I look at the rushing waters of Kenosha creek. I've been here before, long ago, back before the big mistake. It was wonderful back then. The snow fall down, drifting in big fake flakes that fell onto my light grey coat. If there was a fault about snowflakes, it's that they make my off white coat look even greyer next to their pristine whiteness. The half frozen creek rushed on. I looked around, noting all the things that weren't here last time I was. Which was to say, quite a lot. I looked at the stream with distaste, remembering that one time when I almost drowned in a differant stream, a differant time. Ugh. I shivered, and stepped farther away from the stream. That time was the last time I ever stepped into a stream willingly. And now the only reason I come close to it anymore is becuase I need water, like any living creature. My eyes had glazed over as I had thought about all that, and now I shook my head, removing those thoughts as I looked away from the stream, trying to focus on other thoughts that demanded my attention. First, Auburn, my son. I don't what's up with him lately, but he's been acting odd. I haven't seen him for a while.....I mentally added to the list of growing things to do after this visit to the past. And stared off into the distance, lost in a world that happened long ago. A cold breeze, like a goon had come creeping up behind the pup as it foolishly caused a shiver to overwhelm the young pup. Lucee immediately jumped into the air, her small legs were like an instant reaction. Pretty interesting for her age, considering she was still very young and helpless. Her puppy teeth showed toward the empty distance. Squinting as she wished to scold something, but you couldn't scold the wind now could you? Lucee honestly was so thirsty and so bored out of her mind, she wandered here alone. It was risky and really dangerous considering the weather. Yet the main Renegade den could only entertain a growing pup for so long. Especially since Lucee had no idea to where her mother was. While father was out often with the other pups or hunting to keep the rest of them well and healthy. Lucee was aware of that, but honestly it seemed a bit ridiculous on how she seemed so alone sometimes. Stomping into the new snow, luckily not as high as her short fragile body. Her stomach was plump and round signifying health and her growth soon to come. Lucee was already showing signs of her mothers beauty too. Her features on her face were very feminine and youthful. While her eyes were still adoringly pale green, like the setting sun on a peaceful day. And Lucee knew very well she was growing to be rather pretty among others. Her creamy pup fur was still so soft and warm. While access fur indicated she'd be growing into it very soon. Her paws still small and awkward, yet it was an overall picture to scream adorable. Leaning toward the one foot drop off that seemed like a cliff to her, which was preventing her from reaching the waters touch. She squinted with anger as she leaned forward. Her fore paws were now on the rim of the creek. While her legs were still on the main ground. Her body all stretched out, she yelped in frustration and humor. Licking her chops, she leaned down to let her little tongue dip into the water. Yet she was so close to losing her grip up top to fall in to the half frozen waters. Putting in all her effort, using her abdominal and leg muscles to push herself back up. She nodded with a essence of cockiness within her eyes. Glaring toward the water as she rounded a tree. Only stop a hair short of bumping into another wolf. Her fur was near the same color as Lucee's. She seemed to be in a deep thought or something. Lucee turned her head to the side, "What are you staring at?" She asked rashly. Walking in front of Ember's legs to look out toward trees and nothing else really. Lucee was just too honest and spoke her mind far to often. For she simply was asking a question of curiosity. Having never been scolded for her rudeness before, Lucee thought of it as an everyday thing. Not that she didn't care, just she didn't really understand. But it didn't mean she was willing to listen. Her green eyes tried to meet Embers. "Are you Ember?" She asked, squinting her eyes as snowflakes fell annoyingly. ooc; kinda trying to get used to her character xD

"What are you staring at?" I whirled around, startled. How could a wolf have creeped so close to me without me noticing? Oh, yeah. I was lost in thought and wasn't paying any attention to anything outside my mind. " Nothing, " I replied, my eyes quickly looking over this small pup. What was a pup doing out here? She was tiny, and her coat would have blended in with the snow if it wasn't a dirty cream color, much like mine. So if she got hurt, it would be hard for her parents or whatever to find her. "Are you Ember?" " What?" I said, shock in my tone. She knew my name. How could she know my name? Have stories been going around about me? That was an awful thought, since they most likey weren't the best of stories. " Yeah, I'm Ember, " I said, trying to dismiss the fact. " Who are you? " I said. I turned around, wanting to get back to my own thoughts. The snow fell annoyingly on me, melting and making me colder. I shivered. And then I wandered at how the little pup felt. " Are you cold? " I asked, still the protective mother. After all, for three years I've been caring for Auburn. Who said I couldn't take care of another? Lucee was young, but very vigilant. She seemed to know just want to say and what to do to push another's button or to startle them into thinking she was smarter than she really was. It was a cause and effort trick Lucee had perfected already up her sleeve. Yet little did Lucee know just how naive she really was.
"Nothing,"
A look of shock flooded Ember's face as she realized another was near here. Lucee grew a sinful smile over her maw as she realized this. It wasn't like Lucee was even able to take hold of that chesire way of hers, like to manipulate or something. But the simple fact her and her insignificant self could cause a bad demeanor among other wolves that fueled her high ego.
