Whisper Midnight fur a blur. Heart pounding. I couldn't breathe. I held still as I waited for the nightmare to crept closer, closer. I couldn't move. My sliver-blue eyes kept thier gaze on the monster that crept closer. My eyes flashed opened. Just a nightmare, I told myself. That's all. Nothing to be afraid of. All the same, I wanted to keep alert. It's never too late to do that. I streched out my long legs, slowly rising from the hard cold ground. I shivered, my seemily delicate body shaking like a leaf in the cold. It wasn't that delictae through, I have survived harsher winters than this. At this, so far. My sliver-blue eyes darted arround the meadow, taking measure of every living thing that breathed. My ears twitched, listening to the call of a songbird as it sang in the early morning light. Time to wake, wake up, it seemed to be saying to me. Forget your dreams. The wind whistled through the treetops, singing it's own song. I've always loved to listen to the wind, water, and everything else. so much that I tended to forget myself. Mentally, I shook myself. Time to think about that later, after I dealt with today's events. Like finding food. I sniffed the air, my sliver head rising in the air. Nothing. Too bad. Now I'll have to leave this pretty meadow. Maybe later, I told myself. Just relax.

Yet, she had over looked one important thing. Some how, and he didn't know how, she had missed him. He had been watching the she-wolf from the grasp of the shadows, honey suckle optics taking in her form. She didn't look like she would be a threat to him, but you could never be sure. He seemed to be running into many other wolves lately. All seemed to be female. Were they really trying to tease him? Was nature really that cruel to him? Slowly, with stealth like movements he stalked out of the shadows, and toward her as if she were his prey. He wore a mask of creamy on his face, and under belly, while the rest of his body was pure as snow. Normally, he was covered in a blanket of gray with a few splotches of white, but it was winter. In the winter, his fur got lighter. He could easily blend in with the snow that blanketed the lands.
His nimble columns moved him forward easily; each muscle in his body working like clock work to accomplish the task. What was that task? To get to the female. His bushy tail swung behind him lazily, leaving a lazy trail of butterfly kisses along the ground. Once he reached her, he figured he better be able to defend himself. After all, he knew what it was like to be stalked. Most of the time, your apt to attack your stalker if you were startled. So, he cleared his throat, and opened his slender maw to speak.
Excuse me, sweetheart. His dark, and robust lyrics filled the empty silence that had fallen over the meadows. He watched her curiously, watching her body for tensing muscles, or signs of hostility. A smirk had managed to curl the sides of his maw, making him look to be demonic. The scar above his right eye didn't help either. The silky scar was void of hair, a constant reminder to what trouble he could get himself into. Enough about that, though. He had other things to focus on now. I hadn't meant to startle you, if I have. I was merely passing through, and happened upon you, He rolled back on his haunches with care free motions, though he never allowed hi optics to leave her form, not even for a second. After all, she could chose to be hostile. He would hate to hurt a girl. If you don't mind me asking sweetheart, what are you doing all the way out here? He had an odd speech pattern, but it wasn't something to take offense to. Just simply be aware.

I lazily watched the grass wave as the wind blew. Little fluffy white balls began to fall from the sky. I sighed in pleasure. I loved snow. It was so perfect, those little white flakes falling from the sky. All of a sudden, I felt like there were eyes watching me. The light-grey fur on my neck began to prickle. My hunter sense were telling me something. I whirled around, sure there was something there. Nothing. Was I getting paranoid? No, surely not. But I still had that feeling of being watched. I slowly began to pace, my eyes flicking around, looking for something that would give substance to my fears. The wind blew, harder than it was before, and I smelled danger. Excuse me, sweetheart I jumped, my fur sticking straight up. Finally, a comforation that I wasn't just being paranoid. It was wolf, a male by the sound of his voice, so deep and robust. I whirled around to face the voice, oddly calm. There he was. He had creamy fur on his face and belly and pure white on the rest. Oddly simalar to me, if you didn't count the black on my paws. I stood straight, my tail limp and my ears tall so I could hear better. I hadn't meant to startle you, if I have. I was merely passing through, and happened upon you, I looked at him in the eye. Oddly enough, his eyes were a honey suckle brown and there was a scar above one eye. I took account of that, but I was sure he wasn't too much dangerous. That scar could have come from anywhere. If you don't mind me asking sweetheart, what are you doing all the way out here? I shook my head, not wanting to speak. That's how I was. I wasn't super shy of another wolves, it's just I prefer to watch and listen rarther than speak. It serves me better than jumping in head-first. The meadow turned oddly quiet. I fought the urge to speak, to fill in the silence. But it was a lost cause. " What do you want? " i said, my voice oddly harsh. I was surprised at myself, how much irration was in my voice. I usally don't go picking fights.

