Vicious, burning, biting pain ripped through a still figure as it convulsed back and forth within the warm confines of a much guarded and well kept secret den. The fae within tossed and turned in her sleep but never quite awoke; not even when her pale form heaved violently as if she'd been in a long fight. Vivian was having a nightmare, one she'd had before and one she knew she'd have again. Ever since her son Tse had become old enough to decide on a den this nightmare had been coming more and more often and each time it was more terrifying than the last. When she was awake Vivian knew that this nightmare was from not dealing with a problem long ago, but that didn’t seemed to make things easier on her when she slept and the darkness chased her. In her dreams she saw the dark form of the male that had taken her against her will, she saw him pinning her down again and again as he took her for his own pleasure and how helpless and repulsed she’d felt during and after the act. She remembered how it felt as he forced her to the cold ground. And she remembered how cold she’d felt inside the day he’d found her again and threatened to take Tse away from her. The blood had been warm as it coated her nose and dripped from her mouth to the ground. That day, Vivian knew she’d failed once again. By being forced to kill Kole, she’d become as bad as he was. She tried to justify it by saying it was to protect Tse but still the death weighted heavily on her some nights. Her nightmares though, those were of a time where she hadn’t been able to beat Kole. In her dreams the male had been the one to win their fight and his cruel laughter had echoed through her head as he’d run off carrying Tse as the pup continued to cry for her. She’d been left broken and bloody on the snowy ground and had been able to feel her life slipping away. Finally Vivian awoke with a start and snarled viciously, her fur all standing up on end as she looked around for a threat that was no longer there. Finally she managed to calm herself and quickly exited her den and before she knew it she was running headlong for the deeper parts that made of the outskirts of Lucifer’s. She didn’t care who saw her and anyone that got too close she’d deal with, but at this moment, running was the only way she could stop the images from her dream from coming back. Running was the only thing that kept the darkness at bay. Notes: Yes I'm feeling a bit dark right now. I hope you like it. Word Count: 463 | |

It was one of those nights where Chikao just couldn’t sleep. There was nothing bothering him and nothing that he had to think over really, it was just one of those nights. Performing a quick stretch he started to walk. It wasn’t a purposeful walk; instead it was mostly aimless wandering. As was his nature his mind started to whirl. He thought of his new pack and how he really didn’t know anyone here as of yet. That was probably for the better seeing as how he wouldn’t be here all that much. Once he got his first assignment he would be away for an undetermined amount of time. Picking up his head slightly he could see that the sun was still far below the horizon line. The moon shone brightly though up above him and to the west. An easy jogging beat started up beneath him and he carried himself across the plains. When his muscles became warm and his breath started to come a little heavier Chikao fluidly moved his body into a slow lope. Such athleticism in this big quiet wolf it was astounding. Much of what he did made it seem as if he floated on air, and as is the air he was just as quiet. Chikao was going nowhere and needed to be nowhere so he was quite surprised when he caught the sight of a white wolf racing across the plains only a few hundred feet away from him. For once his curiosity got the best of him. Gathering his feet beneath himself he threw his body into a full out sprint. Creating a diagonal line he successfully merged his path with whomever this was. A quick change in leads set their feet to the same pounding beat. He turned his eyes to look at the figure more closely. This wolf was a femmae and she has brilliant blue eyes. They were different than his own which gave off the appearance of him being blind. Her eyes were bright blue like the flow the ocean. He had only seen the ocean once or twice but the color would forever stick in his mind.
