The murky waters sloshed up against his creamy underbelly, and the slow currents pushed against his columns. He wasn't worried about being swept away because he was sure footed enough. Those honey suckle chasms glanced about the terrain as he took in every last detail. The foliage was slightly over grown, and the trees canopy towered over head. Little dots of sunlight filtered through the green canopy, and danced upon his white back. Normally, he was gray, but in the winter his coat tended to lighten up, causing him to be nearly white. His long, lean muzzle held a smirk on his face that curled up at the corners, and seemed to make him look almost demonic.
It'd been a while since he had last come across another lupine, and quite honestly, he was looking forward to it. Slowly the male moved forward in slow cat-like movements. Each muscle moved his lean frame forward. Each muscle working like clock-work. With each step he drew closer to the heart of the swamps. Where was he going? He didn't know. Did he care? No, he didn't. His tail was held slightly up so no one would take him lightly. He was a brilliant fighter when he had to be. It wasn't often you would see this brute in a fight, but when he was it was probably because he had opened his mouth, and caused a dispute. Those were always fun. Yet, there were times when his mouth had gotten him in real trouble. Just above his right eyebrow was a scar. But, that was a story for a different time.
A branch snapped, and it sent Divide into a frenzy. He spun around toward the sound, the fur on the back of his neck raising to sharp points. His ivories snapped the air once, and a slight growl was heard as warning. He didn't like creatures sneaking up on him. Taking a few cautious steps forward, he finally chose to speak. Are you friend, or foe?
His robust lyrics filled the atmosphere around them, the wind catching them and carrying them to the audits of the intruder. That's where Divide stood, tense, and ready for anything. Well, almost anything.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,310,true] | [atrb=background,http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac192/fireb4ashes/Deirdre---MIDDLE.png] Silence, the only noises to be heard were the stream, and that cream brute sloshing through it. Her black and brown mottled pelt faded into the background, but her dazzling blue eyes stuck out, but so far, they had remained unnoticed. Perhaps they just looked like the mottled feathers of a bird of some strange type. She had no idea, all that she knew was that they were her eyes.
Stealth was something slightly new to this she-wolf, sure, she could pull it off, but not usually for this long. She was the wolf that you saw put into the battle as the ‘weapon’ or at least, that was how things were at her old home, if you could call it that. Her teeth bared as she hit her foot up against a rather sharp rock. Pausing, she lifted her right forepaw to find it bleeding from a gash on the toes.
Swiping her tongue over it quickly, she dropped her paw back down to the ground and headed on her way again, still following the male. He was an interesting fellow, definitely, but she was not looking at him in that sense. Just simply looking for some minds to toy with, it was something she so loved doing.
The branch snapped beneath Deirdre’s foot, and she saw the wolf she had been stalking for quite some time whirl around, going into quite the frenzy. She quickly darted forward, so she was in front of the wolf, and she heard him utter, ”Are you friend or foe?” She stepped out from in front of him, her pointed black ears swiveled in his direction, and her blue eyes fixated on his.
”It depends, do you want me to be friend, or do you want me to be foe?” A pending member of the Order, she was very evasive with the information that she gave out to strange wolves, lest they be part of the alliance that three of the other packs upon Traum had formed in resistance against The Revolt and The Order. But the Order would prevail, with Dragunov as their leader nothing could stop them.
She scrutinized the pale cream wolf, stepping closer, her guard obviously very high as her lips slowly pulled back from her lips, judging the muscles beneath the pale sea of fur, and judging what they were going to do next. Was he going to attack? Or would he be docile and stay where he was? She began to move in a circular motion to him, so she could catch every move he made. This was part of her training. Never, ever let yourself be caught off-guard by a wolf you were following. You would end up dead.
Despite the fact that he now knew of her presence, she would still abide by that rule. She was not about to end up having to go back to Dragunov, torn up by some weakling rouge, or pack member for that matter, and explain to him exactly why one of his wolves had gotten injured on their time out.

