[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,425,true] | [atrb=background,http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac192/fireb4ashes/Torro---MIDDLE.png] The handsome brute couldn't have told you why he was so far from home. He moved swiftly through the chest high waters, his columns faithful to him once again. He picked his footing easily, nose lowering every once and again to pick up the faint scents of scurrying critters that had crossed this path before him. His large paws found firm land finally, and with one easy movement the brute lifted himself out of the freezing murky water, and shook his coat free of the grimy liquid. So, it may come as an interesting question to why the Order's Brigadier would be wandering around the swamp. Didn't he have duties to do back home? Well, no, not really. Not yet, any ways. He was just announced the Brigadier a few days ago, and has not been told what he was supposed to do, exactly. So, until orders came, he was free to wander as he pleased.
The brutes canvas was painted with a brilliant variety of browns, tans, and even splotches of white. It almost looked as if an artist took his brush, and flicked the white speckles upon his canvas. A regal crown was pointed toward the ground once more, audits perked forward as he listened for any approaching creatures, or wolves. His bushy tail curled slightly, and brushed across the top of his back, dancing upon his spin for a moment. At the crack of a branch the young officer spun around, intelligent gold eyes scanning his surroundings for but a few moments. Something must have been there, for Caspar can not snap branches on his own. He could feel the glossy tendrils on the back of his neck stand on end of the sense of being watched intensified every moment he stood still. A low growl emitted from the depths of his chest. He wasn't so sure he wanted to be caught off guard. With tensions between the packs growing, he could very well be in danger.
He wasn't sure who could know that he had gotten the rank as Brigadier just yet, but who knew? Word traveled fast sometimes. So, gazing into the shadows his gold flecked eyes narrowed slightly. Anybody there? He mused slightly, his maw parting slightly to let the robust lyrics roll freely from his tongue. They seemed to melt into the atmosphere as silence continued it's deadly reign. Was he just imagining stuff? The brute doubted it. It wasn't very often he doubted himself. After all, he was pretty smart if you asked him. Other may disagree the slightest, but it was his opinion of himself that mattered the most. So, Torro allowed the silence to entomb him, and everything in it's grasp.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i839.photobucket.com/albums/zz315/xxlonetearxx/mireibg_3.jpg]After her brief encounter with two unknown wolves who seemed to be trackers so close to where she had spent the past week resting during the night Mirei gave that area a wide berth, completely abandoning the dead and mangled tree whose roots she had used as a make shift nest. She didn't like when others knew of her resting spots and so she had moved on to find a new one. However she knew she wouldn't be finding one anywhere near this place, murky water surrounded her on all sides, giving off a musty and somewhat foul smell. Small paws flitted from one firm spot to the next, each movement carefully planned so as to avoid the dark water, and though it was far from easy going she still managed to move like a shadow, smooth, graceful, predatory, where others might seem on the verge of clumsiness. Who would have known her small size would give her such an advantage as this, her far lighter weight allowing her to traverse ground that to others would have given way under paw.
Ears pricked when the loud call of a bird sounded nearby, nose raising to the air, mind racing as all the possibilities of what could have startled the creature surfaced. Quickly flicking through them she decided it would have to be something on the larger side, something that would appear threatening. Carefully she made her way toward the sound, eyes efficiently finding solid ground, in fact, the farther she got toward the center of the swamp the more solid ground appeared. It was something strange that caught her attention and she made a note in her mind to look into it after she figured out the mystery at hand.
Flitting between trees that were slowly beginning to appear in more and more frequency, she grew relieved when the ground no longer squelched beneath her paws, though still rich and moist, water no longer welled up with every step, it was completely solid and felt like heaven to her paws after the dampness she had been making her way through. Pausing she sniffed the air, picking up a fairly fresh scent of another wolf, one that reeked of the Order, the pack she had so carefully been studying. A small flicker of satisfaction made itself known to her at this discovery, it could prove to be useful to her in the long run.
