Sort of. As to if the other packs were this complex he had no idea. He had come straight to the Order because he felt as if he had a chance there. And it turns out that he had been right. Their alpha had seen him from the inside out, and decided Torro to be a true knight, one that he could trust within the walls of the Order. His chest swelled with pride for a moment, his eyes sparkling with the acknowledgment that he had changed his life around. Change himself from a wolf that hurt other for just the pure pleasure of it. To watch their hearts shatter into a million microscopic shards of glass that couldn't be glued together by even the most skilled craftsmen. Clearing his throat slightly, he narrowed his eyes on her as if trying to concentrate. "Are all the packs here so complex? I've studied them all as much as I could and I know many of the officers on sight but I've never taken the time to work into their ranks, to get them to trust me, I've been so focused on finding a new home I didn't really see the point in that though it would be easy to do. Except for the Order of course."
A robust chuckle echoed from his slender maw, and echoed into the atmosphere around them. The swamp almost seemed to be void of all life, lest you counted the green leaves that blocked out the sun for the most part, save the green light that faded through the canopy. I wouldn't know how complex the other packs hierarchy is. I went straight to the Order. Turns out, I might have made the right decision, wouldn't you say? The other packs, they have their different systems, I suppose. I don't guess they do everything t he same way that we the Order do it. He fell silent for a moment, regarding her with an intelligence that not many wolves could claim to have. He was an officer, after all, so he had to be observant. He had to keep his eyes open. He had to be able to think on the turn of a dime. The thought caused the corners of his maw to twist into a sick sadistic smirk for a fraction of a moment before disappearing.
So, what rank would you want if you were going to join the Order? You said you took an interest in the pack, so why not tell me a little bit about it? I understand if I have not fully earned your trust. Just tell me what your comfortable with me knowing. He said idly, his tail sweeping the sod behind him. It seemed silly, really. Silly that an officer of the Order would be having idle chat with a wolf that didn't seem to converse very often. After all, she had only stopped to talk to him because she had recognized his scent. So, he waited for a few moments, allowing his head to tilt oh so slightly to the right.

Eyes narrowed slightly in irritation but otherwise she remained still, times like these really made her hate interacting with others and made her remember why it was easier to kill them then to converse with them. She always had to keep herself in check, she was patient yet at the same time had a temper that could go unmatched, it was always a struggle to keep it reined in when dealing with others, but much practice allowed her to do so without others really noticing.

The other packs, they have their different systems, I suppose. I don't guess they do everything t he same way that we the Order do it." She nodded once at his words, understanding perfectly, she herself was in a similar situation. But one day she would find out, nothing stayed hidden from her for long. Her eyes finally broke away from him, she gave him just enough trust to not have to watch his every movement carefully. Instead she looked at the light filtering down around them, the wonderful shadows it cast, this swamp really wasn't as bad as she originally thought, she could even grow to like one day. The changing of the light had now cast her into darkness, only a dim outline of her body could really be seen and her glowing blue eyes.
Eyes snapped back to him as he spoke again, his melting tones drawing her attention back to him. "So, what rank would you want if you were going to join the Order? You said you took an interest in the pack, so why not tell me a little bit about it? I understand if I have not fully earned your trust. Just tell me what your comfortable with me knowing."
What she was comfortable with him knowing, ha, for most that would just be a means to get her to trust them, a line used frequently, but with him it sounded sincere. It was a little confusing really, as to why he was being this polite and kind to her when she was used to be being away and looked down upon, seen as weak. It made her show more vulnerability, she usually had a perfectly cold and blank exterior, but she kept catching herself making tiny expressions, she could feel her normally icy gaze warming slightly. It was unnerving really and it made her pause for a moment before answering.
"Rank? I suppose where ever my skills could be used best, and something that would keep me entertained. The Order reminds me most of my old pack, it would be simple to slip back into the feel of things, adjust from spending so much time as a loner. Besides, from observing the other packs I know I would never quite feel comfortable with them." She didn't know what else to say without revealing any more about herself and her past. And so her smooth and ghostly words cut off, the silence after them almost ringing like an echo.