" What do you want? "
He tilted his head at the sudden harshness in her voice. That was no way to be. Not when he was being relatively nice to her. Nevertheless, a chuckle slipped in-between his chops, and filled the air with the robust sound. He shook his crown, and fixed her with his honey suckle gaze. He wasn't looking to pick fights, but he wasn't going to let her bitch him out for doing nothing wrong. Now, sweetheart, there's no need to be hostile, or harsh. Like I've said before, I had only been passing through the area, and happened upon you, he said gently, watching her with keen eyes. I'm not going to harm you, doll. he added, shaking debris from his coat while he summed her up. He wasn't sure why she acted as if he was holding a knife to her throat. He wasn't, was he?
Divide diverted his gaze from hers, and looked to their surroundings. It was early morning, and the sun was just peeking over the mountain tops, and a sliver of light was seen. Beautiful colors of light blue, pink, purple, and orange streaked across the sky. It was really beautiful, if you were into that sort of thing. Divide was not. He looked toward her once more, and a smirk was plastered across his face. It curled up at the corners of his mouth for just a moment before disappearing all together. My calling is Divide, dove. Would it be wrong to ask you what your name is? he asked, tilting his head to the side. A slight breeze brushed past their forms, and ruffled his coat slightly. Divide was different, that was for sure.

He chuckled. For some reason, that irrated me even more. I look at him, my sliver-blue eyes flashing. But not into his eyes. I didn't want to, my natural shyness taking over. Now, sweetheart, there's no need to be hostile, or harsh. Like I've said before, I had only been passing through the area, and happened upon you, I lashed my tail out, the only sign of my irration. At the same time, I sighed, my breath a white cloud in the early morning cold. He was watching me, keeping his eyes locked on me. I looked up, into his honeysuckle eyes, for a breif second, and then dropped my eyes back down, looking at his feet. I inhaled deeply, taking in his scent, so if I have to, I could find him again. I'm not going to harm you, doll. My oddly colored eyes flashed with anger. So, he thought I looked like a doll? Yeah, right. Just because I looked weak and unable to fight, didn't mean that I wouldn't. I wasn't made for fighting and never would be. I held back a sharp remark. I felt the sun on my back as it lifted higher into the sky. Soon, it will burn away the numbing cold that attacked my pelt. I looked up for a second, unwilling to look away from the stranger. I sucked my breath in. It was beautiful out, the sun ray's making the sky look like it was on fire. It matched my mood, the light blue and orange and red. Perfect. I turned my gaze back to the stranger. My calling is Divide, dove. Would it be wrong to ask you what your name is? I shook my head no, my eyes never leaving him and yet not looking into his honey suckle eyes. I took a breath. " My name is Whisper, " I said softly, so differant from how I last spoke to him.

" My name is Whisper, "
Smirking, he nodded, remembering her name just in case they met later on in life. Whisper? He repeated, just to make certain that he had gotten her name right. He tilted his head to the side, audits on top of his poll perking forward for a moment. Lovely name. He murmured gently, his honey suckle eyes going soft for a few moments. He didn't blame her for not wanting to talk to him. He seemed to come off rather...harsh at first, but he wasn't really that rude. Today was just an off day. He sucked in some oxygen, filling his lungs with it before exhaling the sweet life saving element. As he released the breath he looked to her once more, his intelligent eyes taking her form in.
He wasn't as much as a ladies man as his brother, Torro was. But he did have his moments when it was questionable. With out saying another word he fell silent, watching her. Trying to figure out why she was out here all by herself. Without really thinking he asked So's, what brings you out here all by your self? He asked curiously.

