai was a rather young girl, barely out of the awkward stages of puphood, and it made me wonder what had brought her here. Most wolves her age wouldn't wander to a place that was centered around war; sometimes I myself wondered why I was here, and I was three. I still couldn't remember what led me to make the decision to swear loyalty to this organization, but it was pointless to dwell over it. I was decently happy here, and there was no getting out of it, anyhow. "Hello Rokai," I told her, a soft smile on my lips as I paused in my steps. My black and auburn ears shifted themselves to point toward her, to display that she had my attention. "I am pleased to see you here," I said cheerfully, and indeed, I was. I enjoyed any company. At the same time, I was trying to figure out what the lesson would be. I was trying to remember the very first things Attakulla had taught me, but in the end, I decided I'd just allow her to accompany me. We could both look for the fruits, and another mouth to carry them would be wonderful. Also, another set of eyes to search for any herbs--usually, flowering plants had medical uses, though that wasn't always the case--would be lovely. "I'm on my way to find some things called fermenting fruits. Ever heard of them?" I barely paused to allow her to respond. When I had someone that would even remotely listen to me, I'd just chatter away. It was my nature. "I caught word from Dagonet that he'd probably give me a basket in exchange for the fruits." Now, if I could just find some. "Care to tag along?"

"I don't know what fermenting fruits are, but that's why I'm here to learn from you." Rokai wagged her tail in delight and her green eyes sparkled when Josie invited her to go look for herbs with her until Dagonet was brought up in the conversation. I caught word from Dagonet that he'd probably give me a basket in exchange for the fruits. Rokai sighed, even if she wasn't with him, he presents was still was there. Of course, she didn't want to let Josie know that she knew very well who Dagonet was so she decided to play it like she only saw him once. "Of course, I'd love to come with you, Josie." She smiled, she glanced away from Josie when she brought up Dagonet. "Dagonet's the Rittmeister of the Order, right? I think I saw him the other day leaving the camp. He's very attractive. I'm surprised because he don't seem to have a special someone. What's he like, Josie? You seem to be friends with him." Rokai was shocked on how well she could do a poker face and talk about Dagonet so easily. Most of what she said about him was true, besides only seeing him in camp. Rokai liked him as friend but after their first meeting, she wasn't so sure now. Maybe if Josie would give her some clues about him than she could understand him better. OCC: I know this is going to be our herb hunting/bonding thread, but Rokai's very curious about Dagonet. xD

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=EE76EB] 'I don't know what fermenting fruits are, but that's why I'm here to learn from you.' A bright little chip, she was. I knew that she'd be a pretty decent companion, and I was looking forward to the long hours of discovery and work that we had ahead of us. Some may not take this position very seriously, but the ones who thought such things were ignorant. It took precious time and patience to look for the exact herb you needed, and sometimes that meant you had to roam the entire territory to find it; and even then you may fail! Each herb had different seasons, too, so it took many methods of memorization. Not only did you have to find the herbs, oftentimes you had to grind them or mix them together, which meant you needed the materials to do so....So you can understand where the complecation comes into play. "I think fermenting fruits are just overripe fruits. Of any kind, too, I'm assuming. I'm hoping that I'll be able to recognize the scent, though I haven't had much experience with this myself, so I'm not quite sure..." We'd figure it out, though, between the two of us. 'Of course, I'd love to come with you, Josie.' Her attitude made me all the more pleased. And then we got onto the topic of Dagonet; he hadn't been in my main thoughts, though I'd mentioned him in passing. I noticed when she latched onto it, though; yet when I examined her expression, I could not detect any special attitude there for him. I couldn't tell if I was making quick assumptions about things, or if she was geniunely curious about other members, just as I was when I was new. 'Dagonet's the Rittmeister of the Order, right? I think I saw him the other day leaving the camp. He's very attractive. I'm surprised because he don't seem to have a special someone. What's he like, Josie? You seem to be friends with him.' "Um, well, yeah, he's the Rittmeister." The word came strangely off my tongue. I was good with Cherokee words, and I was somewhat familiar with Mexican words, but Russian? Oh no, that accent was way out of my league. "And we are acquaintances, I suppose. Not especially close, but I have nothing against him, either." I peered closely at her, an unintentional, and slightly knowing, smile starting to form. "Do you like him?" And I emphasized the word 'like' so there would be no doubt that she would know what I meant. Even if I didn't particularly care for Dagonet as far as romance was concerned, gossip was gossip. To be in the know was far better than to be out. ooc:// Whoops, I phrased something wrong in my last post! I meant to say that, "I caught word from Dagonet that our blacksmith would probably give me a basket in exchange for the fruits." Sorry about that. But I'm definitely on board with this change of direction; Jocassee is a gossiper at heart, so she's gonna enjoy this. >:D

