"It seems like you and I have many things in common, my dear Divide," Yes, it did seem as though the fae and he shared a lot of the same views on pack life, and such. "Neither of us require anyone to keep us content and we both have the same views, so it seems, on pack life." Divide nodded again. This was true. They did see things as the same on a lot of things. It was nice to find some one that shared the same thoughts, and feelings about a lot. He tilted his head to the side slightly, becoming thoughtful for a few moments. It was strange how they could get along so well, at least, two loners who hardly ever converse on get together, and have a conversation without tearing the others head off for different opinions.
That would be an interesting day to know what it is like to care that deeply about another... To give up the gift of freedom for another does not make any sense to me," He tilted his head to the side for a moment, wondering why she spoke as if she didn't know what it was like, then it stuck him like a lightning bolt. No one has ever taken the time to love her. He frowned slightly, but shook the thought away from his mind as he focused on her, and what she was saying once again. I understand many things in this world... But such emotions do not seem useful to me... Or have not proven useful. From what I have seen it only hinders others actions making them weak." Divide bit his lower lip with his canines, and then slowly began to speak.
Yes...this is true, in a way, but it also has the potential to make one stronger... He paused, looking up for a few moments because he was speaking about something he did not fully understand as well. It's...possible for your feelings for some one to give you the strength to go on, to fight even if you haven't the smallest hope of succeeding. I'm not sure because I've never had feelings that strong for any femme. That strong, that is. I have had feelings, but only ended up with a broken heart. He frowned for a moment, glowering into the shadows. It was stupid, really. Emotions were stupid. He didn't understand why they needed emotions. All they ever seemed to do was get in the way. All those things he spoke about above were only myths to him, yet to happen to him. He shrugged, and looked back to Firki.
"Have you ever been down that road? Falling for another? Or at least thinking you were in love?" He fell silent for a moment, staring at the ground for a few moments. I've never been far enough down that path for it to effect me like it does others, but I have been far enough to be hurt. I don't plan on going back any time soon, either. Love, as I've seen it, only has a tendency to hurt you, unless you believe in all that bullshit of 'true love at first sight.' He made a face out of disgust, and shook his crown. No, I've believed in it at one point, but it only set me up for failure. Freedom is the only thing you can love that won't stab you in the back, I've come to fine. He said, meeting her gaze finally with sparks in his eyes. He wasn't angry, no. Just opinionated.

Divide shared many of the same views on the matter of emotions and the heart. Some would even be so bold as to guess that Firki no longer had that muscle. After everything that she had seen and witnessed in the name of love it had completely turned her off to such a venture. Why would anyone risk showing another their weakness just so say that they "love" that other. It confused her really. Some times even upset her when she really thought about it. All of her years of living no one had proved to her that such pointless emotions actually were worth experiencing first hand.
Her gaze drifted back to the beast in front of her. She listened to him speak. Her mind clung to every word as he spoke. Such an interesting fellow indeed. Nice to be able to have a conversation with another that could keep up even if it was on a topic that many did not dare to touch on. "You sound like one that would give up all emotions if you could..." she paused for a moment and drew in a breath. As she exhaled, a smile drifted across her features. "You sound like one that would want to take lessons from my father. He knows nothing about emotions anymore. Completely deaf to their pleas. Perhaps... Perhaps, that is why he is so feared throughout the lands." He was a cold monster. Even killers had some sort of emotion. Pleasure in taking lives or anger as to why they did the killings. Her father knew nothing of such petty feelings. He did what he did simply because he felt like it.
"I am sorry that you have had to deal with the pain that the heart can deliver. But what does not kill us only makes us stronger... Right?" she said letting her delicate shoulders roll into a shrug. That was her way of looking on the bright side if there in fact was one in this situation. She had heard of the pain a broken heart caused but she was not curious enough to experience such things herself. She was quite pleased in being on her own without having to worry about anyone else or anyone else trying to take care of her.
As he spoke of matters of the heart, something caught her attention. He said something that love could make one stronger in certain situations. A small chuckle escaped her lips in a breath. "That I would know nothing about. But couldn't it be the same that pure rage could drive someone to the brink of insanity? That they could no longer feel pain even on the edge of death?" she questioned raising her brow as she took a step towards him.
