Crouse Anxiety flowed through the arteries of the tense male pacing along the frozen waterways, his muscled build coiled and ready to spring at any moment. It was obvious that he was mentally and physically prepared for a conflict, and if any soul had familiarized itself with the happenings of the island about him or her, then the cause of this tension would be fairly evident. War had been looming for ages, but now it was about to strike, and it was this reason that the male was so very apprehensive. War was here. No longer was it a vague term thrown around in an attempt to strike fear within the hearts of the wolves of Traum. No longer was it something this creature could throw off to worry about another time. He regretted it now. He regretted that he'd been indifferent to the happenings, and he'd gone off to do whatever he'd pleased. The creamy white male had never been the one to tackle problems right away; rather, he much preferred to cast them away from his thoughts until he could deal with them at a more preferable time. However, was there ever a 'preferable' time? If one could manage to cast the tasks away long enough, there was never a preferable time, and the male named Crouse had never seemed to find one. Now he was paying for it, and that much was certain. The group he belonged to was a scattered one, and also one that lacked any organization. This roused a fear in the darkest corners of his tainted mind, for he knew not how to warn his fellows. A attack was coming, and perhaps sooner than he had thought. How was he supposed to guard over his lover, who carried the sons and daughters of his loins within her womb? Now, as he paced up the riverside, he knew that it was completely out of his paws. Unless luck suddenly decided to strike him and his lover crossed his worried path, he would face the possibility of losing her. No. It pained him to even think of it, and the fury that rose in his body caused a snarl to slice the otherwise silent air, his lips twisting to reveal his ivory teeth. Oh, how he longed to sink his teeth into something, anything living! He briefly eyed various plant life--what was still surviving after this exceptionally harsh winter--and considered ripping the life of it away, but it would not be the same. He also wished that the Renegade force would show up, but he instantly reconsidered. As cocky and arrogant as he was, he knew he was no match for an entire band of revenge-hungry wolves. The wind suddenly shifted in its direction, and the new thread of scent literally made him stop where he was. Hairs all across his coat started tingling, his nerves alive with the sensation of a blind terror. They were here. The ones that had been a daunting presence in his mind for the past week they had finally arrived. A panic coursed through the male's body, his tail swishing with a frustration. What was he to do? Nothing! He could only hope that Joaquin had decided she wanted a change of scene, and that she was nestled in some safe valley far away from here.
Anakaros Meanwhile, the band of Renegade wolves were picking their way through the tangled forest, keeping close to the river beside them. At the head was a large black fellow, an anger boiling just underneath the confines of his body. Leave him one mere second with these hateful creatures that dwelled nearby and he'd have quickly torn out their vulnerable throats. He was eager for the taste of blood, and not once did he realize that these thoughts were edging into an insane region. He'd begun to lose himself, and just when he was about to retrieve the very thing that had torn his world apart in the first place.
Jesse Once more we move to another point of view, one that features an adolescent that closely resembles the furious and nearly insane male moving in with his force. He was napping in the cover of forest a good distance away from the frozen stream, having not much else to do. He had been held captive for a good while now, and had long given up the idea that he would be able to escape. Had he known that his father was close by, bringing with him the means of rescue, he would have been wide awake without a care for the Revolt members that would hinder him. As it was, he lay in the cover of forest quite alone, having fallen asleep out of sheer boredom. He'd grown quite used to solitude. ooc:// This is the showdown between the Renegade and Revolt!!! It involves Virus, Ash, Thistle, myself, and...Err, if I forgot anyone else, I'm so sorry! But I wanted to get this over with, the war's been going on for too long. So please try to get some muse scrambled up to end our section of it! And I do apologize for the changing in writing style, I'm reading the Scarlet Letter, which would explain it. xD Hopefully it's alright. ^^ Any concern you might have, just PM me or something. :D This is so exciting!

