This world will never be, what I expected. and if I don't belong, who would have guessed it? I will not leave alone, everything that I own. To make you feel like, it's not too late. It's never too late.
Even if I say, It'll be alright. Still I hear you say, you want to end your life. Now and again we try to just stay alive. Maybe we'll turn it around because it's not too late. It's never too late. The chilly air of the mountain tops caused chills to run up and down the lupines back. He was out just when the first sliver of sunlight peek out from behind the horizon. Brilliant splashes of pink, orange, and even light blue were painted across the heavens as if the angels had placed their canvas in the sky. It was a beautiful sight to see to say the least. Divide found himself inhaling a deep breath of air, and slowly exhaling it. He was able to see his breath. He shook his white pelt clear of any debris he might have picked up while picking his path through the over-grown foliage of nature. Normally, he would have a light gray tint in his fur that dominated most of his back, but it was winter. And in winter, his fur turned a pure white color. A creamy color masked his face from his muzzle to his eyebrows, and the same color was seen on his fluffy underbelly. His tail was bushy, and seemed some what unmanageable, and wild, but that was just the trade of the game. Seeing that the day was already set in motion, and the night had already passed he decided he was going to venture further into the Mountain Ranges.
His muscles set into a working motion that moved his masculine frame forward. His columns moved at a brisk trot through the evergreen, and the sunlight filtered through the dense leaves to leave dotted patterns splashed across his coat. Honey suckle optics glanced about as he looked for any other living critters that might be up and about. Right about now a small family of quail ran across his path, and he stopped to count them. one, two, three, four, five, six... He tilted his head as some rustling in the bushes were heard. He peered toward them, and to his surprise one more tiny bird came flying from the foliage, and scurried to catch up with his mother. seven.
His dark, robust chuckle was heard echoing through-out the ranges, and without a second delay he moved forward once more. He didn't know what he was looking for, but he knew today was going to be one hell of a day. He just had that aching in his bones that told him to be on the look out. He was feeling good today, so he set forward into an easy lope. The low hanging branches of trees slapped lightly against his pelt as he wound his way toward the small pond. Small leaves were left behind on his pelt, but he couldn't really complain. He liked the dirt, and that was a fact. As he reached the crystalline surface he lowered his dome to the water, and was about to lap up some of it when his reflection caught his eye. The scar just above his right eyebrow caught his attention first. The silky, pale skin was easily seen. A fatal reminder to the trouble he caused. A growl emitted from his vocal cords, and with a brisk movement he shattered the waters calm constitution with the touch of a paw. Shaking his dome, he lowered his head to the water, and lapped up some of the liquid, not daring to look into the surface. He couldn't bare to see the ugly thing it held.
Himself. [/blockquote]

It seemed like only yesterday that the weather was much warmer and the sun lasted longer in the sky. Now the heavens almost every day seemed to have a lingering darkness to them. Threatening to spill the snow that they held. The once green earth now had a white glow to it and standing in one spot for too long could easily become uncomfortable to the bottoms of soft pads. This winter season was one that seemed to be looking to break records. The blistery weather made it almost unbearable at times. When the wind would pick up it would whip against the face with such vigor that it almost stung like it was fire. Today, however, it seemed the winds were not as menacing as other days. There was an actual stillness that the earth had not seen in almost a week. Nice change actually.
Not all the land was soaked with white. There was a firey bodice on the move. The colours of her pelt seemed to dance off the earth and reflect making it look like the snow itself was ablaze. In all the fire, there were twin blue pools that seemed to almost cool down the rest of the femme's bodice. She had not been in these lands for a long stay but it seemed to be a place she would be interested in for the time being. The stink of her father almost consumed the land. It had drawn her here.