Her surroundings changed almost abruptly, the tree line thickening, undergrowth filling in the spaces. All the better for her, though it was possible to go unnoticed in more open land, it was easier to play with her target from the shadows these kinds of surroundings provided her, where there was no way another creature would see her unless she chose to be seen. Her vibrant blue eyes could make out his shape now, for his scent was distinctly male, neither a huge behemoth nor small, he seemed to be a bit larger then average, though there was nothing bulky about him. She could see the muscles ripple beneath his pelt, a mixture of browns, creams, and a bit of white, sort of an odd coloration but not so much that it would stand out and make him an obvious target. However, it really didn't help keep him well hidden, at least not from her sharp eyes.
Purposely she let a twig snap beneath her paw before immediately flitting in the other direction, circling around the male, knowing that on instinct he would turn to look in that direction, and he would find himself in for a nice surprise. "Anybody there?" His voice was confident and smooth, not showing any uncertainty or fear. This would be a game she would enjoy, it would be a challenge, so unlike the paranoid and sketchy wolves she had come across so often lately. Silently she made her way toward his turned back, moving so close she could see every hair as it stood up on his shoulders, so close that when he turned around he would find himself nose to nose with a figure that at first look would seem to be only a shadow. After letting him glance around for a few moments she finally spoke, letting her ghostly voice reach out and stroke the wolf before her. "Looking for me?"

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,425,true] | [atrb=background,http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac192/fireb4ashes/Torro---MIDDLE.png] The officer swung around on his hind quarters when her voice sounded, but didn't stumble backwards when he found them nose to nose. His gold flecked eyes narrowed slightly, the obsidian depths flash slightly with surprise, but even more so, amusement. This wolf had to be good. So, what did she do? Snap a branch on purpose to make he swing around in the opposite direction? Oh, she was good. She was real good. Yet, he didn't let any of his emotions surface as he took her shadowy figure in. She had intense blue eyes, so bright that they stood out against her black bodice perfectly. They could even glow in the dark. He mused to himself. The corners of his mouth pulled into a slight smile before he took a few steps away. No, he could have some fun with her, now couldn't he? He circled her once before coming to a stop some few feet away from in front of her.
Your good. Quiet. I take it that branch snapped because you let it? He asked, his voice strong, and low. He wasn't going to let his voice get all high pitched, and out of tune. His voice was naturally rich and low. Almost as if it were drenched in honey. He arched an eyebrow as he watched her for a few moments. He wasn't going to brag about his status in his pack, naww. Not unless she asked first. He wasn't one to go around, and tell people things that were none of their business. Still, he could flaunt around here for a few moments, and ask questions. Deliberate. Sure. Who are you? He asked curiously, his head lowering just the slightest with the question. It wasn't that he was unsure of himself, it was how he expressed his curiosity. His handsome maw was turned up into a sort of friendly smile, one that told her that she was in no danger.
After all, he didn't react unless he had reason to. One of the many reasons he might have gotten his rank in the pack. Laid back, but firm, relaxed but ready to leap into action if asked. Soft spoken, but knew how to speak. How to weave the words together to form some sort of trance that wolves fell for. It was something of a talent for him. He had that charm about faes, most of them anyways. A few have proven him wrong, but they were just plain out heartless. Effortlessly he allowed himself to rock back on his haunches, and waited with a relaxed disposition for her to answer. After all, he hadn't shown any signs of threat, only of admiration of her skill. He was not the kind of wolf to underestimate another.
No, he himself was no stranger to the dangers of underestimation. The scars that marred his maw seemed to tingle slightly as a reminder. He frowned gently before turning his attention back to the female that was directly in front of him.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i839.photobucket.com/albums/zz315/xxlonetearxx/mireibg_3.jpg]She was almost hoping to see some sort of surprise on his face when he spun around, but it would seem he was careful with what expression crossed his face, however he wasn't completely capable of hiding it, the saying that the eyes were the windows to the soul was true for most save for those few that had mastered that strange dead look in them that gave nothing away, but for this wold it proved once again to be fact, surprise sparked in them for a moment, along with a hint of something else, something seemingly almost carefree.