"What? Yeah, I'm Ember,"
Ember had answered nothing to her question. Lucee simply shrugged it off. Glad to know it was Ember. She was right, most of the time for such obvious things. There had been rumors of Ember having some pups, but that's all Lucee really knew of Ember. That and the older pack members didn't take much liking to her at that. Yet Lucee was enjoying her presence.
"Who are you?"
Ears perked and a large smile stretched from ear to ear. "I figured, anyhow I am Lucee. Daughter of Ivonee and Zanzebaur. And don't act so shocked, I'm in your pack ya know." She smiled her eyes wide and adoring. Her voice was pretty scratchy and had much pup-awkwardness within it. Something she wanted to work on personally.
"Are you cold?"
As the harsh cool breeze drifted by once more. Lucee shivered and nodded roughly. It was pretty stupid to linger out here at her age. One because she was so young and defenseless and two because it was the middle of winter. One of the harshest winters Traums ever seen. And three, there was a war on the edge of bursting. And kidnapping among the pups was very common these days... Even Lucee had heard about those stories.
"Are you gonna fight in the war?" She asked curiously as the thought roamed into her mind. Ember wasn't that big, or very intimidating to Lucee. But she kept her mouth shut with a growing practice for patience. Among the pups in the renegade they'd tell each other 'scary' stories about others being kidnapped and hurt because of the war. It made Lucee shiver even more.

"I figured, anyhow I am Lucee. Daughter of Ivonee and Zanzebaur. And don't act so shocked, I'm in your pack ya know." Ivonee? Isn't that....? It can't be. I felt my eyes go wide with shock. The Ivonee who helped me give birth? That couldn't be possible. No way. " Ivonee. Isn't that the Renegrade's healer? " I asked, my voice betraying my shock. I was so shocked by her statement that I didn't even wonder why she still thought I was in her pack. Oh, I hoped it was true. And yet I didn't. Lucee shivered as the cold wind blew. I noticed. " Shouldn't you be with your pack?" I asked, my voice gentle. My shock was slightly lifted, and right now I cared about getting her home. And then another one of her statements surprised me. "Are you gonna fight in the war?" What? Another war? Or was the first one still not over and done with? Questions, questions, questions. This young pup knew more than I did. It made me annoyed, like an itch you can't reach. " Here, how about I get you home first? " I asked, my voice soothy and motherly like. But I had another reason for taking her back to the Renegrade camp. I need to find out what was going on. [/blockquote]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,444,true] | [atrb=background,http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll347/MissJane_08/Wolf%20Charries/karos-middle.png] The snow was abundant, which seemed strange, even for this region. The dark beast took note of this, though he dismissed the thought away as soon as he had tucked it away. He did not care much for trivial things such as weather....He simply went through the motions of being an attentive Alpha; he routinely checked for the weather conditions, the happenings of things in his territory, the well-being of his members, and et cetera. However, his heart was no longer in the task. He went through the motions, but it was as if he was on auto-pilot. As he picked his way through the Kenosha Creek region, he became aware that he was not the only one in the area. His sensitive ears were picking up distant sounds of soft voices. Knowing that, once again, he must go through the motions, he changed the direction of his large black paws. He sneezed once, glancing irritably up at the sky. Snow was still falling, and apparently it had triggered the sneeze. Shrugging it off, he continued on. He would have been quite easy to spot in this wintery landscape, and therefore he made no attempt to conceal himself. After all, what did he have to fear? In his own territory, with the threat of Cesaru gone and with him in his prime....His lover was safe back in the camp, her belly stretched with the precious lives of his children. The male blinked, suddenly horriblely confused. What was he thinking? No longer was he in his prime; Cesaru had been gone for years now. Nuri had already had two children, and no longer was she pregnant. So why was he thinking this way? Why had he geniunely believed that he was in some past time period? This was different than remembering; Anakaros had actually thought these things. It was as if he'd first woken up and forgotten about every recent event.... But he had been awake for many hours. Why would this confusion have leapt out of nowhere, smacking him in the face and disorienting him for a long moment? It made no sense, and he felt a twinge of fear flicker through his body. Firmly pushing it away, however, he trudged onward, for once eager to deal with the voices he heard ahead. He'd much rather deal with matters concerning his pack members than the questioned sanity of his own mind. "Greetings, ladies," He rumbled, stopping in his step, the crunching of his paws coming to a close. "Hello Lucee. You realize it is not wise to be out here alone?" His eyes lingered on the younger girl, wishing that she had not ventured so far out into the territory. Knowing that she was wandering about only increased the worries over border security. He reluctantly switched his gaze onto the other female, ready to take her in and deal with her. It took him a moment before the light of recognition flared onto his features, but there was indeed a flame. He recognized the blue eyes, the white coat and the ember markings. It had been a long time since he'd seen her, but he did know her. "Ah, Ember. Long time no see, eh? Much has happened since you were last here....Where have you been?"