”It depends, do you want me to be friend, or do you want me to be foe?”
The females lyrics entered his audits, and instantly his ebony lips pulled back to reveal sharp ivories. He wouldn't use they however, unless she provoked him. Those honey suckle orbs watched her as she traveled in a circular motion around him, seeming to sum him up. His muscles tensed, and louder growl escaped his vocals. He wasn't looking for any trouble, but if this female continued to circle him like he was prey he wasn't sure it was going to turn out good for any one. He turned with her, keeping no point of his body exposed to the female. A look of uncertainty passed through his orbs, simply for the fact that he didn't know if he wanted to attack her, or make peace. With her evasive answer he gave a grunt. I'm certainly not looking to cause any trouble, miss. When I feel threatened, I tend to get on the defensive. I'm sorry if it insults you.
Sarcasm was something that came naturally to him. He couldn't help it. It was also one of the reasons he tended to get into a lot of unwanted trouble. Still, it was something the brute couldn't help. With each move she took Divide matched it still, his muscles flexing easily with each movement. The intensity of the meeting seemed to stop the world around them. The forest seemed to catch it breath, waiting to see if the male would attack the female. He had a quick eye, and would easily be able to defend himself if she lunged for him. I'd prefer you to be friend, but foe works just as well. Now, if you don't mind, you could start by telling me why you were following me.
Was he always this demanding? For being a Rogue, it seemed some what futile to try and demand something from a pack wolf, but he didn't care. There was a quality in him that would make for a great pack wolf one day, but he wasn't ready for the commitment. The very reason he preferred to play females rather than settle down. Speaking his share he fell silent once more, those honey suckle optics never leaving her stalking form.

Deirdre let out a snort, this little scrap thought he could scare her with his growling. Not hardly. The fact that he was turning with her, was at least a sign that he was not about to pull something sneaky. Like letting her lunge, at his open side, then swing ‘round and give her a kick in the face like her brothers did so often when she lived back home.
She let out a growl in return, making sure to shield her stomach from the brute, lest he decide to attack. She was not planning on attacking him, she did not dare endanger the pups, but she had to get out. ” I'm certainly not looking to cause any trouble, miss. When I feel threatened, I tend to get on the defensive. I'm sorry if it insults you.”
She did not respond to his comment, she still circled him, covering her belly carefully. Her ears were pinned back, making her look like quite the defensive mother. I'd prefer you to be friend, but foe works just as well. Now, if you don't mind, you could start by telling me why you were following me.” She growled a short reply, ”I do not answer to you. Do not be so demanding. You do not know where I come from.”
She knew she should had not left camp, but she needed to escape, and she knew that Xenios would probably be angry with her, and he had every right to be so, but she could not stand being cooped up for so long. She just wished she had not been caught. She had not really been stalking him intentionally, but just so she would not be seen and attacked. Which she knew now, had been foolish, but it was the only precaution she could think of at the time.
She stopped her circling and studied the wolf a bit more closely, the motion she had been making, to protect herself and her pups, had been making it difficult to watch him so closely. ”Under what pack are you allied with?” She demanded sharply.

”I do not answer to you. Do not be so demanding. You do not know where I come from.”
As her lyrics entered his audits a chuckle escaped into the atmosphere. Now she was going to get it. Ah, I see. Yet, then again, you don't know where I came from, sweetheart. Don't be a hypocrite. He didn't mean anything by the way he called her sweetheart. It was just his speech pattern, and if she didn't like it she could suck it up, or leave. Still, she circled him, and Divide had fixed her with an amused gaze. Apparently, he was the type of wolf to play with some one rather than make friends with them. At this point, he didn't think she was going to attack him, but while she was still circling him he followed her with his orbs. He shook his head once she stopped circling him, yet he stopped right in front of her so they could see each other, and watch them.
Either she wasn't showing yet, or Divide just wasn't paying attention, but he had no idea the reason she was being so hostile at the moment was because she was expecting. His honey suckle orbs glanced over her once more as he studied her, and then returned back to her face. ”Under what pack are you allied with?”
He snorted sharply as if it was the most stupid thing to ask him in the world. A chuckle slipped from in-between his ivories, and he had to shake his crown once more. I'm not a pack wolf, sweetheart. I don't like commitment. He answered, tilting his head to the side. Yet, what does that have to do with anything? Who are you? What pack are you allied with? You don't have to be so demanding, doll face. Now, if she told him her name he would be more apt to call her by her name, yet he knew not what her calling was. So, what else was he supposed to call her? Bitch? For some reason, he didn't think this would go over so well with her. Because he was sure she would ask him for this next piece of information he gave it to her anyways.
My names Divide. He added, and dipped his crown in a subtle greeting, before fixing her with his honey suckle optics once more.