A smile crossed his face and he circled her once, he was toying with her and she was only in the mood to play her game, not his. Remaining completely still she didn't even flinch as he made his way behind her and back around to the front, her expression relaxed as though she didn't have a care in the world when it came to what he was doing, and in all reality she really didn't care all that much, he didn't seem to be the type to attack without first having a reason to do so and though she had snuck up on him easily from her outward appearance she wouldn't seem the type to pose much of a threat. Oh, but if only he knew what her mind was like, the way she thought, felt, the way she killed heartlessly, coldly, without flinching. She had emotions, but she was good at locking them away, at hardening her heart to take another's life, though she couldn't say that she didn't enjoy, the smell of fresh blood was enough to make her heart pound with adrenalin, the way its heat splashed against her when she killed was an exciting experience, but this wolf knew none of that and therefore was not threatened by her presence.
When he came to a stop before her he spoke, his voice nearly as silky as hers was, it seemed he too had a natural talent for words, just from the sound of his voice she could discern this. "Your good. Quiet. I take it that branch snapped because you let it?" She almost let herself grin at these words, some small spark of pride rising within her, but she kept her face serene. He was a smart one, he knew better then to underestimate others, a good trait to have if one wanted to survive. However she didn't like how quickly he caught on, though it made this all more exciting. "Deliberate. Sure. Who are you?
She watched him carefully, analyzing his every movement, reading him like an open book. She took a step forward, then another, it was her turn to toy with him. Slowly she circled around him, keeping close, letting her fur brush against his, all the while speaking, words spilling like the lyrics of a song. "It doesn't matter who I am. Who you are matters more officer, and don't deny it, I can see it in the way you carry yourself." As she completed her circle she let her tail brush just beneath his chin as she paced away. Despite his relaxed sitting position she herself remained standing. "I know you're an officer of the Order, know tell me, who are you?"
She would get the information she needed, if she was to join this pack like she wished she wanted to know all about who was who, even before she was a member, who to look out for, who she could make her allies. And this wolf before her could just prove himself useful to her as a way to get the information.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,425,true] | [atrb=background,http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac192/fireb4ashes/Torro---MIDDLE.png] Something inside of him nearly responded when her pelt brushed against him. It was something from his past that threatened to bubble to the surface, something that he wished to keep in the past. You see, in his younger days, Torro was quite the man whore, if I must say so myself. He had a way with his charm, and words to bend almost any fae to his will, although this black beauty in front of him proved to be more difficult. She circled him as he had done, only she was taunting with his instincts. "It doesn't matter who I am. Who you are matters more officer, and don't deny it, I can see it in the way you carry yourself." He arched an eyebrow. Ahh, so she could read him like an open book now could she? He hadn't realized how much the rank had already rubbed off on him for he had only held the rank for a few days, and his orders were not yet in. Still, he couldn't help the small smirk that started to spread across his features. She was bold.
"I know you're an officer of the Order, know tell me, who are you?" As she completed her circle her tail ran underneath his chin, and he allowed a small grunt to be heard. One that you usually made when you hit something hard. He narrowed his gold flecked optics on her before speaking. So, you catch on quick as well. Was all he said as he got up, and shook some minor debris from his coat. Apparently, he was playing a game that intended to see through the end. He didn't move forward any, neither did he seem to be willing to answer her question. The wheels in his mind were turning. Could she possibly be another recruit for the Order? He narrowed his irises on her for a moment, and then decided that she was. Truth be told, even if he did know what she really was like he wouldn't have trembled with fear.