Her eyes squinted slightly as a breeze picked up past her nares. There was the lingering scent of another wolf on the move. It was one that she had not yet come across since she had arrived. Nor had this scent traveled far. He must be new as well... she mused to herself thinking over whether or not she should approach this unknown male or not. This flamed temptress was not one that feared others easily. She was born into the wretched world of a loner and had survived that way for all the seasons she had walked the earth. Turning her head to where the scent tracked from, she thought hard about it for a moment. It had been a few weeks since the last time she had come in contact with another. The last had been another female. One that had the stench of her father on her. It made her sick thinking about it. A sigh escaped her lips as she turned her body the way her head had been turned.
She had made up her mind. Once more, she was on the move. Drawing closer and closer to the stranger. She found him alone near the water's edge. Her brow lifted slightly as she studied him. With his white coat he could have easily blended in with the surrounding lands but his scent was an obvious thing to her. Taking a step forward she spoke. "Ello there sir brute." she said breaking the silence. She dipped her maw towards him in greeting. Though she did not take her eyes off him. He was an unknown after all. He could easily be a threat though she was not afraid. She was a fighter after all. "Why do you travel alone?" she questioned trying to start some sort of conversation.

Her lyrics had come as a surprise to him. An audit flicked back to pick up the words that traveled on the wind, and he turned abruptly to face her. He took his time to answer her, however. Honey suckle eyes with gold specks darted over her figure, taking in her fiery pelt as if she were the first wolf he had ever seen aflame. His hackles were raised, yet he didn't show his ivories, nor did he growl. He took a few steps from the waters edge because he didn't like the idea of being backed to the surface. It made him feel trapped, and that was something he found very unpleasant. He considered her lyrics. Why did he travel alone? He really didn't know. Without speaking yet he declined his crown as well, greeting the female. He remained docile enough, but his guard was up. Why should he lower his guard for a femme? She was strong, and capable of inflicting damage to him. He had learned long ago that you should never under estimate your enemies. Or friends for that matter.
Greetings, miss. Were the first, and only lyrics to slip from his maw for the time being. He was still deciding on if he could trust this female or not. He could tell she was trying to strike up a conversation, but he wasn't a wolf to converse with others very often. It was one of the very reasons he chose to stay a loner when he came to the lands. There were plenty of packs he could chose, and do well in, except for the fact of conversing. Finally, when the silence began weighing on them heavily he chose to answer. I travel alone because I don't get along with others very well. It was true. You either liked him, or you hated his guts. There was no in-between, or sorta about it. It was one, or the other. If he didn't like you, then he would tell you flat out. Most of the time, it wasn't in the nicest, or friendliest ways either. I guess most don't want to put the time, or effort into befriending me. He offered a slight grin that was seen on his whole constitution, but it quickly faded away.
Should he leave it at that? He could ask her a question. He tilted his head to the side as his muscles relaxed, and he saw that she wasn't going to attack him. Just yet. What about you? Why do you travel alone? He queried, his dark lyrics filling the atmosphere once again. [/blockquote]

Icy pools watched the snow soaked brute carefully as he turned around. Out of instinct, she dug her onyx talons into the earth beneath her when she saw his hackles raise. Though there was no growl emitted from the male's vocals. Her brow raised slightly at this. Hostile yet not. She did not know how to completely react to this. It seemed a silence fell between them for but a moment giving her enough time to take in this stranger. He was a rouge, clearly. The scar above his brow made her think he had been in fights before. She made a mental note of that. He was also larger than herself. Her frame was small and lean giving her speed and agility but if this male opted into a physical confrontation it could be deadly for her if he ever were to get a hold of her.
She snapped out of thought as his lyrics echoed through her ears. They twitched slightly at the noise. His voice was deep but there was no threatening tone there. Perhaps this would be a civil meeting at least. A smile traced her fine features as she watched him dip his maw in reply. As he continued with his reply, she listened closely. Her tail flicked back and forth for a moment. Seemingly having a mind of its own. As he finished speaking she tilted her head only slightly to the side. "Seems like many wolves these days are rather stand off-ish towards those that they do not know," she stated looking into his orbs. "Many are not kind to others that do not belong to their pack lands." It was true after all. She had wandered around for years. Many packs did not even give her a second thought before chasing her off.