When I heard about it, I didn't pay attention, focusing on the fact that I was there, talking to my brother for the first time in......forever. But now, I was going to get punished for not listening. My ears pricked as I listened to the tale-tell sound of many paws brushing against the soft grass that was near the stream and plenty. The wind was blowing towards me, which was good. I could scent them but they couldn't scent me. And of the scents was.....Crouse! My eyes widened. What were the chances of seeing him out here? Wait, didn't he say that the base camp was by a stream or something? I furrowed my brow, trying to remember, but nothing came up. Oh well. I followed the stream, creeping up from behind Crouse, not wanting to come in contact with the strangers that might rip me apart. And if any one of them tried to lay a paw on Crouse.....let's just say that they'll regret it. My amber eyes narrowed as I followed that thought a short way, but then I soon dismissed it, not wanting to see how gory it would be. Pretty soon I was right behind Crouse, and I settled down to wait for him to notice me. After all, it would be a bit creeping for him to suddenly find his brother right there, right? And besides, he might overreact and try to attack me, like he would get very far. I had a natural fighting instint, inherited from my mother. One of the few good traits I got from her. And so I sat down and studied the scents that were around Crouse and me. A distint scent, it was hard to pick out just one wolf from the group. Most likely a pack of some kind. The question was, were they on Crouse's side or not?

Crouse Another wave of frustration passed over the tawny male, and he had the irrational desire to beat his claws into the frozen river. Again he wanted to rip something up, but he was also aware of the need to be silent. He did not want to attract attention to himself, especially with the threat of those damn Renegade wolves prowling through his territory. He paused, his nose lifting into the air and reading the various scents as his tan tail swished behind him. It was not wagging out of delight, no; its jerked movements signaled his rage. When he paused and scented the air, he caught another thread, a newer and fresher one. He turned before he put a face to the scent, and the sudden presence of another startled him into a vicious snarl, his muscles coiling and preparing him to spring at the wolf sitting a neat distance from him. Just before he launched himself at the other male, however, he caught himself, and his snarl broke off into a long string of curse words. "Auburn!" He snapped, forgetting that he intended to be silent. "At least give me some fucking warning that you're there, you damn prick." He wasn't angry at Auburn, not really. In fact, he was relieved to have some back up, but the fact that he was so damn jumpy was pissing him off. "Come on," He added, lowering his voice. "Those Renegade bastards are invading our territory. Help me find Joaquin, will you?" He gestured with his head, turning back in the direction that he had been heading in the first place. He was going to check the main camp area; that is, if the Renegade wolves hadn't gotten there first. At this point, he didn't even give a damn about those whiney brats they were supposed to be holding hostage. Crouse had never understood the point of keeping them away from their pack; what was the point? He'd never figured out Seshafi's intent, and he would be just as pleased if Jesse and Netyri disappeared forever. He couldn't give a rat's ass anymore. All he cared about was finding Joaquin and getting the hell out of there. He was done with Seshafi's games.
Anakaros So far, everything had been easy going. This irritated Anakaros, because he was ready to carry out his revenge, but he also had the sense that they had not yet reached the main camp. The scent was fairly easy to follow, and as long as they kept by the stream, they would find it easily. Just as he thought this, the stream widened, and there was a small clearing on one side of stream. The scent became intensely concentrated, and he knew at once that they were here. He tensed up, raising his tail as a signal for his group to halt. This was it. His voice low, he turned his head slightly so his voice would carry behind him. "Be quiet. Stay low. If we can get in and get out with the kids, we'll do just that." In all reality, the only thing he wanted to do was kill as many enemies as he could. But had already made a plan, and he was going to verbally follow that plan. It was just a matter of following it with his actions. He edged forward, picking through the strong scents. Excitement flooded his body, and for the first time in a very, very long time. That was his boy! His boy was so close! He could also detect the lighter, sweeter scent of Netyri in the next second, and that pleased him all the more. His heartrate quickened, and he edged forward even more so. He was ready, and he hoped that his team was ready too. ooc:// I'm not sure if there'll be any major fighting here. A small confrontation, maybe. But the main objective is to get the kids back, and that's it. I've talked to V and we can pretend that Alej and Joaquin are away somewhere, and Xecir is just tagging along if she doesn't feel up to joining. ^^ Yay for getting this over with!