He had met many wolves like her. Evil, and blood lusting. He shrugged his broad shoulders before rolling them to loosen his muscles. Alright then. I'll answer your questions. He paused for a moment, and then slowly nodded before continuing. You are correct. I am an officer of the Order. My rank is the Brigadier. My names Torro. He said nonchalantly, shrugging his shoulders as if it really didn't matter. He straightened his composition, and looked at her square in the eye. He smirked slightly, only just slightly before taking on the appearance of a military officer once more. His features hardened slightly as he stood up, and slowly moved forward once more. His columns reached forward silently, massive paws landing on the sod softly.
So, He said clearing his throat before continuing. What else do you want to know?

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i839.photobucket.com/albums/zz315/xxlonetearxx/mireibg_3.jpg]The affect she had on him was interesting, one she hadn't been expecting. What she had thought would happen and what did were two very different things, she expected him to shy away from her touch, to grow uncomfortable by her closeness, the way her presence often made others react. However he tensed, as though fighting off some other feeling and when her tail brushed under his chin the sound he made was oddly fascinating. It almost made her want to try it again just to see what would happen, however she had goals to meet and meet them she would.
He recovered quickly from whatever his strange reaction was and spoke again, his eyes locked on her and slightly narrowed. "So, you catch on quick as well. " It almost seemed like he was a bit uncomfortable with her knowing with just a look that he was an officer, and for whatever reason she decided to play a bit nicer then usual. "Don't worry, its not that obvious, I'm just good at reading every tiny detail and making sense of it."
As he stood she wondered what he was up to next, he didn't seem like he was going to move closer to her at all, yet he had moved from his comfortable position. She wondered if it had something to do with what she had done or if he was trying to appear more threatening. She didn't have long to wait and ponder this before he spoke, then she kept the information close at hand, wanting to play around with it some more before dismissing it. "Alright then. I'll answer your questions. You are correct. I am an officer of the Order. My rank is the Brigadier. My names Torro."
She watched as his serious expression turned into a smirk and then back to a more militaristic one in a matter of moments. She couldn't help but think he was trying to somehow impress her in some strange way, perhaps to prove something. "Mirei." It was only fair to give her name now that she had received his. His rank was one she had not heard of before, it was true that she knew much about the Order, she had observed them long enough to know their habits, who was an officer and who wasn't, the strengths and weaknesses of each individual she had spied upon, but of their inner workings she knew little, there wasn't much she could do to get that type of information without an inside source since she herself could not enter their lands without receiving the penalty of death with no questions asked.
"What else do you want to know?" Yes, he was doing exactly as she wanted, she was sure he was intelligent enough to know that she was playing with him, manipulating him to get what she wanted, you didn't get to be an officer by not using your brain, but he seemed willing enough to tell her some things, though she was sure she would not get all the pack's secrets out of him.
"Its mainly the inner workings, the rankings that I'm curious about. I know some of your motives, your goals, I know the officers from the rest, which wolves are more strict then others, but I know very little about the pack hierarchy." She wondered if he would give her this information or whether he would think it too vital to tell it to an outsider. Silently she waited, blue orbs locked on his own gold flecked ones.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,425,true] | [atrb=background,http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac192/fireb4ashes/Torro---MIDDLE.png] Tha' hell? She's trying to play with my mind. He thought, narrowing his eyes even more when she began asking about the packs inner workings. What'd she want to know? What ranks there were? Where the Alpha was? If she had any brains at all, she would know who the Alpha was. What did she want to know about the hierarchy of the pack? His changes of moods stopped there, and he resumed the serious tone of an officer. Apparently, he found it necessary now that she was wondering about what went on within the packs hierarchy. He was trying to figure out how much information he actually wanted to give her. Taking in a deep breath he nodded to her. Mirel, nice to meet you. He fixed his golden gaze on her once more, dome lowering just the slightest as the wheels in his head began to turn. What would his Alpha want him to do? Slowly, he decided.
