Chapter 1 -- A Beautiful Mystery The mysterious is always so attractive...
This is the privately run Cross Academy, an elite boarding school where all the students stay in the dorms.
On the outside, Cross Academy is a normal high class school, but within it harbors tightly kept secret: the beautiful and mysterious night class students are actually vampires. Unbeknownst to the human day class students, the whole school is being used to test the theory that vampires and humans can co-exist peacefully side by side.
To do this, the races are separated with the vampires in the Moon Dorm and the humans in the Sun Dorm, both going to and from school at different times so as to keep interaction to a minimum and safety to a max. In addition, the vampires have developed a blood tablet which eliminates the need to ingest blood. The pill is annoying at best and tastes bad, but it is enforced by the Purebloods and is needed to maintain the security of the day class.
For the past few years, this way of life has worked out far better than previously hypothesized. It has gone so well in fact, that in the past three months while the students were on summer vacation, the staff at Cross Academy were hard at work adding a new wing to the dorms. They’re calling it the Twilight Dorm. The new housings are currently being filled with transfer students from all around, some even being shipped from outside of the country. These are no ordinary students; Cross Academy is upping the stakes by adding a race that few vampires even knew existed… Their manufactured enemy…
Werewolves.
These once legendary beasts are going to be joining the school beginning this year in hopes that doing so will take away from threat that wolves pose on vampires. To maintain vampire safety, Alpha wolves (strong, commanding werewolves that reflect the Pureblood for the vampires) and Omegas (soothing wolves, proven to take highly violent situations and decrease the aggression to almost nothing with just their presence) are being brought in from all over the globe to keep the others in check. The Twilight class is also required to take the newly developed suppressor tablets—that work a little like werewolf happy pills—to keep them from reacting rashly.
But wolves are far more stubborn than any of the previous races at the academy. Will this lead to a treaty among enemies or just another disaster? [/blockquote]