Another, seemingly, long pause fell between them. Only the sound of the water movement could be heard. It was gentle and calming. Her eyes moved to view the water for only a moment. It looked clean and cool. One of the few small areas of water that had yet to be taken by the icy grasp of winter. Once more, she moved her gaze to the unknown brute that stood before her as his voice broke the silence once more. Yet another smile spread on her lips. "I travel in search of the bastard known as Fenris Fenrir," she replied shortly. "I have thought about settling into a pack but alas there are none that have either accepted me or could keep my interest long enough for me to stick around," she added. Then she went quiet for a moment. A thought danced through her mind and her ears perked up straight. "Where are my manners? My dubbing is Firki... May I learn yours dear brute?" she questioned.

"Seems like many wolves these days are rather stand off-ish towards those that they do not know," A pause, and she made eye contact with him. "Many are not kind to others that do not belong to their pack lands."
Divide found himself nodding in agreement, her lyrics ringing true. Of course. If some one doesn't like you because your different, they're going to make sure you know it. Many will look down on your for how you talk, or act, or your personality. Divide knew this for a fact, and that's why he chose to be alone. Much less drama. All there was for him to deal with was himself, the past, and the road he chose to travel. It was easier that way. Not a glamorous life style, I'm sure, but it was the path he chose to take. Of course, sweetheart. It's a matter of security. If your different, you pose a threat. If you pose a threat, your either chased away or killed. Divide could count several times a wolf had been killed for being on terra they didn't belong on. He saw her smile, and he returned the smile with a wolf-ish half smile.
"I travel in search of the bastard known as Fenris Fenrir," That was a short response. Apparently, she didn't want to talk about it. Which was okay with him, yet the sharp words had caught his attention. He tilted his head to the side slightly, his optics trained on her. "I have thought about settling into a pack but alas there are none that have either accepted me or could keep my interest long enough for me to stick around," Ah. So she did have a wish to find a pack? Divide wished he had a reason to join a pack but alas, he did not. In fact, commitment scared the shit out of him. He wasn't sure why, but it was the god honest truth. Ah. I see. Joining a pack would be nice because you've got others to watch your back. Your not always looking over your shoulder to check if your going to get mauled by some enemy," He paused, and diverted his gaze as he spoke again. But, I couldn't find a pack that would want to put up with a smart ass like myself. Plus, commitment really isn't my thing, sweetheart."
Okay, lemme explain why he calls her sweetheart. He isn't trying to be rude, it's just how he speaks. It's how he's always spoken, and besides, it seemed fitting to call her that because he didn't know what else to call her. Sure, he could call her miss, but where the fun in that? He could also call her bitch, but that simply wouldn't do because it would only angry her, and she's been nothing but kind to him. He tilted his head thoughtfully for a moment, and nearly missed her name. "Where are my manners? My dubbing is Firki... May I learn yours dear brute?" He snapped out of it, and had to think about her words to put two and two together. Firki? He thought.
Firki, He tested the word out on his tongue, playing around with it a little at first before dipping his maw for formality's sake. It's truly a pleasure to meet you, Firki. He inclined his head, and allowed a smile to curl up at the corners of his maw. My calling is Divide, sweetheart. Again with the sweetheart.

Her audits twitched slightly at the first time he called her sweetheart. The last brute to do such a foolish thing ended up with a nice chunk taken out of him but there had been other reasons why she had done what she did. She mentally shrugged the pet name off for the time being. It did not seem that he was using that calling as an insult or anything long those lines. Instead, she continued to listen to what he had to say. It was true. For being predators, wolves were actually, for the most part, cowards. How on earth could a pack expand if they did not take risks to let those loners that wished to join into their lands? Foolish alphas in fear of change. No wonder why packs came and went with the changing of the seasons. A small laugh bubbled up from her vocals. "I would prefer to be different than those that follow an alpha blindly. I am not one to take orders all that well..." she stated with a smirk setting on her maw.