The Generalissimus is the head of every one in the pack, but then, you probably already knew that. Next under that is the Field Marshal, Zurian. Then comes the heirs. He stopped there, watching her for a few moments, wondering why this information was so vital to her. He stopped talking, and asked abruptly Why is all this information valuable to you? Your not an enemy, are you? He asked calmly, his disposition not changing in the least bit. He had allowed himself to roll back on his haunches once more, but he was still alert. He was still watching, and waiting. Watching her, making sure she wasn't going to do anything stupid. He didn't like it when some one tried to play him for a fool. Some where in the distance a bird cawed, and small critters were scratching around, searching for food. Food sounded like a good idea right now to Torro, but he had graver things to tend to at the moment.
Such as, why does this femme want so much information on the pack? And, what does she think he is, stupid? Of course he can tell that she was trying to use him, but the truth in all of it was that she couldn't use him. He was giving her the information on his own free will. Now, the only problem was how much he should actually give her. So, he sat patiently, and awaited her answer. This has turned into something the brute had not seen coming when he left his homeland. It almost seemed like he was interrogating her, grilling her for answers that she may, or may not have. Ahh, but that was not it. It was actually the opposite. It was she who grilled him, and he who spit out all the answers as if he were a slot machine, and all she simply had to do was insert a quarter. Well, she isn't getting anymore information out of me until she tells me what she wants with it. He thought.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i839.photobucket.com/albums/zz315/xxlonetearxx/mireibg_3.jpg]She could tell he was uneasy about her questions, the expression on his face changing slightly toward suspicion. She held her breath for a single tense moment, hardly a pause and one that would go completely unnoticed. She remained still otherwise, still waiting, watching the gears turn in his head. The tense atmosphere calmed for a moment when she finally began to get the information she wanted. "The Generalissimus is the head of every one in the pack, but then, you probably already knew that. Next under that is the Field Marshal, Zurian. Then comes the heirs.
She nodded her head slowly, absorbing the information and putting it with the figures she already knew, putting a name and rank to a face. She knew of the Generalissimus, a huge white wolf with only his left ear remaining intact. It was clear in every one of his movements that he was the one in charge of everything, that and the fact that all others answered to him, even those that she knew were officers themselves. His words abruptly stopped for a moment before he continued in a new direction, his words still calm though there was a bit of an edge to them. "Why is all this information valuable to you? Your not an enemy, are you?"
She couldn't blame him for asking this, though if she were in his place she would have made sure he was not an enemy before saying anything about the pack. Her tail swished slight back and forth, a slow movement meant to reassure, she remembered seeing her mother do it when she was very young. "Calm down," though he seemed calm she said the words anyway, her whispery voice having just a slight air of command to it, a firmness to it meant to be listened to. "I'm not an enemy, I'm merely seeking a new home, a place to provide with my skills and loyalties. But I like to know things before I make any final decisions, I wanted to understand how the pack works before risking my life to join it."
She could see the suspicion in his eyes and hoped her words would appease him. She wouldn't get anything more out of him until then and what she said was nothing but the truth. Yes, she was in a way using him to get information, but at the same time she wasn't, he wouldn't give her anything he didn't wish to give her. He was a smart wolf and would go far in life if he kept to this path, she just hoped he would believe her. If she was to join the Order, she didn't need him being distrustful of her right off the bat, she would like to have one ally on the inside before hand, no matter how much she hated giving someone this kind of trust but it was necessary.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,425,true] | [atrb=background,http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac192/fireb4ashes/Torro---MIDDLE.png] The wheels in his head were still turning with every word she spoke. Were her words true enough for him to believe. He watched her; watched her for any emotions that might break through the surface that would prove her statements false. Looked into her eyes, waiting for some emotion that would betray her words, yet he never saw anything that would suggest that she was an enemy from a different pack. In fact, she seemed sincere about her answer. "Calm down," The irony of this statement caused a flicker of amusement to leave the seriousness in his optics, but he managed to keep his composure. Clearing his throat he had resolved to speak once more, but she beat him to it.
