Massive paws pounded the ground with every step, with huge, talon-like claws etching the soil. Blazing purple eyes scanned the land all around, taking in the familiar sights and sounds. Bonsai hadn't been here in a while, but he still knew his way around. He lifted his massive head to the sky, and deeply took in all the adjacent scents. Nothing.
It wasn't like he was expecting an entire pack to be lazing around just a little ways away, but he had been looking for some company. If you could call it that. Bonsai had never really gotten along with others, not even his own siblings, really. His family was relitavly non-existant except for his pups that he had only glimpsed once. He only took a liking to the one called Draco, who was a little bugger just like his dad was. Runi wasn't as aggressive, but could have been tought his fathers ways if Bonsai had taken them from their pansy of a mother, Theravada. Bonsai sneezed, as if trying to evacuate the memories. He remembered the last pup had been a girl, a little, fragile thing he wanted to put out if its misery at first sight. She shook like crazy at random times, and just plopped over. He grimaced at the thought of what that little puff of fur was like now. If she hasn't died yet...
He laughed slightly. It was awful that he wished that upon his flesh and blood, but that's exactly what Bonsai was. Awful. He smirked, and took another sniff.
There was a rabbit not too far away, and he was feeling a bit peckish. He stalked the small creature, and pounced, landing on his target like a lightning strike. The rabbit squealed and squirmed in his jaws, and its metallic blood trickled onto his tongue. He dropped the little thing to the ground, and watched as it tried to limp away, blood staining its pure white fur. Bonsai soon grew bored of the game, and finished off the rabbit with a snap of its neck. He ripped into the flesh, peeling back tufts if fur, and gulping down bloodied slivers of muscle and bone.
With his snack finished with, Bonsai circled in the grass a few times, and lay down with the winter sun to his back.

War was on the horizon and tension was in the air all around. Wolves who had no pack to go to hid away on the loner lands and those within packs did not leave the territories. It was an unstable moment in time and the slightest mistake could trigger the start of the brewing collision between good and evil. Though Vodka did not believe in the reasons behind this war she would still fight for the sight she figured would win. This was just another job, another chance to be with her brother. The thought sickened her, that the instinct to kill was so deeply burned into her brain. That's who she was though, a well trained assassin, born and raised to kill. It was her job, her life and she couldn't escape it. It had caused her to hate herself deep within, a certain self loathing that she couldn't get rid of now. Of course she would never let anyone else know that, after all she had a reputation to uphold, her family's name rested on her shoulders. Though not her shoulder's alone but who knew what her brother was up to. That demon had escaped from under her paws again and she had simply stopped looking. So long as he was on this island still she figured they would find one another eventually. Though it was not advised to leave the pack territory, Vodka was far to restless to stay there much longer than a few days. She needed to stretch her legs and get out and see what was going on. She wasn't too worried about her own safety, she was fairly certain that she could handle any wolf that came her way. Her fighting skills were something to brag about and she was more than confident about them. So the she-wolf set out for a little stroll around the island. She didn't plan on being away for too long seeing as Serena would not approve of it. Vodka doubted that the old female would even notice that she was gone. A small giggle left her lips as she raced across the lands, the feather tucked behind her left ear twirling in the wind. The feather was not something that Vodka really enjoyed but it was something she had to have, a symbol of the pack that she was involved with, The Warrior's Realm. A tough group but not one that Vodka would stick around in, specially after the war was over with. The short figure moved silently over the snow and ice, her delicate barely leaving a trail. She was small, as was the norm for her breed and the bloodlines of her family. Her legs were shorter than average but her body was long and sleek. She was thin and light weight but had enough muscle mass to give her seductive curves in all the right places. She was a beautiful creature no doubt but deadly which was her little secret. She didn't let others on to the fact that she was a well trained assassin. She simply let her flirtatious vibes and delicate body do all the work. She would lure them in then strike and end it without another thought. Her stomach tightened and she clenched her teeth tightly together. "Monster." She hissed to herself, a deep hatred apparent in her brilliant golden eyes. "Nothing but a monster." She continued to scold herself for even thinking about those things. Her tail went limp between her hind legs and her pace slowed a bit. She found herself in the mountains now, a cold and dangerous place but she welcomed it with a slight smirk. She needed to get her mind off of things and a little adventure up here would do just fine. After a few minutes more of walking a scent caught her attention, a male was nearby and if she was smelling right he had just made a kill. Her tail lifted and wagged softly now and her eyes narrowed slowly. She took off in the male's direction and in just minutes she had him in her sights. Her steps were silent and her light creamy coat kept her mostly hidden among the trees. Her breathing had slowed and she crouched low to the ground, her eyes locked on to the dark figure. She crept along until she was looking at his back then began forward. She got just a few feet from him before speaking. "Is it wise to be so relaxed out here in the open?" Her voice was smooth and rather feminine. She was hoping to startle the wolf in front of her but kept her muscles tight in case he would turn to attack her. Her eyes were wide and always watching his movements, the way his muscles flexed and his breathing. This is all she needed to predict his actions. His eyelids were closed, but he wasn't sleeping. He was wide awake, yet not fully aware. He was lost in his own thoughts. Black ears flicked as he thought of finding his pups again, and making sure they grew up properly. How old will they be now? Two? That's still young enough... He smirked at the thought of having his own little gang of his own offspring to do his bidding while he enjoyed the high-life.
Bonsai's nose twitched as he scented a female approaching, but he was still relaxed with his eyes shut and his mind wandering. He felt the presence get closer and closer, until he heard a sweet voice.
"Is it wise to be so relaxed out here in the open?"
The other wolf was facing his back, and Bonsai calmly replied without a motion, "Is it wise to talk to strangers, missy?" He opened his eyes, revealing his radiant purple eyes and rolled over to face his new acquittance. He still lying down, but on his belly, ready to get up at any moment. His tail flicked impatiently as he was interrupted from his meditation.
The purple eyes scanned the female, and he saw she was quite short for the average wolf. He noticed a feather sticking out by her ear, and tilted his head slightly at this strange accessory. He gazed up at the light pelted creature before him, and momentarily locked onto her hazel orbs.
Bonsai stretched lazily, his black talons scraping the earth as his long legs pulled forward and elevated him to his feet. He let out a yawn, displaying his pointed fangs, and then shook his head, his ears flapping. He sniffed slightly, and took a step closer to the female, testing her boundaries.