OCC: lol xD
Rokai casually looked back at Josie when the Medical Officer started answering her questions about what she asked about Dagonet. "Um, well, yeah, he's the Rittmeister." Okay, that I already know, but she didn't change her facial expression to show that she already knew that. Rokai was waiting for better information on him. "And we are acquaintances, I suppose. Not especially close, but I have nothing against him, either." Ah, so the Rittmeister goes talk to other members of the pack, which Rokai knew at the ranking he held, talking was a very important quality, so why didn't he talk to her? Rokai lowered her gaze to the forest ground for a brief moment. She was lost in her thoughts when Josie asked her another question. "Do you like him?" Wait, what did she just ask me? Rokai looked up to see Josie looking at her like a giggling school girl. Rokai rolled her eyes. "Josie, Dagonet's very handsome male, but I don't know him so it's impossiable for me to answer that. Plus, even if I did its not like someone like him would care to notice someone like me." Rokai smiled at her joke. Rokai decided to change the subject back to herbs, before she said to much. "I think fermenting fruits are just overripe fruits. Of any kind, too, I'm assuming. I'm hoping that I'll be able to recognize the scent, though I haven't had much experience with this myself, so I'm not quite sure..." Rokai nodded when Josie told her of what she thought fermenting fruits are."That can't be to hard to find, so what fruits do you think grow around here in winter?" Rokai asked Josie, because after all that's why those two were out there.

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=EE76EB] She just looked away after I gave my relations with Dagonet; which was nothing more than a weak bond. We were comrades, and that was as far as our relationship extended. But I was coming to the assumption that this girl wished for more; of course, I could be way of the mark, but what would inquiring hurt? Rokai's response was to simply roll her eyes, instantly dismissing the playful accussion. Oh, we were going to go down that route? That was okay, because I myself had denied these things before. i'd probably let up on her for the moment, but there would be no doubt that I'd store this away, ready to pounce on later. 'Josie, Dagonet's very handsome male, but I don't know him so it's impossiable for me to answer that. Plus, even if I did its not like someone like him would care to notice someone like me.' Oh, but I definitely had a response to this one, and I couldn't keep my mouth shut on it. "You don't have to know someone very well to have a crush on 'em. Believe me." How many times had I gone head over heels over a guy I didn't know very well? I based many things on looks, the personality tagging along after. "Also, don't down on yourself, girl. You're much prettier than most of the girls around here." Okay, not prettier than me. I had a big ego, and it overruled 99 percent of the time. Regardless! She had a rich coloring on her, and a nice body type. I wouldn't think that any guy would turn her down if she gave them attention, but she needed better confidence than that. 'That can't be to hard to find, so what fruits do you think grow around here in winter?' Suddenly, it occurred to me. A few weeks ago, Dagonet and I had traveled together to look for the Red Buckeye while on the way to the stream. I had stood there and looked up at the fruits, the fruits that I figured would provide the perfect chance to snag some fermented fruits. Somehow, I'd forgotten all about it until right now. "Actually, I have the perfect idea. This way." I changed my step, directing us in another direction. On the way, I hoped there would be another herb for us to find and to go over, and we could also talk more of her little situation. Surely there was a situation, right?