"I'm not an enemy, I'm merely seeking a new home, a place to provide with my skills and loyalties. But I like to know things before I make any final decisions, I wanted to understand how the pack works before risking my life to join it." He nodded slowly, understanding her concerns about what pack she should risk her life for or not. Very well then. But be warned, He paused, fixing her with an expression that was anything but funny. What I'm willing to tell you is something that is common knowledge among those that have been in these lands for I am not willing to be pinned a traitor for giving you information you do not deserve. He nodded, believing that this was a reasonable idea. He tilted his crown toward the sky as if he were shooting a prayer to the heavens. Yet, in fact he was thinking about the ranks, and placing faces to their rightful spots.
Right. So, the heirs. There's Volo, Jaedyn, Irina, Zavid, Katya, and Judas. Their The Supreme Commanders. Next under them come the Supreme Officers. Lieutenant General, Zero. Major General, Aice. Brigadier, your looking at him. Polkovnik, none. Rittmeister, Dagonet. He was listing them off all the while pausing in between ranks, and names to make certain that he was getting his information correct. He watched her for a few moments before continuing to speak. They all have their duties, and train different ranks of the pack. Is there any more you would like to know? He asked, flicking his tail behind him. He felt as if he made the right choice. He could trust her, couldn't he? He wasn't getting any strange vibes from her.
From the seriousness in her optics he could see the truth, and the truth was set in stone. She was serious about wanting to join the pack, just hesitant because she didn't know who she could, or couldn't trust. Torro himself had trouble trusting others, though you would never be able to guess that. A bird called in the distance, causing one audit of Torro's to flick to the side. His attention was partly taken off of the femme in front of him, but his optics were trained on her, and her alone.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i839.photobucket.com/albums/zz315/xxlonetearxx/mireibg_3.jpg]She was glad he seemed to believe her words, she didn't want to deal with an angry officer that thought she was the enemy, she really wasn't in the mood for a fight, she did know that if it happened it wouldn't end well at all. She could hold her own, even if he was larger then her she would do anything and everything to win. But he believed the honesty in her words and so he continued where he left off.
"What I'm willing to tell you is something that is common knowledge among those that have been in these lands for I am not willing to be pinned a traitor for giving you information you do not deserve." She nodded once briefly, she wasn't looking for all their deepest darkest secrets, she just wanted to know more about them.
"Right. So, the heirs. There's Volo, Jaedyn, Irina, Zavid, Katya, and Judas. Their The Supreme Commanders. Next under them come the Supreme Officers. Lieutenant General, Zero. Major General, Aice. Brigadier, your looking at him. Polkovnik, none. Rittmeister, Dagonet." As he spoke she picked out the names she recognized from the conversations she had heard, putting faces to them when she could. It seemed much more complicated then her last pack where they only had the alpha pair and the beta pair in charge. "They all have their duties, and train different ranks of the pack. Is there any more you would like to know?"
She was glad to have a bit more knowledge of the pack though it was far from complete. However she didn't want to push him for more answers, knowing that he probably couldn't tell her much more without it being a risk to him. A small chime like chuckle escaped her composed expression, blending in with the words she spoke next. "Are all the packs here so complex? I've studied them all as much as I could and I know many of the officers on sight but I've never taken the time to work into their ranks, to get them to trust me, I've been so focused on finding a new home I didn't really see the point in that though it would be easy to do. Except for the Order of course."
Well now that all that was out of the way she wasn't sure what would happen next. Would they go their separate ways or continue to talk, to learn more about each other? She wasn't particularly pleased with that line of thought, she didn't want anyone to know more about her then they needed and at the moment there really wasn't anything he needed to know about her. Perhaps if she entered the ranks of the Order and learned that he could be trusted just a little bit then she would open up a little bit, but until then he would accomplish little on that front if he tried to cross those boundaries.