She was glad that he did not pry into talking about Fenris Fenrir. It was not a subject she liked speaking freely about to those that she had just come into meeting. It was none of their damn business after all. But the question had been asked and Firki had always been one to speak with honesty. It was a simple trait that she had had passed down to her. That along with many things. As the brute continued to speak, her tail flicked out of irritation. He had read into her reasons for not joining a pack wrong. She did not seek out a pack for protection, after all she could protect herself. "In all honesty, I think if another hides themselves in a pack land it is because they cannot survive on their own. Or at least are too much of a chicken shit to do so. The only reason why I would ever consider joining a pack for an extended time would be because I am done with what I have to be done with. Or I find someone that is actually worth me settling down," she stated with a matter of fact tone in her cords. Firki had never been with another. There had been no point. She had better things to do then to be under the paw of a brute. She could handle herself with out anyone's protection. "I think most true loners have some sort of commitment issue in all honesty..." she added thinking about it as she spoke.
Then there was another pause after she had given him her dubbing. She listened to him trying out her name. It seemed that most liked to do so. She was most interested in learning his name so he was not as much of a stranger anymore. And then she would have something to actually call him by. A smirk was now still set on her features as he spoke his name. "Divide, eh? Pleasure to meet you. So if you are not looking for a pack to call your own... How did you find your way to these lands?" she questioned with a slight curiosity in her tone.

"I would prefer to be different than those that follow an alpha blindly. I am not one to take orders all that well..."
Divide knew this all too well. He didn't take orders very well. I would never last very long in a pack. I don't take orders, and I tend to speak my mind. Apparently, you aren't allowed to do that. I've sen wolves killed for speaking out against the alpha. I think it's the stupidest thing for mother nature to put into the minds of wolves. He shook his head in disgust, a frown taking the place of the smirk on his features. He had miscalculated what she had been saying about her reasons for joining a pack. He looked up just in time to see her tail flicking out of annoyance. He tilted his head to the side, his audits tilting to the side out of puzzlement. So, he said something wrong then. "In all honesty, I think if another hides themselves in a pack land it is because they cannot survive on their own. Or at least are too much of a chicken shit to do so. The only reason why I would ever consider joining a pack for an extended time would be because I am done with what I have to be done with. Or I find someone that is actually worth me settling down," There was a pause before she had added "I think most true loners have some sort of commitment issue in all honesty..." she added thinking about it as she spoke.
Divide rolled his shoulders, flexing the muscles in them when she had mentioned settling down. Settling down was always a bad idea. His mother and father were a living proof. Committing your self to some one always ended up in you getting hurt. Which is why he preferred to go from fae to fae. sure, he ended up breaking hearts, but what did he care? Your right. I stated my opinion wrong. Although, that is what a pack is for. Cowards...or those that want to start a family. With packs comes commitment, and with love comes commitment. Both are useless. Both only cause trouble, and one is more trouble than it really is worth. Yes, he was talking about love. Love only tended to tear you apart, and kill who you were before you fell in love. His honey suckle eyes found her gaze for a moment, and a smirk replaced the frown again at her next lyrics. "Divide, eh? Pleasure to meet you. So if you are not looking for a pack to call your own... How did you find your way to these lands?"
He nodded his confirmation on his name, but didn't bother to speak until she had finished speaking, and an awkward silence began to fall over them. Finally, before it got out of hand for too long he decided to answer. Yes, Divide. It's a pleasure to meet you as well, sweetheart. He was hesitant to speak about why he was here. There was a past in it, and the past had everything to do with who he was, and why there was an ugly scar that disfigured his face. Well, it really didn't disfigure him, but it was a scar that reminded him of the brute that he would like to wipe off of the face of the earth. I've no reason to stay in one place for long. I don't have any family; my father had killed my Mother a long time ago. My Mother had taken me to try and rescue me from him, but it only ended in her losing her life. And that was all he was willing to speak about. He maybe gave her more information than she could care to know, but he always spoke his mind without fail.
