This island was very quiet. Or so Red thought. A little too quiet. The sounds of a birds song was gone, they had flown south. While other wolves seemed to have enough common sense to stay within pack lands or loner dens. These rogue lands were fairly dead, but dangerous. Yet Red didn't have the slightest clue to what was growing on Traum. He didn't have the slightest idea this was a journeys' end. Yet Red wasn't really on any particular journey. Just roaming around, searching for Benjamin more or less. Usually Reno is always with him, yet today Red went ahead for small game hunting. His small size was an advantage for burrows or quick prey. Yet the snow that blanketed the ground slowed him. Along with the numbing feeling with his paws wasn't helping. His thick akita inu like ears flicked back and forth. Red was the smallest of his siblings. Having the least of his fathers, wolf traits. Fairly short yet very thick legs. His pelt was thicker and far more fluffier than his brothers. While his muzzle was not as long, smaller. Ears shorter and thick. Yet he held the curled akita inu tail well over his back. If there was one thing Red missed most it was the indigenous people's music they played through out the village. The sounds of drums, wood wind instruments and the bells of a metal clicking off each other to create a rhythmic beautiful sound. Music. Something the wolves perhaps didn't have as much of a taste of, he pitied that. He thought of the drums beat, as he moved his feet ahead of him. Those brilliant dark teal orbs were hidden behind his eye lids. His feet practically did a dance as they stayed within rhythm. His tail wagging back and forth to the beat of chimes. While his head moved flowingly with the sound of wind instruments. As if they were flowing through his ears. Red was strange, sure. Yet he had talent to keep up with such different rhythms. So enchanting and passionate as he made odd paw prints within the snow. Not remembering all the songs, he frowned and stopped. Looking ahead, perhaps trying to call Benjamin would be a tad more helpful? Many domestic dogs have lost their reign of howling. Yet Red came from a music based village. Where the dogs howling was apart of the music. He smirked as he stood, paws all close to each other in a strange stance. He felt the building up of air and power within his chest, as the howl crawled up his throat and smoothly into the grey winter skies. Calling for Benjamin, and Reno behind his message. He twirled a bit around, in a strangely happy mood... ooc; sorry I had that on wip D: lol I was in a weird mood with our irish wannabe today :P

The days had seemed to merge together now, time flowing by without any pause or hesitation. The days seemed like nights and nights were like days. Reno had all but lost himself in this never ending cycle. He knew of the up coming war, had heard the rumors and the whispers in the shadows. He did not know his siblings stand point on the topic nor did he bother to ask about it. It was not his business and the last thing that this mutt needed was drama among his family. As if there wasn't enough already. He had not seen Syn in days and was starting to wonder what that evil she-wolf was up to. Needless to say he had felt a bit lost without her guidance, but it had also given him time to get to know the one sibling he had known almost nothing about. Benji had become a much bigger part of his life now and Reno couldn't help but feel closer to him. They were brothers after all and Reno craved to have a normal family again. It pained his heart to know that they were so broken. It was quiet as he walked along, absentmindedly following Red's scent toward wherever he had gone. They were usually together though today he had allowed Red to go ahead of him, not having the interest or the will to hurry along. There were quite a few things on his mind on this day, things such as his future. Where would they go from here? Would Syn ever change her ways and would this family ever be whole again? A low growl left his lips at the very thought. His stomach clenched tightly and he had to pause in his steps for a moment. A deep breath left his muzzle and he shook his head. "None of that now Reno." He muttered to himself. This was no time for him to be getting caught up in his own wants and needs. They were on loner lands, possibly the most dangerous areas of the island now. With a war on the horizon it was impossible to predict what other wolves would do to them. Thick paws pressed into the ice covered ground. It had been a long while since he had seen actual snow instead of the falling ice that had taken over this island. A rough winter indeed though he was more than equipped for it. His thick coat, seemingly more wolf than dog, kept the cold from chilling him to the bone. Out of his siblings he and Benji looked most like wolves, though Reno still had very distinct traits of the Akita that was in his blood. His ears were short and his muzzle was short as well, his eyes held a vibrant green color brought on by the dog blood in him. Of course there was his tail, curled over his back like the rest of his siblings. It was a dead give away to his true blood lines but Reno had stopped caring long ago. He was thick with muscle, a stocky build like a wolf and could certainly fight, though he was almost always neutral. His years of following Syn had crushed his personality and to most he was simply an emotionless blob, ready to take the shape of any thing, good or bad. A familiar sound touched his ears then and the male's eyes lifted toward the sky. Red was calling to his brothers and Reno would certainly not keep him waiting any longer. There was safety in numbers after all and they could not afford to be caught off guard, alone. Reno took only a second more to gather his thoughts before quickening his pace to a brisk jog. His steps were nearly silent as he went along, his eyes flicking back and forth. Something had felt off for a while now and Reno was on edge, always watching and waiting for something to happen. He didn't know however, that the threat was actually within his own family. Reno reached Red finally and slowed down quickly, stopping just a few feet from him. His tail lowered between his hind legs and stayed limp for now, his eyes emotionless as he gazed at his more dog like brother. He said nothing, just dipped his head in a light greeting.