Lucee had this sort of look that grabbed hold of anyone. It appeared... cocky? As if she was high maintenance or stuck up, although really she was just a smart ass. Young and purely innocent, lost in her own wide imagination and set her sights on things right in front of her. Not to simple, not to complex. That was Lucee, she appeared adorable, but somehow most just didn't find her that way. "Ivonee. Isn't that the Renegrade's healer?" A smirk grew over her maw. Stretching from ear to ear, yet her eyes appeared dim with interest. "Yep, that's my momma.... But I haven't seen her around lately..." She trailed off, even Lucee was smart enough to realize something awful might have happened to her mother. But on the cruel, realistic side, Lucee accepted it was nature and that she was young when it happened. Things could be worse after all. "Shouldn't you be with your pack?" Her left side of her muzzle lifted in annoyance. Personally, Lucee was bored and sick of how quiet things had grown among the pack. She sighed loudly, "Well probably, but all well." She didn't have much of a reason, nor did she want to come up with a excuse at the moment. Her emerald eyes searched the area or kept strong on Ember's stance. She blinked a few times as the wind brought in a familiar scent. "Here, how about I get you home first?"... "Greetings, ladies," The voices changed, from a light feminine one to a natural powerful male. Large pup ears flew up with interest toward the Alpha Anakaros. His black pelt had a light layer of snow among it, as he stuck out greatly in the white mass and next to their creme coats. No response came from Lucee as she peered at Ember from the side. She rose her small rump from the cold ground. "Hello Lucee. You realize it is not wise to be out here alone?" An exhaled expression came from Lucee. Showing a bit of rudeness, she didn't completely intend. "Yeah yeah, Ember is already on my tail for it. She was just about to take me back to the den." She frowned, eyes once again, lagging in interest now. Glancing down to her paws, she didn't want to go back. To where Zanzibar was absent with her brother, Lucee would die of boredom! She shuffled in the snow, showing signs of anticipation. "I want to fight in the war!" Naive. Her voice sprang into their long awaited meeting between the two. She had no eyes on her, as if it was her source of sanity and warmth. "Well I'm not dumb, I know I'm to small, but when can I?" She galloped toward Anakaros curiously. An adoring expression among her face.

The mother instint was still strong in me. "Yep, that's my momma.... But I haven't seen her around lately..." Ivonee. She had pups. Wow. I missed out on a lot. Perhaps my only friend...she helped me give birth. I wagged my tail at this happy news. " Your momma and I share a history, you know. " I said, and winked at the young pup. "Well probably, but all well." My tail twitched in amusement. Poor pup. She must be bored to be wandering around so much. Hm, I'll have to speak to someone about that....wait a minute. The wind shifted, bringing with it a new smell, a familar smell. Anakoros. "Greetings, ladies," There he was, the alpha of the Renegrade pack. I folded my ears back, shame in my eyes for the way I had acted in my younger years. Soft white snow was on his pure black pelt and he looked...differant. Older...yes...but there was something else. "Ah, Ember. Long time no see, eh? Much has happened since you were last here....Where have you been?" Ah, how to answer that question. Where have I been? Everyowhere and yet nowhere at all. " I have been...." I closed my blue eyes. " Simply gone, you don't need to know the details, " How strong the defiant part of me rose when Anakoros was near! As if I had never left, endured that pain. I opened my eyes, my whole being feeling just a little bit stronger now. "Hello Lucee. You realize it is not wise to be out here alone?" ...... "Yeah yeah, Ember is already on my tail for it. She was just about to take me back to the den." My fur bristled at the rudeness in her tail. I glanced at Anakoros. " Remember how rude I used to be?" I teasingly asked him. Oh yes, I was rude and selfish and all those things in my younger years. But now I've changed. Grown up, you could say. "I want to fight in the war!" Lucee's outburst surprised me. " You'll do no such thing!" I growled out, and quickly stepped in front of her, my eyes burning with anger. War was no fun and games. I knew that, and that's why I left. Or part of the reason. I wasn't surprised to learn that there was another war going on, nor was I eager to join it. I ached to punish her, but knew it wasn't in my place to do something like that. "Well I'm not dumb, I know I'm to small, but when can I?" "Never, " I growled out. " In fact, you are going to go back into the camp this very minute or I will carry you into it and embarras you!" How strangly protective I was over her. She reminded me of Crouse, who I had to leave behind. Of course, by now he was no doubt Auburn's age, but Lucee still reminded me of him. I turned to face Anakoros. " What's the war about this time?" I asked. i wouldn't be surprised if it was over so petty little thing, but, you never know, it could endanger one of my children. " How's Sage, and Crouse, and everyone else in the pack?" Quickly following the first question with another. I wanted to know everything that happened since I left. " Tell me, tell me, tell me!" I said, bouceing up and down like a little pup. Oops. I blushed and looked down. Remember everything that's happened to you, I said to myself, and that removed the puppy-like expression from my face.
