DaLong wandered about the mountain, the breeze shaking his fur up, and causing his green eyes to dart about wildly, as if he was sure they were the caresses of fangs and claws across his pelt, just taunting him, waiting for him to spin around in pure terror, only to slit his throat and leave him to bleed out on the lush grasses of the steep incline.
"Tāmen chūqù zhǎo wǒ. Nǐ děng zhe, dà wéi, tāmen huì zhǎodào wǒ zhèlǐ lái, jiù xiàng tāmen zuìhòu yīcì. Wǒ bùxiǎng ràng tā líkāi zhèlǐ. Rúguǒ wǒ sǐ le wǒ zéguài nǐ xiǎng cuī wǒ dào yīgè xūjiǎ de ānquán gǎn." He muttered to himself...well...not himself really, to DaWei, one of his many companions that tagged along in his mind.
He snuck a careful glance over his shoulder and let out a yelp as TuDi came after him, racing at him with his claws outstretched and teeth bared, he spun and ran, his spindly legs carrying him faster than what you would expect out of a wolf that looked as malnourished as he did. "Wǒ gàosu nǐ tú dī huì zhǎo wǒ! Wǒ gàosu nǐ! Dànshì, méiyǒu! Nǐ yǒngyuǎn bù tīng! Nǐ yǎ húndàn, dà wěi! Nǐ tā mā de báichī!" He howled as he raced along, praying someone would possibly find him.
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps behind him stopped and he twirled around to see that TuDi was gone, and he was safe. He let out a breath that he did not know he had been holding, and began to regain his breath. He turned and continued his walk, jumping ever so slightly at every last crackling leaf. He had gotten himself paranoid to the point where he heard a branch creak, and he spun around, scoring deep gashes in the bark of the birch just behind him. His flesh burned and he continued on, looking for a bit of real company.