"Auburn! At least give me some fucking warning that you're there, you damn prick." I grinned. " Hey, it's not my fault you weren't paying attention, " I said playfully. I would've shoved his shoulder, but then I remembered all those strangers up the river. I narrowed my eyes. How dare they! Coming up the river and making my brother so paraniod that he had almost attacked me, althrough he might have done it even in a differant case. "Come on,Those Renegade bastards are invading our territory. Help me find Joaquin, will you?" I nodded, my playful grin wiped from my face. My eyes widened. Renegrade....what if my sister or mother were among them? Althrough I still hated Ember, I couldn't imagine fighting her off. Not my sister either....but would I even regonize her? " Sure I would. I just hoped that......never mind, " I said, a strange thought entering my head. What if the Warriors came? Kayden had said that she wanted to be a warrior, and they were Crouse's rival. I frowned. I'll focused on that when the time comes, if it ever does. Crouse's started walking beside the river. He was worried, I could tell, althrough he likes to hide the fact. Who wouldn't be worried if their mate was wondering around and the Renegrade pack was here? I started walking too, my ears and eyes strained for the slightest bit of information that would be vital. The wind shited, bringing behind us some vital scents. I smelled Renegrade scent, closer than I would've thought. I whirled around, straining my eyes and ears to find the source so I could better protect everyone here. There; a flickering shadow, barely detectable. It could've been something else, but inside, I knew it just had to be a wolf. I stayed there for a moment, wondering what I should do. Surely Crouse would notice my absentance in a few moments, right? Maybe it truely was nothing, maybe I should just go and catch up to Crouse. All the same through, I'd like to know what the shadow was. I walked closer to it, tense just in case the 'thing' attacked. Most likely, it wouldn't, but still, better safe than sorry.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,489,true] | [atrb=background,http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll347/MissJane_08/Wolf%20Charries/alakay-middle.png] Was the snow melting? Finally? A smile actually appeared on the maned wolves maw. It was an average day, but things we're different. The Revolt wolves we're off doing whatever these days while Alakay was always completely left out. He didn't care, less work for him right? He exhaled, a cloud of white forming from his nostrils. He hated it here, he truly did. He was the Revolt's slave and no one thought twice of him. He knew it very well. The scent of the Warrior was still very strong here. He remembered how she called him a puffed spider. He laughed at the name. He was like a huge spider. Dark tinted orange fur and black mane that puffed when aggravated or annoyed. He was the spider wolf, hence his long lanky legs glided across the terrain with ease. Angelic almost, but even thought of him as a disgusting demon. Scents of unfamiliar wolves filled the area. Blinking a few times, whom was that? Renegade? Ears twitched as he pressed forth. Smelt of.. Anakaros. Strange... what would he doing among here. A bit of fear surged through Alakay. He knew she should warn the Revolt. Should call and let them know now.. but he didn't. Just like last time with the Warrior. He paced quickly toward their direction. Leaping right out in front of them. He noticed three wolves among them, but they're could be more. Anakaros was a wise and legendary wolf among the island. A stern and serious look without curiosity filled Alakay's eyes. "Turn back now, Anakaros." He said quietly but clearly into the bitter wind. His dark red eyes kept strong on them. Head lowered, ready to defend himself if needed. It seemed he had begun a tradition of trying to protect those who came into the land rather than warning the Revolt. Was he betraying them? Perhaps, good. Alakay despised these lands and his own group with all his being. And the Warrior, and now this Alpha... inspired him. But he could never speak of it. He was simply the over grown spider among the soundless Revolt lands, right? He had children running among the island wishing for his death. He was wanted, as in killed among any where else. And now he wanted nothing more than freedom, and he was heading in the right direction, perhaps one day.. he could escape Seshafi's grasp. ooc; aw yeah there's you small confrontation? but it's alakay <3 kept it short and simple since its a big thread ~