Whisper? I nodded, looking down at my black paws. A wind stirred the grass and I shivered, my body not used to the cold. Lovely name. I glanced at his eyes for a split second and saw that they were soft now. I shook myself. Don't think about, Whisper. Just don't. So's, what brings you out here all by your self? I slightly jumped at the question. He was nosy, apparently. I looked at him, my eyes flashing again as I thought about it. " Why do you care? " I said, hostile, surprising myself. I looked down at my paws again, my breath cold in the chill morning air. I risked a glance over to the sky to see how far the sun was now. It was a lttle higher, but not by much. I sighed, my breath forming a chill cloud in the air. I so wish it wasn't winter, that it was spring or fall, when everything seemed perfect. I sighed again, wishing everything was perfect. But... no, it couldn't be. I was chased in my dreams by a monster I couldn't name, the chill winter air had me freezing during the night, and I didn't have a mission. Life was just....perfect, wasn't it? I shook myself, but lightly, so the stranger wouldn't notice that my sliver-blue eyes were glazed over with other thoughts. I pulled myself back to the present. " What do you want? " I said, my voice quiet, but still forceful. Right now, I didn't want to have deal with a stranger, as much as I wanted to be alone. My eyes danced arround the clearing, taking in everything, just in case I needed a quick escape from any nightmares or dreams.

" Why do you care? "
Divide was soooo not in the mood to deal with bitchy females at the moment. It had been a simple question. He narrowed his eyes, and slowly stood up. If she didn't want him here, then he would leave, but not without saying something first. He snorted with indignity, and shook the debris from his pelt. Perhaps I was just trying to be polite to a fae that looked like she needed a friend, is all. I suppose I was wrong, wasn't I? He retorted, chasms of honey suckle glaring at the femmora for but a moment before he looked away.
" What do you want? "
A smirk danced across his maw as she asked the question. Why do you care? He mimicked, shaking his crown in disgust. Look, if your not going to be civil, then I might as well not be. In fact, excuse me for trying and being nice. So, if you don't mind, I will excuse myself. Good day, miss. He grunted, swinging his bodice around, and allowing his paws to carry him out of the glade. Of course, she could stop him, but why would she? She didn't want to be friendly. He would remember that.[/blockquote]

Perhaps I was just trying to be polite to a fae that looked like she needed a friend, is all. I suppose I was wrong, wasn't I? I looked up, startle. A..friend? Me, need a friend? I wanted to laugh at that, but reconsidered. What if this male. Divide, took offense? By the tone of his voice, he was clearly annoyed with me. Why do you care? I shook my head. " I don't know, " I said truthfully, my tone quiet. I looked at him, kept my gaze locked on his honey-suckle eyes. Look, if your not going to be civil, then I might as well not be. In fact, excuse me for trying and being nice. So, if you don't mind, I will excuse myself. Good day, miss. He turned around to leave and walked halfway out the meadow before I made my mind and followed him, swirling around to face him. This is what my mind was going through in those few moments while he walked out the meadow. Really, really? I meet someone who acts the least bit friendly to me and I drive them away? Typical me. And that's when I sighed and bounded over to him. " I'm sorry, " I said, my head down and my voice pleading. " I just haven't seen anyone in so long that I don't know what to say. Will you forgive me?" I stared into his honey-suckle eyes with my sliver-blue ones for a long minute and then looked way, pleading with my eyes for him to stay. I looked at my black paws, ashamed of my behavior.

~~I'm switching views. " I'm sorry, "
She had bounded up to me, stopping me in my tracks, asking me to stay here. Telling me that she was sorry. I thought about it for a few seconds, considering my options. I could tell her that I didn't feel like staying, but I wasn't a cruel wolf, you see. So, I sighed, and took a few steps back, indicating that I would stay. Her lyrics filled my audits once more, and I had to reconsider. " I just haven't seen anyone in so long that I don't know what to say. Will you forgive me?"
I found myself foolishly nodding, and said Of course. It's just, if you have nothing to say, then don't say anything. You don't have to say something on my account. He nodded, his honey suckle eyes darting around for a bit as he considered what she had said. Was there something wrong? Could he help her with anything? I doubted it. I wasn't really good at helping wolves with their problems because I had plenty of my own problems that I has yet to solve. I watched her for a few moments, wondering why she was out here all alone once more. So, I asked. Any particular reason your out here by yourself? Perhaps I could be of assistence. I muttered, watching her for a moment before looking to the shadows once more.