Deep down Rokai had a feeling Josie wasn't going to let the comment on Dagonet go. Rokai laughed quietly out loud at how persistent Josie really was. "You don't have to know someone very well to have a crush on 'em. Believe me." Rokai knew that was true, but there was something about Dagonet that made this whole situation different for Rokai. He wasn't just some random wolf in the pack, he somewhat befriended Rokai. Plus, the whole point of having a crush on someone was to admire them from afar but Rokai had other plans on her mind. She was just about to comment back when Josie added on to her conversation, making Rokai stay quiet. "Also, don't down on yourself, girl. You're much prettier than most of the girls around here." All Rokai could do was give a small shrug. She never thought she was ugly, because she wasn't, but she wasn't a fabulous beauty like Josie, who was very beautiful. "Do you think age could stop someone from finding love? Like do you think age should matter if you really care for someone." She asked because mostly everyone in the Order was older than she was, even Dagonet was older. She let out a small sigh, becoming quiet and spaced out. Rokai was actually relieved when Josie told her to follow her and she did so obediently without question.[/blockquote]

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=EE76EB] Rokai seemed to be musing over what I had said, for she stayed quiet. I babbled on, giving my take on crushes and her appearance. She didn't do anything more than shrug; maybe she was attempting to take the compliment in stride, without making a fuss over it. I knew some girls who wouldn't take a compliment at all, and others lived off them. I considered myself the latter, and never would I contradict anyone who complimented me. We changed direction, and she obliged without asking where we were going. She continued to stay silent; she was probably thinking of the things I'd planted into her head. I smirked at that thought, turning my face away from her so she wouldn't see it. My eyes wondered up to the trees, as if I were thoughtful. I was just waiting for her to say whatever she had on her mind, and that's exactly what she did. 'Do you think age could stop someone from finding love? Like do you think age should matter if you really care for someone.' Ah, so she indeed had a love interest. I still thought it was Dagonet, but maybe it was some other wolf. I wanted to know, though, and immediately. I turned my face back to her, though I knew it would take some cautious prying. "Psh, do you think love knows age?" My former smirk twisted into a playful grin. "Of course, it'd be rather strange if an elder claimed he loved a pup. But otherwise, age shouldn't matter." No, not with love. Maybe not even lust; but maybe that was my own personal viewpoint. "You're young, but don't let that stop you. Just be more confident with yourself." I almost asked again who she'd taken to, but I bit my tongue at the last second. No, not yet. If I pushed too much, she'd close up and there'd be no way I'd get anything. Going slow was the key. ooc:// I'm not sure it's my best. But at least I finally got something up. :D

OCC: It's fine, Sunny. I'm glad your back. :) Rokai didn't know where they were going and didn't really care, but she had a feeling the destination want that important anyways. She was having a rather nice bonding moment with Josie and she didn't want to ruin it by staying quiet. "Psh, do you think love knows age," Rokai heard Josie start to respond to the question that she previously asked her mentor. "Of course, it's be rather strange if an elder claimed he loved a pup. But, otherwise, age shouldn't matter." Rokai nodded slowly. Josie did have a good point. Age shouldn't matter i you really loved someone. Dagonet would make a fine mate for anyone in the Order, but a part of her was unsure if he would be her prefect match. She shot a glance at Josie was sporting a playful grin. She was definitely up to something. Rokai let out a small laugh. "You're young, but don't let that stop you. Just be more confident with yourself." Rokai eyed Josie very carefully, it looked like Josie had more to say on the matter, but she decided against it. I bet she's wondering who I fancy, I bet she's trying to guess who it is right now. "I am young, but I do have my sights set on someone. It's not set in stone or anything..." She muttered before she continued. "It's just to bad he isn't in the Order."[/blockquote]