”Ah, I see. Yet, then again, you do not know where I came from, sweetheart. Do not be a hypocrite.” Her ears flattened even further, and her muscles tensed in pure irritation. ”Watch your tone, brute.” She had no patience today, and she was being extraordinarily protective of herself, and her pack…and her Xenios, for that matter. She reveled in his insanity. She did not know why, but it was right. She loved it. Schizophrenia, narcissism and all.
Snapping herself back into the present, she looked back to Divide. ”I’m not a pack wolf, sweetheart. I don’t like commitment. Yet, what does that have to do with anything? Who are you? What pack are you allied with? You don’t have to be so demanding, doll face.”
”Do not call me ‘doll face’ you barbarian.” She snapped, his soft-spoken pet names getting a rise out of her. She was not showing much, no, but still. It was enough that a wolf with a keen eye could notice. But she would allow him an answer. ”I am Deirdre, of the Order, Divide.” She said his name with a slight snarl, but so far, everything she had uttered had been tinged with one.
She studied the wolf carefully as he bowed his head to her, and she dipped hers very slightly in return, but dared not to lower her eyes. She did not trust any strange wolf, and at the moment, there were very few non-strange wolves that she trusted either. She knew her pack would not harm her, but it was just a knee-jerk reaction that came with being who she was.

”Watch your tone, brute.”
Ohhhh. She was really scaring Divide now. Not really. Her threat had only caused an amused chuckle to escape his maw. The pet names were not really pet names, they were just things he used when talking to a fey. From the looks of it, now that he studied her closely she looked to be expecting. Yet, he didn't say anything about it. Hmm...and if I don't? He mused, tilting his crown to the side. He was a very confusing wolf, to be sure. Yet, you couldn't blame him. Conversation didn't come easily to him. She, however, was reacting quite calm for how most fey's would react to him. By now, he would have either been slapped, attacked, or cussed out. So far, all he's gotten out of her is idle threats. She wouldn't do anything to him, especially if she had a lover, and pups. She was only trying to protect herself, and her pups. Now he felt the need to calm her down. Just because he wasn't looking to make enemies.
”Do not call me ‘doll face’ you barbarian.” He couldn't help the smirk that curled up at the corners of his mouth, although he was trying to make amends, and be civil. This would be hard. Sorry, sweetheart. Guess you don't much like the pet names? Ahh, but you wouldn't, would you? He didn't say the words he was thinking, but the tone he held would be enough for her to figure it out. Of course he figured out she was with pups. He might have been oblivious to it at first, but the slight rounded tummy she had gave it away. No, he wasn't trying to be a jerk right now. It just came naturally. ”I am Deirdre, of the Order, Divide.”
The slight snarl at the end of his name was enough to make him look her over once again. At least she allowed a slight dip of her maw, but other than that, there was nothing. God, she was bitchy today. He took a deep breath, and said I don't mean to be a douche, sweetheart. The pet names mean nothing at all. He muttered, his optics never leaving her gaze. It was almost as if they were having a stare down, and if one of them looked away it'd mean sudden death. I'm not a barbarian, however. I'm actually quite civil. He added. God, Divide! What's with you and your snide remarks?

”Hmm…and if I don’t?” This wolf was really just looking for an excuse to piss her off, wasn’t he? Her ears pinned back and she took a threatening step forward, her muscles bunching underneath the blacks and browns of her pelt. He thought she would do nothing to him; that much was clear in his eyes. But she would, most certainly. Her claws dug into the dirt and her eyes flashed violently, her lips pulled back to reveal pinkish gums and pearly white teeth, the tips stained yellow from all the flesh she ate.
The smirk that came across his face was ridiculous, and she felt the need to cuff him about the ears, despite the fact that it was obvious that he was trying to make amends, he was doing very poorly. ”Sorry, sweetheart. Guess you don’t much like the pet names? Ahh, but you wouldn’t would you?” A micro-expression of confusion twitched across her face before she wiped it away, much too quick for most to catch. ”You do not speak your mind, but your tone deceives you, what does it matter to you what goes on in my private life?” She snapped, the claws of her right forefoot kneading the dirt irritably.
”I don’t mean to be a douche, sweetheart. The pet names mean nothing at all.” He obviously thought she was in a sour mood, ”This is how I normally am, thank you.” She said, her eyes still glowing dangerously, they never left his eyes, as his never left hers. ”I’m not a barbarian, however. I’m actually quite civil.” She scoffed, suppressing an eye roll. ”If that is really so, you do a poor job at showing it.”