He fell silent again, intent on speaking more, but searching for the right words. So, I wander. I meet different wolves, and creatures, and avoid things that could tie me down, such as relationships. That doesn't mean I don't have a fling every now and then, though. He shrugged, not really caring how much information he gave her. He wasn't shy. So, what about you? A beautiful fae such as yourself hasn't settled down yet? He asked curiously. he wasn't trying to be rude. He was merely giving her a compliment and asking a question at the same time. [/blockquote]

The thought of joining a pack caused mixed feelings in Firki. To a certain degree, she wanted to but then there was a resounding feeling of not wanting to. If others did not accept her for the way that she was it was not in her nature to try and fit in. So many others would do anything to grovel at the heels of an alpha and do anything to fit into a pack like a lost puzzle piece. She laughed at those that acted like that. "I too have seen the horrors of what transpires in claimed lands if a wolf does not follow the orders of their supposed alpha," she replied flicking her tail in annoyance. "Perhaps some day I will have a good reason to give up the life as a rouge but the way that I see it right now there is nothing good enough out there to attempt to tame me," she finished with a small laugh.
It was true though. So many femmes were swayed with false hopes of love or romance if they joined a pack. It seemed that there were fewer and fewer of her gender that roamed the earth alone. It was sickening actually. How far feas had fallen down the ladder. It seemed they were only meant for one thing now... To carry on the population. Yes, maybe one day she would want to start a family but those thoughts she rarely entertained for more than a few fleeting seconds.
Her thoughts enveloped her as once more the silence fell between them. Though it was not one of those awkward silences that seemed to happy frequently between two strangers meeting each other. This Divide had caught her attention and she was some what looking forward to keeping this conversation going for the time being. Most wolves that she came across pestered her or flat out annoyed her because they did not know how to keep up a conversation. This must have been one of those traits she had picked up from her father though she would hate to ever admit it to anyone.
When his words finally broke the silence, her audits twitched in the direction of him seemingly without any control of her own. She came back to reality and listened to the lyrics he spoke. It seemed like he had many of the same intentions of being a loner as herself. Though she doubted in the back of her mind that one of his motivations was to seek someone out for the wrongs that had been caused in the past. That story she would save for another time. It was apparent to her that he was some what similar to other brutes that she had passed along the way. A male that did not want to be tied down with the responsibility of a family or love life. Just a loner that liked the simple pleasures of being alone or being able to bed with whomever he felt like when ever he felt like. She did not blame him though.
"A beautiful fae such as myself, eh?" she replied with a half smirk drifting onto her features. It had been a while since the last time she had received a compliment such as this though she had heard it before. It was still a pleasant thing to hear from time to time. "To put it simply, I have not found anyone really worth me giving up my loner life for. I rather enjoy being able to do what I want when I want without having to worry about what consequences my actions have on anyone else," she replied honestly as she rolled her slender shoulders into a shrug. "I like being free..." she finished with a small wink.

"I too have seen the horrors of what transpires in claimed lands if a wolf does not follow the orders of their supposed alpha,"
His audits flicked as she began to speak, and at this statement he chose to simply nod his head. You see, he had already spoken his share on how he felt about the horrors of what happened, and it seemed to him that they both shared the same feelings. She wasn't done speaking yet though, and he could tell there was much more on her mind. "Perhaps some day I will have a good reason to give up the life as a rouge but the way that I see it right now there is nothing good enough out there to attempt to tame me," A laugh was heard next, and he couldn't help but chuckle after her. He could see why some one would be afraid to try and attempt to tame her. She had a fiery personality, and was as free as the wind that crossed the plains. It was a rare quality to see in faes anymore. Most were either bitches, and believed they could force you to do what every their little hearts desired, or they were completely reliant on you. All this bullshit of 'Get me this,' and 'I need you to...' It wasn't something that a male should have to deal with. I can see why they haven't attempted to tame you, Firki. A wild flame is one of the most beautiful things the earth has to offer, yet it is also one of the most dangerous. Pleasant to watch, but misunderstood. He mused, his honey suckle eyes sparkling with pleasure.