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,400,true] | [atrb=background,http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk107/puddinxpiexB/CrouseMIDDLE.png] ‘Hey, it's not my fault you weren't paying attention.’ “Ahem, bullshit, I was paying attention.” The male was just angry for being startled, to have that adrenaline course through his body for a wasted effort. His ears flicked with an annoyed air as he turned his face in the direction he had been heading. Today was the day. He could feel it. But where those bastards were, he wasn’t sure. He didn’t turn back to face his brother while he explained what was going on, and it was a good thing—for Auburn’s sake—that he was looking away. Crouse did not see the grin wiped away, replaced by a hesitancy that arose from a wolf being placed in the middle of something. “Sure I would. I just hoped that......never mind.” Once again, Auburn got lucky. Crouse didn’t pay much attention to Auburn’s words after ‘Sure’. He just needed the answer he was looking for, and once it was given he needed nothing else. At once the cream colored wolf stepped forward, his body resuming the predatory stance as he stalked beside the river. He felt a twinge of fear snap through his body after another few long moments, and he slowed his steps. In a low voice that was difficult to pick up, he murmured to his brother, “They’re here.”
Anakaros When the mottled brown she-wolf spoke, Anakaros’ mind immediately began to turn as he thought of possibilities. Who would go where, who would do what. This was it. He couldn’t mess it up. Without taking his eyes away from surveying the camp, he slightly turned his head to answer Firva. The words didn’t even have a chance to work themselves out, however, because his eyes suddenly locked on a wolf that hadn’t been there a second before. “Turn back now, Anakaros.’ There was a short instant of stillness, where Anakaros simply stared at the tall Maned Wolf, his mouth still slightly open from his ungiven answer to his packmate. There was a thick layer of tension in the air as well, one that would evade no soul. The war was at its climax for them. Then something inside the black male broke, shattered into pieces. His face changed, his lips pulling back as he eagerly revealed his fangs, his ears twisted around to press into the back of his head. His tail raised at once, showing that he was the dominant force, and hell would freeze before he would be told what to do. ”How DARE you!” He snapped, his whole body bristling. “You come into MY territory and do whatever the fuck you please, and tell ME to TURN BACK AROUND?” He was seconds away from launching himself at the stranger. He gave no thought to an ambush waiting in the bushes, he gave it no thought at all. It was amazing that he was even thinking at this point. “If you don’t tell me where my children are this very second, I’ll have your throat ripped out before you can even make the jump over that river.”
Crouse “Ah shit,” Crouse said, squeezing his eyes shut in a sign of pain as he heard the yelling coming from a good ways up. He was trembling slightly, feeling as if he were backed into a corner. Whoever Anakaros was yelling at, it better not be Joaquin. He’d give a hundred wolves before it was here. ”Let’s go,” He snapped to his brother, lunging to the left to plunge into the treeline, seeking better cover. He had the idea that Anakaros was in the main camp, so he’d cut through the trees before he reached the camp to assess the situation. As he ran through the wooded area, he spotted the brat that was the center of all this trouble and he altered his course enough to meet up with the boy. “Get your ass up, we have company,” Crouse hissed, painfully prodding the groggy male. Jesse had already been awake, having woken during Anakaros’ small episode, and now he jumped to his feet, weary. He’d never seen Crouse this edgy, and he didn’t fancy being bit over it. Roughly biting Jesse’s scruff, Crouse jerked the younger wolf for a second before continuing on his way. “Be quiet,” Crouse hissed, pressing lowly to the ground. He hoped that Auburn had enough sense to follow along, to keep close to Jesse so he wouldn’t blow their cover. Ooc:// I wanted to write more, but I wanted give others a chance to fill in before I had Crouse and Jesse and Auburn meet up with the others. (: That was fun to write, with Anakaros pretty close to going insane and on a downward slope after this. :P