Right now, he enjoyed talking to her because she was different, much different than the other faes he has come across in his life time. She wasn't all over him, and trying to get him to fuck her with every bat of an eyelash, and lyric she spoke. No, she was self confident. She didn't need a male in her life at this time, it was obvious to see. He kinda liked it. This conversation was actually turning out to be a rather good one because they had managed to keep each other interested in conversation. That was a goal for Divide. Her lyrics broke through his thoughts once more, and he found it a miracle that he had caught even one word she had said he had been so engrossed in his thoughts. "A beautiful fae such as myself, eh?"
A smirk had managed to creep it's way upon his maw, and curl at the corners of his mouth. At least she didn't get all weird about it, and just took the damn compliment like it was supposed to be received. He nodded his crown, and lyrics passed between his ivory lips. Aye, fae. Beautiful. I, being an honest brute of my word, can not tell a lie. A chuckle slipped in between his maw once more, and he found himself chuckling softly. By now, he had found himself in a snarling contest with any other fae, but she was pleasant enough to keep the conversation civil. "To put it simply, I have not found anyone really worth me giving up my loner life for. I rather enjoy being able to do what I want when I want without having to worry about what consequences my actions have on anyone else," This made a lot of sense to him. It really did. He found himself with the same feelings that she had, and he nodded his crown once more. To find some one worth giving up your freedom is when you find out what you really feel for some one. The way I see it is, if you give up your freedom for some one, your giving up a part of you just to be with them. That's the greatest sacrifice a wolf can make in my opinion. He muttered, speaking his thoughts with a somber expression. It was only true.
"I like being free..." And then a wink. His laughter entered the atmosphere for a few moments, and an amused expression crossed his constitution. As do I, comrade. As do I... He allowed his words to trail off as another chuckle was emitted into the air. He watched her with keen eyes, and decided he'd let her speak now. After all, they were having a pleasant conversation. It took more than one person to have a conversation, at least the last time I checked that's how it was. Unless you had a mental illness, and needed to be locked away. In both of their cases, this was not the problem.

Her ears twitched as she listened to his low lyrics. This brute was different than most she had come across. Was a nice change for once to not have a cocky male trying to flaunt himself around her. After all, she had more important things to preoccupy her time with then having to deal with annoying childish males that only sought one thing in the world. A smile drifted onto her fine features as he spoke of her. Yes, her pelt matched her personality perfectly. Wild and free just like an untamed fire. No one could hold her down and if they tried it never ended well for them. Though she was femme she never needed anyone to hold her paw through anything that life had thrown at her. Independence was something that she prided herself on.
Her tail swayed slightly as she stood there before him. "It seems like you and I have many things in common, my dear Divide," she stated in a matter of fact tone. "Neither of us require anyone to keep us content and we both have the same views, so it seems, on pack life." It was a rare thing indeed to come across those that did not long to be apart of claimed lands. She knew that it was in her breed's nature to want to be around others. Her wandering spirit had to have been inherited by her wretched father. Even the slight thought of him left a bad taste in her mouth but she resisted spitting.
As he continued to speak about giving up freedom and being alone, her brow cocked slightly. He spoke of things she did not understand. Caring and feeling compassion towards another in such a manner she knew nothing about. Love was not an emotion that made sense to her. The only thing she had learned to feel was anger and hate towards the opposite sex. "That would be an interesting day to know what it is like to care that deeply about another... To give up the gift of freedom for another does not make any sense to me," she added trying to think about what it would be like but still could not wrap her head around it. "I understand many things in this world... But such emotions do not seem useful to me... Or have not proven useful. From what I have seen it only hinders others actions making them weak."
She had seen how that emotion called love had torn so many apart before. She watched her mother spiral into a deep depression after her father left. Or at least thinking you were in love?" she asked. Normally, she would not care about such things but her curiosity was getting the best of her at the moment.
